  1. well i picked this bike up to be the wifes first bike. after looking it over and seeing what needed fixed i came out paying $100 for this thing. 86 Honda Interceptor VF500 well i had some thoughts in my head about making it a little better looking as well as handle and brake better. my friend has a ton of spare parts from a CBR f2, so i thought hmmm.. wonder if that front end would fit on the interceptor.. and it does.. phase one complete.. CBR f2 front end and front brake setup. i used all parts from the CBR, forks, lower and upper tripples, clip ons, brakes, calipers lines, rotors, wheel etc. etc. things that need done on the bike... 1.needs a new rack of carbs, these ones are junk, throttle plates messed up pretty bad, way out of wack and need all new gaskets and seals. 2. tank needs sanded down and some spots fixed and painted 3. petcock will be getting the free flow mod so it doenst work off vacum anymore.. these years have a ton of problems with the diaphram getting stuck and the bike nto getting any gas 4. oil change 5. new throttle and choke cables 6. chain and sprocket kit things i will be doing to improve the bike 1. CBR f2 rear wheel and brake conversion 2. CBR f2 rear shock conversion 3. solo race tail from??? whatever i can make fit and look good 4. Buell front headlight setup (the one with the 2 lights and little fairing piece) 5. some kind of custom rearsets... the stock ones are hideous and waaaaaaay outdated and unstable (really they shake) 6. custom dual highmount exhaust (should look and sound pretty nasty) 7. PAINT (not sure what color... but most likely black) 8. gold chain (keeping stock size, just want to bling it out some, especially since it needs a new chain anyway) hopefully i will be able to complete the bike over winter. i dont really foresee any problems, but the rear wheel setup will have to be sent out to be machined to fit, or so ive heard at any rate this should be a pretty neat project and the bike should turns some heads after its finished. im hoping to have less than $1000 in the whole project. i think the most expensive piece is gonna be the carbs.. rice paddy quoted me $250 for completely rebuilt carb set ready to bolt on. here are some pics i took with the cell phone tonight after getting the CBR front end on. i threw the tank side panel and seat on just so i could see what it will somewhat look like together somewhat.

august 28th - 30th leave friday morning come back sunday night i reserved a cabin that sleeps up to 6 at the Iron Horse www.ironhorsenc.com i have as of now me and 2 other people going for sure locked in. i will be wanting up to 6 people going. could be more im sure we could squeeze some people on the floor in sleeping bags anyways total for the weekend is $550 for the cabin so $91 plus tax per person for the entire weekend, if six go. so figure $100 like i said first 6 with cash up front lock there spot in the cabin, i have me and 2 others paid for. here is the link for the actual cabin down there i reserved. http://ironhorsenc.com/accommodations_fullcabins_homestead.html if your in, you can paypal me the cash or meet me somewhere and write me a check or cash. ill fill you in later on exact time we will be leaving friday as well as a good place to meet and leave from. as for food and what not, we will be stopping about 30 miles away from the cabin to pick up some food.. burgers, chips, hotdogs, etc since we have a full kitchen might as well make use of it. and also to stop and get some beer or whatever if you plan on boozing a little, since that county is dry you have to get your booze before hand and bring it with you.
  6. no problems on my viffer with my chatterbox..

  10. your pretty much my hero at this point. i want to do more trips, and ones like you have done!
  11. fuck everyone else ride what you like may it be a harley, honda, ducati whatever.. everyone ride what they like and everyone get along.. is that so fucking hard
  12. i love my viffer its the perfect all around bike. it is fast, handles extremely well, comfortable, ride 2 up nicely. as for not pulling in all gears... i think mine does. as stupid as it sounds, when vtec ingages its like a whole nother bike. under 7k its very timid, torquey, but timid... great for cruising. get above 7k and it will eat up pavement. i had an R6 before this bike, and i feel much more confident on the viffer than my r6. power range is more broad, feels more confident in the turns, just a better bike FOR ME. i love hitting the twisties with the viffer. but yeah like floydzboyz said.. 02 up are identical.. except some have abs and some dont. i personally like my abs model.. but the non abs models can be had cheaper i do like the 98-02 VFRs as well. love that gear driven cams they make just a smidge more power than the 02 up models as well
  13. rain? what rain? i didnt think it was that rainy out today
  14. i want the bike mount.. how much?
  15. i wasnt taking it as rude lol.. hopefully my reply didnt come across that way. i have no extra lighting... i never use the flash, and i try to do some post processing to aid the pictures. i have no training in photography, never read anythign about it either lol... its been a trial and error thing. i was very pleased of how the bridge pics came out.. i chose that location, just because of the lighting. it was bright enough, but not overpowering, and great angles of the light. if you wanna critique please do i love any advice i can get. just send it via PM thanks!
  16. thanks, im no professional like you. i worked with the lighting i had in that bridge, the other spot the pics didnt come out as clear, i salvage what i could. by the way, i checked your photo out.. they are amazing!
  17. negative.. i rode wherever whenever.. probably stupid, but never got in any trouble for it

  19. lance (ol springer) gave me the chance to clean his bike up today.. and then i even got a chance to snap some photos.. here are the best ones i think i got tonight. they came out pretty well, and i ran most of them through photoshop to enhance the picture some, to bring out the colors and really highlight the bike. i really love this bike, very custom and cool little shadow. and my favorite pic
