Nope there is nothing on the wire that has a thread. The thread inside of the plug boot is tapered. So it's just threading into the wire/rubber on the plug wire. It just creates a secure connection between the two so it can't be pulled apart, as easily, or come apart while riding.

Here That's close, it's not overly exciting, but it keeps ya off 70. It's still got quite a bit of straight flat road on 40 and 42...

US42 is a decent alternative. Depending upon where you wanna go in Cbus you may want to take 40 into Grove city from 42 in London. How much longer do you want to make your ride?

Don't throw in the towel yet, it's still sunny. Radar is completely clear.

I didn't explain well. The plug boot has a threaded portion to the wire. Pull the plug boot off the plug and then screw it onto the wire. If the wire came out of the boot, chances are it wasn't screwed on very well.

plug boots are screw on. It'd be best to pull it back off and turn it back on 4-5 turns to make sure it's solid. Other than that, doesn't sound like much of an issue.

Hopefully the humidity doesn't bring rain this evening... Just FYI I suggest everyone checks this right before departure, I will not be there if it's gonna rain. I don't wanna clean my bike.

I'll dismount/remount and balance, but I won't put the plug in. If you want to hang around and I'll go take a pee while you plug it without my knowledge, that's your thing. I don't have patch plugs so you'd wanna find one of them too.

How fast do you go? How hard to you corner? Popular opinion is no, but plugs work well...I put a plug in a tire once and rode it until I have the green to buy a new one. I just didn't ride as hard or go as fast.

I think we'll shoot for about 7:00. Depending on the loop maybe earlier. It's hard to estimate.
