  1. Here's a link to the service manual: HP DV5000 Service Manual

They also provide the part numbers for most of the components. It would take a little work but if you can turn a screw driver you could most likely do it yourself.

Update: Ebay has the fan assembly for $10-$45. Pick up some thermal paste for a couple bucks and you're good to go.

  2. That's good Cleave...hopefully the snow will melt quickly because I have a strange feeling that instead of snow angels you'll be making other body parts instead.

By the way how are the meds working? Any more subconsciously manifested body parts showing up?

  3. Man...sorry to hear about the tumble. I know you don't want a finger checked out, but I can tell you what I thought was an innocently jammed pinky 10 years ago in a pickup football game enxded up being a broken carpal bone that still bothers me today. It hampers my already shitty guitar playing.

Advil up for your track day, and hope you heal up quick!

I call BS! It was either a flag football game with a bunch of 6 yr. olds or you were spankin' da pud. :nono:

  4. ....So, I don't know. I really don't need more than a 10 (the Busa held my interest for a lil bit..but there are already too many of those running around and I like to slowly find my way through the corners).

I fixed up your post for you! :D:D:D

And welcome to world of "after wreck pains". I got them days after getting rear ended after dead mans curve in cleveland years ago. Literally took a more than a month to get back to normal.

  5. OK....the SPS (Special Purpose Synthetic) was new in 2005. It could be had in .300WM, .300WSM, or .300RUM variations (along with many others). There are three versions of the 700 SPS, 700 SPS DM (Detatchable Mag.), and 700 SPS Stainless. Although there isn't a .300WSM in the SPS DM. SO....here's the break down, 700 SPS - MSRP $532, 100% condition - $435, 98% - $390, 95% - $365, 90% - $325, 80% - $290. 700 SPS DM - MSRP $559 - 100% - $450, 98% - $400, 95% - $365, 90% - $330, 80% - 295. 700 SPS Stainless - MSRP $625 - 100% - $495, 98% - $435, 95% - $395, 90% - $325, 80% - $275.

Of course these are the prices for the gun itself and not anything added such as optics, slings, bipods, etc. So those things must be taken into account seperately and then add to the pricing above. Hope that helps.

PS.....I'll stick with my Savage model 12BVSS in .243 w/ an Accutrigger, 6-18 X 50 Bushnell Dusk to Dawn, and bipod. Not something you want to lug around as it is HEAVY but 300 yard shots are pretty easy.
