  6. had an idea pop in my head last night. who would be up for a winter meet in greet? that documentary "why we ride" will be released on DVD shortly (or so says the website) and if someone has a projector and screen they would be willing to bring out, i will host a meet and great in my Heated 30x48 Pole barn. we could have some sort of pot luck type situation for the food, bring whatever drinks you'd like. (I'm trying to get some 190 ever clear so i can make apple pie) we can watch the movie, hang out, good food, good people.. who's down? date would be depending on when the DVD gets released. ill be ordering one as soon as they are for sale.

  10. for comparison 2012 Honda Shadow 750 spirit Power: 44.87HP (33 kW) @ 5500 rpm. Torque: 63 Nm (46.47 lb-ft) @ 3000 rpm. seems like harley is right on par
  11. you also can't really compare an inline motor to twin
  12. lol Yamaha still makes air cooled twins in cruisers that make more HP and TQ
  13. As the title states. Just put a big furnace in my pole barn, so this goes. Works perfectly, has a blower. $75 obo
  14. honda is finally understanding people want track ready bikes! For the ultimate in performance, the CBR1000RR SP features fully adjustable Öhlins front and rear suspension, plus Brembo front brakes and Pirelli Diablo Supercorsa SC premium tires. A special lightweight subframe lowers the center of gravity and a new-design rear single-seat cowl also shaves weight. Add additional power and torque via a new cylinder head, intake tract and exhaust system, along with high-performance engine parts including pistons and connecting rods hand-selected to match weight and balance for quality and performance. The riding position is now more track-oriented, a bubble windscreen creates a larger still-air pocket for the rider, and a special tri-color paint scheme all help to create a finely honed instrument that brings the CBR1000RR's performance to a whole new level. Color: White/Red/Blue; Price: TBD; Availability: February 2014 http://rideapart.com/2013/11/2014-honda-cbr1000rr-sp-photos/

  16. FUUUUUCCCKKK... now i gotta buy the new model... damn.. seems like the RF1100 just came out
  17. mine was a 48L it would fit 2 full face helmets.
  18. what i was told.. they cannot match online pricing of stores like motorcycle superstore, or revzilla, or even match their own online pricing because they have to pay their staff, and operating costs. Its called overhead. which i completely understand for the most part. I know the markup in products on a small scale, and the larger quantity you buy the bigger the profit margin. with that said, there is also a MAP pricing policy they have to obide by. which since they sell EVERYTHING at MSRP, they are for sure doing. but MAP pricing and MSRP are 2 different things... MAP 5%-10% below MSRP... hence why you see much better deals online. Tires on the other hand have no MAP Pricing policy.. so the game there (for online retailers) is how cheap can you go and still make a buck. Pony should match online pricing on tires, that would give buyers an incentive to get the install done at there facility. you may not make a ton off the tires, but your gonna make your money in service. Otherwise your customers will buy online and get them installed elsewhere. (thats where i come in ) Iron Pony can only do so much. they can't give things away, they have staff to pay, building and utilities to pay for, and they still need to make money. You don't become successful giving things away, but you also don't get successful driving your customers away for one reason or another. its a balancing act. to be honest, if none of us on this forum shopped there it would hurt their bottom line. and i would say 80% of the people on here shop online, its easy to make a call to nate at RidersDiscount, get awesome pricing with no tax over the phone, and have your package sitting on your porch in 2 days. i do shop at Iron Pony though, mostly things i need to see or touch to make sure thats what i want, or things i need in a hurry. but a lot of things i want, they don't carry the brands that i like. I was so pumped when they started carrying Dainese, and now they don't. also a lot of Bike specific things they still have to order.. unless you ride a common bike like a GSXR or something.
  19. ive never paid prep, freight, or setup on ANY new bike anywhere. thats a given when buying a new machine to not pay for that BS.
