  11. rides really good, its lite on its feet for a big bike. obviously it doesnt handle like the other bikes ive owned, but im ok with it. its a great touring bike that has alot of character. and it will get me anywhere i need to go in comfort. i may raise the back up a little bit though.. after i lowered it i can really tell the loss of ground clearance in the corners
  12. this is the third time we have taken this annual trip. 3 years ago i decided i wanted to make sure me and my father get atleast one good 3 day adventure in. Every year we have kept the promise. this time was a little extra special, cause i got to ride with my father and my 76 year old grandfather. 3 generations of Hoblicks riding together. I had my wife with me as well, and a few others went to! my father had the trip all planned out left on saturday morning returned today. we took RT 16 from WV into Virginia, ended up in Marion Virginia, next day Rode RT311 into Roanoke and into Lewisburg, on that route we jumped off and rode some of the blue ridge as well, then headed back up 60 the next day and stopped at new river gorge and Hawks nest. it was a great ride, great weather.. im very happy i can enjoy these things with family.. now on to the pics.. My Grandfather Dad and the 3 of us the group and me and the wifey up on 16.. great roads and some riding pics blue ridge parkway and more pics.. Grandfather looks happy! mountains in the horizon New River Gorge Bridge Happy!! 3 Generations at Hawks Nest stopped at a waterfall

  14. you guys are funny.. its not all Harley Riders its every make and model with d bags on top of them same goes with sport bikes with idiots on them blasting past you at over 100 when your already doing 10 - 15 over the speed limit we had a great ride this weekend, and never held anyone up lol had alot of floor board scrapin going on though P.S. the only reason i hate owning a harley... Being Stereo Typed
  15. Ok here is the story i was looking over the harley thursday night just to make sure everything was good to go for my big weekend trip. Everything looked god, then i went to check my belt tension and check rear tire pressure. Oh shit.. my drive belt is trashed.. upon further inspection it seems the 6 gauge negative battery cable that connects to the motor had been right up against the belt. The belt rubbed 3/4 the way through it. And the heavy wires inturn cut by belt up. I no replacing the belt is a big job, and i dont have some of the tools to do the job, nor the time, we were leaving the next day in the evening. On top of that the total prixe was gonna be almost $800 out the door..$525 of it labor So i wake up early call every local harley dealer, no one had a belt and they couldnt get me in anyway. Finally i located the only belt in ohio.. in carroll ohio at carsons harley davidson. Well one problem solved.. now i need a place to change it.. Called iron pony even though i thought there is no way id be able to get it in and done in within the day. I spoke to dave in servixe, he got me right in and guranteed it be done by 7. His promise was kept, and he did an amazing job. He used to ne lead tech at a.d. farrow, so he knows his shit. And on top if that he charged 3 hours labor vs the harley dealers 6. So waljed out with a $240 bill. Needless to say the bike is on the road and we are currently in virginia.. bike is performing flawlessly.. Thanks a million Dave!
