its bigger, smoother, better for touring, better for a passenger, better seating position its got bigger suspension for when we are loaded down with luggage for touring its just 20x the bike the vfr was. now that im doing track days i dont care about have a dual purpose bike for the street, i want a full touring bike!

i feel ya man i love the track days, but i also love doing 2 up touring with my wife, its somethign we can do together and get to see things we never saw. so i wanted something bigger and more comfortable to tour on. dont care about the handling so much for touring, although the FJR does handle pretty well for a big bike. and ill still be at the track days fo sho

update after seeing this thread and thanks to moose sticking his neck out i got a pm and a call yesterday as i was walking into work so i went back down today i worked with the original guy i talked to this time, kenny i believe he was very cool to deal with i test rode the bike, everything looked, worked, and sounded as it it should he worked with me on the trade in value on my bike and we made a deal and he even kicked in a $50 iron pony gift card on top of it. they made the situation right and im glad they did im happy with the FJR!

and not only is there a deposit on it, but there was a deposit on it yesterday, so they told me to come in even though it had a deposit already on it.. just doesnt make any sense

more great news.. now im told someone put a deposit on the bike.. the owners friend so they wouldnt let me put a deposit on it, but someone else can.. fucking bullshit the last thing said was... well check back in 2 days, if they dont buy it your more than welcome to come in and renegotiate great business ethics iron pony

funny thing is sales guy is supposedly supposed to call me back.. i told him the last time i talked to him that i was ready to pay there price and come get it, he said ill have to talk to the owner and see if he wants to sell it, ill call ya back.. im not holding my breath

id sell it cheaper than that the way it sits right now. with all the accessories off of it id take like $4200 or maybe less but i probably wont sell it now that "i cant buy" the fjr from pony.. per the owner

the other thing is, honestly i wasnt even looking to buy one.. but after i saw that bike, i wanted it. we are leaving for a week trip in less than 2 weeks and i didnt even think about buying anything now.. i was gonna get something next year, but like i said i just saw that thing, its set up how i wanted one to be and the price was right

haha why all the questions 03 FJR, corbin seats with backrest, OEM hard bags, and bar risers they were selling for $5400 OTD my trade in was supposed to be $3900 i was putting $1500 cash in with my trade and yeah that was about where i wanted to be at in the whole deal they ended up saying $3600 for my trade, but now they dont want to sell the fjr the only reason i was gonna let it go for that amount is because i was keeping all the luggage, bars, aftermarket seat and what not, and i could sell them and then i wouldnt feel like i was taking that big a hit

yeah i got low balled, but its expected at a dealer, but then to turn around and try to low ball me more, and then... not even want to sell me after i let them low ball the hell out of me
