  1. I should point out that the carbon build up on the intake valves is not unique to EB engines. This will happen with any direct injected engine. I'm not a fan of anything GM but that's more to due with how they can't run their business (just like Chrysler). My EB's have been great as long as you know how to take care of them.
  2. I have a '13 F150 EB as well as a '13 SHO EB. First things...DO NOT run Seafoam in your truck! Injector cleaner will do little to help you either. Remember these motors are direct injected. Second...the Escape EB is not the same so comparing it to the F150 for problems is well....stupid. Now on to trying to figure out your issue. If the engine light came on then there's a very good chance it threw a code and you need to get that pulled before trying to even begin speculating on what the issue could be. I've never had any issues with our F150 at all. My SHO though I've had do what you have experienced but I'm running performance tunes on both the car and the truck. I did not find any codes when my car acted like this. The computer saw something it didn't like and basically put it into limp mode as soon as I let off the throttle making a pass on another car. When it does this it basically will not let the car build any kind of boost thus the power loss. You probably heard the blow offs just venting constantly even when you tried to give it more throttle. So...stop by any auto parts store and have them pull any codes you have. If you have an ODB tool pull them yourself. Report back and we can find out what they mean and go from there. One common issue is carbon buildup on the valves on the intake side. Carbon build up is due to the way the PCV system is on the EB motors allowing excessive oil to be pulled back into the intake tract. The only two solutions is to do the VTA mod or buy a catch can with a clean side separator to prevent this but either could void your warranty for some absurd excuse by Ford. I have the VTA mod done on the car so I simply hook them back up when I take it in for service so they don't throw a fit. This is why injector cleaners won't help again...there is no fuel showering the intake valves to clean off the deposits. I highly doubt this is your issue but I'm sure it has some build up with 80k+ miles. Another common issue is spark plug related...I believe Ford changed the spark gap from earlier production years to later ones. Either way you need to be changing out the plugs on the EB motors more often than recommended. They say 100k miles I believe but you should be changing them much more often. I've changed out the plugs on both truck and car once already and they both only had about 40K miles at that time.
  3. Fuck off, with all due respect and shit.
  4. How do you know that's who it is? And so what if I do...I like Ferrari cars.
  5. My question is... Who is Brian Ross?
  6. Well...I hope the new owner(s) didn't pay much more than the $435k appraised value of the place. I'll be checking to see who buys it just because I'm curious now.
  7. I can COMPLETELY agree with this. The term "career politician" should never need spoken again.
  8. On the OP...hell no...oh hell no. ^^^^THIS ^^^^THIS ^^^^THIS ^^^^THIS ^^^^THIS ^^^^THIS ^^^^THIS ^^^^THIS The system has been fucked for decades, IMO. If you want to effect real change, drop the retard party bullshit and if you've held a seat in congress for more than 10 years it needs a fresh ass put in it, period. These older than dirt fucks need to move on and enjoy their retirement years instead of continuing to be leeches.

    New tat

You win. I'm silly. Thanks for the help. I was having a dyslexic moment.

    New tat

Sssoooo...the post is either just about a funny tat, the fact that the tat is backwards or both. Either way...a little amusing.
  11. It's just that....a rumor. Brandon posted up on the MS forum and Todd replied to his question. Nothing is going on with track and it's business as usual for Todd and his plans with it.
  12. Been talked about for years and no action taken. I would love to see them go. PoePoe say then need it...not buying it personally. Dumping them would mean LOTS of money saved by the state. Don't expect that petition to do much anytime soon.
  13. Oh shit...OR is in for a real treat now!
  14. The EPA peeps are reasonable. Just work out a multi-year deal to remove the tires so you don't have to eat the cost all at once.
  15. My '01 GSXR1000 was one of the best liter bikes I've ever had. It was not short on anything at all. I'd almost prefer it over my '07 GSXR1000.
  16. Sounds exactly like every single media outlet in this country today.
  17. Def. an eye opening short video. I certainly will not argue any points brought up within it.
  18. You do realize that your One will be able to play the 360 games at some point soon, right?
  19. IMO...you'll have more confidence, learn faster and more on a newer bike. When you're questionable equipment isn't sitting in the back of your head you'll be able to concentrate on your riding instead of about what the bike can/can't do. A newer bike will provide you with a lot more room to find your comfort zone and then proceed with extending it. I'd suggest you look for something like Ryan pointed out and pick something up. Keep in mind that when you buy a track/race bike you should be able to recoup most (if not all) of your money if you decide to sell it later.
  20. I personally gave up on Deltran tenders after I had 3 die in consecutive years after using them for maybe a couple years. I've since started using BatteryMinder 1510's as they have the added benefit of desulfation and you can connect up to 4 batteries to a single BatteryMinder. I have also used these to bring back two "dead" batteries, one for my TH and the other for a friends dirty bike. They do cost more but with a 10 year warranty I have the piece of mind that if one does happen to die I'll get a new one no questions asked. Just my $.02 though.
  21. The average January temps in say Atlanta, GA are 33 for the low and 52 for the high. I suggest you plan accordingly for your stay even thought it'll be "January in Georgia".
  22. Those are some stout numbers for sure and I'm sure Brian put a safe tune on it for drive-ability and reliability. I like the grill delete but with that big shiny intercooler it looks like the thing has buck teeth. If on the other hand you were to say get it anodized or coated black (without interfering greatly with it's ability to cool the air charge of course) then it would blend in and look much better to me. Regardless, it's what you like and that's all that matters but it's definitely sex on wheels if you ask me.
  23. Go talk to your local Amish...
