  1. Ok, I'm tired of talking about it. If you are interested in starting a organized Sport bike club, leave your forum name and email, IM or some other contact info. What I'm trying to do is organize rides...events...etc. Stunters are welcome, but please keep it off the public visible roads. I love to watch stunts, but I don't want to be worried about picking you up off the ground or watching you run from the cops.

My idea for rides consists of back roads, twisties...private back roads where we can open it up if we want to, and then maybe stop for some food and liquid nurishment.

If you're down, or know some folks who would be down, start replying below.

  2. For crying out loud...I'm feeling damn old now. '97 and '98 graduates...sheesh.

As for the fishing....it's probably best to leave the fish in the lake. I've not been down by hot waters in a loooong time. Especially since they opened the boat launchs off Broadway and the launches in Avon.

I don't even let my kids near the lake. It's pretty nasty near Lorain.

And yeah, I graduated in 88 so I feel old too.

  3. So let me get this straight. You're new and have not made your formal introduction in the proper forum? :beating: Where's Satan....I vote for a ban.

Just messing with ya. If you were in VV yesterday you should have stopped at the Lube for their bike night. I haven't been out there in a while because we have a Lube a lot close w/ bike nights on Wed. and Thurs. Glad you enjoyed you trip though. Next time head out to the Lube in Sheffield and I'll buy you a drink.

Are you near Sheffield? I'm in Lorain (eck). You headin' up to Quaker tomorrow? If so, say whats up. I'm on a black 06 ZX10, with a muzzy GP style exhaust...and dreadlocks. Won't be hard to miss. I won't get there until around 7 though..I've got a root canal before hand.

  4. I was going to say the same thing, about both parts. I have family up that way too. As for the forum, this is for you guys and gals. Start your group. Tell all the riders you know / see about this website. Organize your rides. That's what this place is all about. If you need help, let me know. We're working on getting postcard sized fliers made. I can send you some to hand out, or you could make your own. It's completely up to you.

Good ideas...both of you. I'm trying to get a couple of things together and get this thing started. I probably won't have much for this riding season...but hopefully over the winter months more peeps will be online lookin' to organize.

  5. That's the problem...riding with knuckleheads. DSB is great..riders of every skill level. when they ride, they use hand signals..the route is planned in advance..there are designated catch up spots. everyone has a good time. if someone is going to pop a wheelie or do some serious speed its always in the back country roads with no one around. DSB has a lot of fun on their rides. Some drink, some don't..but we all have a good time. I'm looking for the same type of thing in Cleveland. They are very organized on the net.

I live in lorain..but work in Beachwood.

  6. I'll let you know the next time I go up there.I'm still undecided about the Akra. I found a deal on the titanium color, for $1100 for the full race exhaust and $600 for the cans...can't beat that price. BUT everyone who has a ZX-10 with an aftermarket exhuast has the Akra. I like to be different...so I am sorta lookin at the Boz Bros because there are no pipes /cans in the back. BUT I don't like the dyno map I've seen and more than a few people have taken them back because they are TOO loud. I'm going to pull the trigger tonight after I get home from work...I just don't know which trigger to pull yet.

  7. Ever since last year, I've been trying to find someone to ride with. I live on the far west side, and I can't seem to find any seriously organized groups other than the guys in Toledo and Columbus. I'm trying to find something in the realm of www.detroitsportbikes.com, which I've rolled with before. They are a great bunch of guys, and organize rides every weekday/weekend as well as special events.

Does this animal exist in Cleveland?

  8. I check it out every once in a while. The place is usually packed. My ZX-10 is in the process of being rebuilt so I won't be hitting bike night for a few weeks. If you see a black zx-10 with the Akra exhaust, say HI. There may be two black zx-10s with the akra..I'm the one with the dreads.

  9. I'll be spending my weekend fixing the damage from my 10mph lowside while delivering the bike to a buyer last week. Then I get to start the process of finding a new buyer! If I'm lucky, I'll have a new ride by June.

Oh man, the timing on that one sucks! Was there much damage?

  10. Nothing against Mustangs! I really don't get into street racing...or anything that will cause me to spend $$ on tickets or higher insurance rates..but this guy picked a fight. I don't start 'em..but I sure end 'em. :)

    Anyways..thanks for all the love.

Is there anywhere on the west side where folks hang out or meet to go hit the twisties?

  11. Thanks for the Welcomes! I got to get out for a bit..but my godbrother in MI called me and told me that a DSB rider (Detroit Sport Bikes) went down today. He is OK, but the bike isn't as lucky. All things considered, he should count his lucky stars (he flipped over the handlebars).

Annnnd......why do folks in turbo charged Mustangs feel the need to race me? OMG. I was minding my own business too! :thefinger:

The front end came up as i was shifting into second (somewhere around 100 MPH) and I was still leaving him in the dust. I don't advocate this type of behavior, but then again I don't advocate letting Mustangs or any other car dog me out either. :D It was all in good fun.

  12. Hey all...stumbled on this site last year but just now gettin' around to posting. I've only been riding for a year, and I've got two bikes: 2006 ZX10 Ninja and a 1995 FZR1000.

I live on the far west side of Cleveland, and I'm always looking for folks to ride with. I don't stunt, but I am addicted to the torque and speed.

Hopefully in about an hour I'll be out riding, so I'll cut this short.

    Later!
