It was indeed a great day to be on 2 wheels. Only had 3 hrs so I jumped on 9>145>556>7>148>9>147> home. They're finishing up details on 556 but paving is completed. So nice! JC, just a heads up. 26 from Woodsfield to Jerusalem was closed the last time I was down that way in late July for a slip repair about 6 miles north of Woodsfield. You may want to check Monroe Co. ODOT (District 10 I think) site to see if its open/for updates. I wish I could meet the group for lunch and ride a bit with you but saturdays are domestic duty days for me. Speed safely.

I ran into a gent at work this week who lives on SR145 just north of Lewisville. He informed me that it has been repaved from Lewisville (SR78) to Malaga ((SR800). He also thought that 556 and 536 were going to be repaved before winter. A quick look at ODOT District 10 website seems to confirm this. Looks like a repave is planned for 556, 536, most of 255 and 145(already done). The drilling/fracking has cooled of for now so hopefully this lasts for a while.

Any interest in a 1994 RGV 250 Gamma? Clean OHIO title. Bought 5 years ago complete and running (with a new heat cycled only Fischer engine). Tyga chambers. Wanted to do a complete refurbish but seems like no time to work on it. Frame is powder coated and engine back in the frame with wheels on. Pics available is interested. PS: I had and RZ 350 hybrid (RG swingerarm/linkage/forks and wheels) 90 percent completed. Ran out of enthusiasm. Sold it 2 years ago. Sad.

Rode 536, 556 two weeks ago. Kent's assessment of 536 is unfortunately very accurate. Painful to ride even on the sumo. 556 is patched and a bit rough in places but overall not bad if your careful. Almost no truck traffic now. Have ridden it 5-6 times this year. drc32, you my want to check to see if proctor ridge/Amos hollow is open. They have been announcing on the radio Co. 89 in Marshall Co.(I believe that's proctor ridge rd.)as being closed for repair. May want to check WVDOT website to confirm. Bridge at 26/260 is open now. Rode 145, 565, 260 to new matamoros last weekend. Good fun as usual. Heads up. 145 from 145/148 intersection to just outside of Bealsville has been repaved. Rode it twice last weekend! Speed safely!

Congrats on the new Duc! I'm a big Ducati fan (my screen name is a clue). I haven't had one in the stable for a while but I've been eyeing late model 1100 EVO's of late for my next ride. Speed safely!

Hey Dave, congrats on the move. The 2 guys I routinely ride with (sumo's) are in your neck of the woods just about every other weekend. We frequent, 339, 530, Dalzell Rd and the usual suspects you are familiar with. Will have to get together. Once the riding season gets here I'll txt you when we are heading out.

He will help with delivery too! All good input above. The Duc would likely be the better choice for you're stated use. As long as IP is around, getting competent service would be a non-issue.

Jim, Thanks for the heads up on 255. I too have avoided it this year. I'm planning on hitting a few of the usual susupects in that area this weekend and will add 255 to the play list.

Initially it appears they did..... Unfortunately, there's only new pavement for first 1/4mile... then the old pavement to 148. It's still in pretty good shape for the most part.

Just a quick heads up for anyone riding in the Woodsfield/Beallsville area. SR26 from about 4 miles outside of Woodsfield to the intersection of 26/145 at Jerusalem is all new pavement. A fun twisty bit of road and a nice way to get from Woodsfield to Beallsville if your tired of Rt.800/145. Speed safely... :-)
