There was a decent amount of gravel. and the new pavement doesn't really provide the best traction.

Really sucks to hear about the wreck. I almost lost it on gravel today myself, and scared the living shit out of my self.. but I wasn't going but 30. I couldn't imagine hitting it at 40-45.. Hope you heal quickly.

But, it beat the crap out of me.. and I loved it. I also got my beer after I dropped the bike off.. so all is well.

I didn't think going into it that it wasn't going to be hard, nor that I would be without worry or stress.. But I was surprised. I was out that way with a group of my friends who recreationaly race Auto-X and such, and one of their friends who was on a bike (thank god that I wasn't the only rider). Because they had all been there before I got left behind several times, which really wasn't appreciated, but the other rider paced me slowing down in the straight aways so if shit happened we both were somewhat covered. Had a blast, but it definitely let me know where my riding stands. I hate to make it sound like I was cocky going into it, because I don't think that I was.. but this made me feel like it was my first day on a bike. The worst feeling ever is looking at an ambulance in my lane doing 35+ right after a turn.. I almost shit myself. 9am-10pm, 2 and a half tanks later I'm worn the fuck out and the only thing on my mind is beer.. Cold beer. I may or may not have some pictures later.. I need to find out who had a camera.

Yeah, sorry I missed this. I doubt that I'll be around for much longer anyway. I'll try to make at least 1 more bike night before I leave though.

This will go to court and there will definitely be money in the bank. Just like the PA kid who got choked while he was cuffed in the back of a cop car. But, these are young kids. Invest wisely children.

I have a good friend who worked at the Polaris offices, he's since transfered out.. I guess Ohio was just a temporary location.

I personally hate touch screen phones.. hence why iphone doesn't do anything for me. Internet on a phone is old to me and so is music and video really. I have a Blackberry and a T-Mobile Dash (by far the best phone I think I've owned). The prices for the phone are good considering the technology, however it's not a huge convience when something goes wrong. Imagine 6 months down the line and you're $600 phone thats still back ordered get's stuck in horizontal mode. Or even worse locks up. Or it could just lag and lag and lag. For both my phones together I pay under a hundred a month with unlimited data/text/ect on the Dash and combined minutes of 3000+. I get XM on my Dash which far surpasses what 4gigs of space offers in terms of a music library. I also get the full benefits of running windows on my phone such as viewing all my Excel price lists, reading PDFs, and basically offering an office in my pocket. Oh, and I get to play NES and SNES emulators on my phone. There's really nothing exclusive except the "I" stamp it gets. IMO it's a waste of good energy.

Sucks I had to bail (so fucking early too).. looks like a blast. Next time I'll actually make sure my bikes running 100% before I go to ride with everyone.

It was horrible. I don't like how the lines came out, so I'm going to pinstripe it tomorrow and hopefully have it back together next week sometime.

Did a lot of maintenance to the bike today, and thought I'd get rid of some extra paint I had laying around.. As most of you know, the paint already sucked.. so what's the worst that could happen. Anyway, here's a quick teaser shot. I'm still undecided as to whether I like the blue or not.. but it's growing on me.

stealth and I showed up as Flounder and people were leaving.. saw storms and decided to leave. even on the way home we saw lightening and such.. got back here and it didn't rain all night..
