UPDATE: The situation was resolved. i see a bike i want there.. derek actually poiints me in its direction on tuesday.. i talk to a sales guy, i get a quote for the bike OTD and a quote on trade in for my VFR.. he gives me xxxx price on my bike completely stock no extras.. so i mull it over call them and say ok ill be down there wenesday to do the deal. so last night i strip my bike down of all aftermarket stuff.. hard bags, new bars, sirius radio, seat, battery tender, powerlet, etc.. takes me a good 4 hours (after i got home at 3 am mind you) get done at 7 am get up at 9 am to be at pony at 10 the salesman i was working with yesterday pawns me off onto another guy, he looks my bike over, rides it, etc, then shoots me an offer $300 shy of what the other guy quoted i walk away.. then i say you know what .. if he comes up $200 im only loosing $100 from what i was quoted.. then shit ill do it. he gives me a big no, nothign i can do so i load the bike up and head home i stew a bit more and say fuck it ill loose $200 call him with another counter offer.. he declines yet again i said fuck it again ok ill just take your offer. since i dont have time today, can i jsut drop a deposit off of $1500 and do the rest of the deal on friday and then i get this.. "well the owner has a friend that is interested in the bike, so no i wont take a deposit" i say ok well i guess ill just take the day off work and go get the damn thing.. ok well ill jsut come buy it now no deposit ill just do the deal now well i dont know if the owner wants to sell it yet, he is waiting on his buddy to decide. :mad::mad: WTF Iron Pony way to jerk me around i still want the bike... but now its principal to not buy it.. atleast im not taking there low ball offer on my bike thats for sure. please someone explain how what they did is even remotely close to good business

i was joking lol well so far, still have the viffer, they didnt keep there end of the bargain up with the trade in price, so im kind of stuck between paying a few hundred more and getting the bike i want, or saying FU just for principal

rich? aaaaaaahaha yeah right used leathers, used helmet, looked for deals on boots, gloves, and back protector. track bike i came across a good deal and track days arent to expensive when they throw out those good deals.. but i planned since last year to do this, so i had been purchasing stuff as i went. i had my track bike end of last summer, and gear came over winter. its worth the money to me im a track day baller on a budget lol

to track days i have only done 4 days at the track and im hooked. its the most fun ive ever had on a bike, and if i wasnt into touring i wouldnt ride the street at all. nothing compares to riding at the track. the atmosphere, the speed, the feeling of dragging your knee in a turn, its just amazing.. and its alot safer than anything on the street, no cops, no traffic, nothing coming towards you, medical staff on hand. and you learn so much from just the experience, the control riders, and other riders there. so glad i got into track day riding.. :metal:

well i think if i dont sell it by tomorrow, im gonna strip it down to stock and trade it in..

me either but with doing track days, my want to carve corners on the street doesnt matter, im looking for something even more comfy for me and the wife

well i found a bike that better suits my needs. and i want to sell the VFR to pick it up. so.... 2003 VFR ABS model, also has the linked braking system 39,000 miles it has had the honda recall done brand new Michelin Pilot Road 2CT tires (1000 miles on them) custom paint (2010 euro spec paint) smoked out tail light and turn signals honda OEM hard saddlebags (i have a fender eliminator to mount the plate to if you decide not to use the hard bags) gutted pipes matching painted seat cowl krauser top case Sargent seat (have stock seat as well) heated grips LSL superbike handlebar kit (have stock bars as well) Zero gravity smoked windscreen DID VZM gold x ring chain (1700 miles old) EBC HH brake pads all around(1700 miles old) fresh oil change with mobil 1 full synthetic and mobil 1 filter ( i run a half inch longer filter for better filtration) oil changed every 3000 miles religiously) all maintenance done since i have had the bike, and i have all logged on microsoft excell valve check and adjustment done over the winter brakes done over the winter brake fluid and clutch fluid done over the winter coolant done over the winter new water pump over the winter new chain over the winter as everyone knows i try to keep the exterior looking as nice as possible! i did have a slight tip over in the driveway at my dads, and it has a scuff up by the right side turn signal, easy touch up that i havent done yet mechanically the bike is perfect IMO looking to get $5500 and relatively quick lol.. dont know how long the bike im looking at will last id selll for $5000 without the sargent seat, top case, and lsl bar kit

i had a blast as usual. and yes we did take over the middle of the paddock lol thanks for the great time! are we getting the discounted rate for august? i planned on going 14th-15th at putnam im sure some of the other guys are in as well. nice finally meeting you as well. cant wait to get back to the track, hoping to bump up to Intermediate next time

thanks to nick for the kick ass canopy spot, and letting me borrow his spare tire warmers.. the helmet fans kicked ass as well. all in all great weekend cant wait to do it again to everyone that went, that i havent met before good meeting you guys
