  6. 88M not bad. Joe aka Mojoe On here is an 88M on here if I'm not mistaken. From what I know of 88M in country, you run convoys north, south, east and west in country. You may drive a big sitting target(HETT, LMTV etc) or maybe roll in a gun truck. I won't lie when I say it sucks doing that shit. Escorting convoys with KBR turds, or just escorting AAFES trucks or retarded Iraqis. I won't lie when I say mostly dangerous because you're taking a non-combat MOS and sticking it in role in which didn't used to train to do so. Good job never the less, you'll pick up knowledge of how shitty equipment can be. Where you headed to basic/AIT?
  7. I'll respond when I'm not using one hand and looking at a 3in screen.

    New dude.

Why frenchtoast? Do you like it a lot? Do you look like toast? What do you eat on your french toast? It should be Freedom Toast.
  13. Not OK, but seriously they're cops. Judge/Law will always side with their sworn law enforcement officers. It may not be right, but that's how it is.

Then it feels like a stranger is doing it.
  15. If you want a nice plinking gun, pick it up $350 is a good deal. I'm a firm believer of .40S&W/.45ACP too. (It used to be mine btw)
  16. Ben, As long as you haven't committed a crime, shakey background, or a military background, you should be able to walk right out with any weapon same day. Most civilians with clean records will walk in and out with their firearms, where I wait for a few days and pick mine up.
  17. Just exchange name, number, address. Put it on a piece of paper, write model of weapon down with serial number, both sign and state how much said weapon was sold for. Include date and signature, basically that's all you need. It's a nice firearm too, it'll shoot straight even if you don't. I shot winchester FMJ's through it a bit, but had Federal 124 grain Hydrashocks for the personal protection sense. I'd personally do a set of night sights, get a TLR1/X300 Surefire tac light, and some more Federal 124 grain Hydrashock ammo. [bTW] Mag release is ambi, so the botton is on both sides to drop the mag. That's one big reason I always liked the gun. I've got a gunsmith I know that can do work if you need it.
  18. Do what you think is best, you won't regret it. Best of luck.
  19. BTW: CR.com member pricing will be up shortly. So disreguard the $85/3 pull.
  20. 88M transportation may give you the CDL or Hazmat you're looking for. Don't get me wrong I had a blast being half infantry/Combat engineer. I got to blow shit up, kick in doors, serve on a Bradley Fighting vehicle crew, fire all kinds of weapons, and get stuck in the middle east for about 2 years. To be honest with you, I miss being active, but it is a sacrifice if you do choose the active route. My advice is do the active thing before the reserves thing. The reserves part will mess with time in service, grade, pay etc.. It doesn't all transfer over, trust me. There are ups and downs to both sides, but I'm happy being in the national guard for now. If I were to do it over, I would've just stayed in and gone to Italy. I deffinately wouldn't rule out the other services, but the Army by far, pays the best in bonus's and college green backs. I'll be recieving about $1,275/month (Active GI BILL) while I go to school, on top of 100% in state tuition. It's not a bad deal in the least bit, and I got $20K for coming over to the guard from the active world. If you wanna hear a my opinion we could do so over some beers.
  21. Cheap firearm to mod aswell, I already miss it BTW great deal, they sell new for well into the $550 range.
  22. What is a load bearing dyno? Most dynos measure how fast you spin the roller from a beginning rpm to an ending rpm give a horsepower and torque reading from there. No matter what the vehicle weighs, the rollers of the dyno always weigh the same amount. A load bearing dyno works a little bit differently. On our dyno we input the weight of the vehicle and also the aerodynamic factor of the vehicle being tested. From there, through the use of an Eddy Current Power Absorption Unit, the rollers are loaded to simulate actual vehicle weight and even more load is added as the vehicle accelerates simulating wind resistance as well. With a load bearing setup the vehicle actually accelerates as it would on the street. A load bearing dyno is also not limited to wide open throttle horsepower sweeps like the other dynos. Low speed drivability, 0-60 runs, ¼ mile runs, inclines, and towing simulation are just a few of the tests that can only be done on a load bearing dyno like the AWD-500-SE.
