I'm a bit closer in Sheffield Lake. My bike is on my stands but I could take it down long enough for you to get your stuff done. The rear is setup for spools, but I do have the swing arm blocks some place and the front is no problem.

All of the boots you have showed will offer some protection, but not the best. Unfortunately, the best foot protection is full height protection. I will sacrifice a little comfort for the best protection. DO NOT SKIMP ON THE GEAR! It's the only thing you can rely upon if something were to happen.
You really need to quit thinking of it like “race” and “street” boots. They are all just boots with varying levels of protection…the taller the boot the more protection it should provide. Boots should offer good toe, ankle, and shin protection. I personally prefer Sidi boots.
And if you want a good example send a PM to Inyazz. He had on a set of boots very similar to the style you’re looking at and he wound up with a not so pleasant 6-8” scar on his shin which more than likely could have been avoided.
Take it for what it’s worth, but if those are the boots you are dead set on as your selection I’d say the best pair there are any of the ‘uncomfortable’ ones. And of those the Joe Rockets would be your best bet as they offer at least some shin protection. All of the ‘comfortable’ ones are nothing more than high top sneakers and will offer you little in the way of real ankle protection. Anything which will keep your foot from getting pulled down and back thusly breaking your foot at the ankle or tearing your tendons is what you want. These will typically have some sort of hard plastic armor which will also help in the event of a ‘run over’. Sidi’s are one of the best IMO with their designs.

I know for certain there are quite a few 'northerners' that would like to participate in this but being it's the first week of April it's still very early in the season and thusly a bit cold for us to ride down. I understand you have dates to start other projects. But given enough time to setup the date, could something a bit later done? It could potentially get more people there.

Sold. What sold? I can get and normal glock new for 398 at vances. If yours has night sights it's 15 dollars less than a new glock with night sights cost.
Don't know where you're getting those figures from but here's what the BBoGV says:
MSRP $599, Conditions: 100% - $475, 98%, $425, 95% - $395, 90% - $365, 80% - $335, 70% - $295, and 60% - $250.
Now throw in the following on top if so equip'd: $18 for adj. rear sight, $22 for steel sight, $47 for night sight, $80 for fixed Meprolight sight, $105 for fixed Trijacon sight, $22 for compensated barrel (23C), and $145 for competition model w/ adj. sights (23CC)
So he was on the high side for his gun, but this does not take into account the current economic forces pushing prices up slightly. Are there better deals around, sure maybe.

Dachshund's tend to bond closely with owners. New kids are sometimes seen as a threat to them, but with the right training and patients the would become accepting of kids. We have one and whenever we have company he's on edge for a while, but once the kids start playing ball with him he's in heaven.

You should NOT shoot to wound. Placement is important, but shooting them in the arm to 'make them drop a weapon' or shooting them in the leg to 'keep them from running at me'...all stupid advice IMO. If you're going to pull the trigger you intend to completely STOP the threat, not piss them off. Two in the chest and one in the head, threat terminated.
