I think someone else gets what I'm sayin'.

It does work. But you keep on thinking it doesn't and do your thing and I'll do mine. Let me rephrase that. I does work because it's better than nothing but feel free to continue doing nothing if you like.

The best way to be seen...high beams during the day. I know it pisses people off but if it means they see me then it means they won't be doing something like this lady did.
-
FYI...4 day RV/Tow behind camping permit is only $150. *cough cough* Just sayin'.

Also get your seats as high up the stands as possible for the best viewing.

Go...it's one of the bucket list things you have to do. Hotels are probably already booked up close to the track so you'll have to drive a little farther to get to the track usually. We sat in the infield during the infamous hurricane GP that knocked over rows of stupid Ducati bikes. Check the weather and plan your clothing accordingly. It appears they don't have the seats we had when we went in turns 6 thru 9. My alternate was to sit in any of the Vista seats mainly at the end of the front straight.

If I were you I'd simply take a flash drive down there, set it on the counter and tell him to go put your map on it or give you a refund for the tuning. He has no proof that he did anything or he'd be handing you a tune file. No one and I mean no one is so ignorant about computers today to say they can't copy something to a flash drive unless they're like 70 years old.

They do make them look good. In my case, the first bike I bought I looked over really good the second time I went back to buy it and found that those ass clowns tried to "fix" the fairing stay. When I looked at it in more detail they actually took the front of the bike apart removing the forks, upper triple and fairing stay. They did some of the most horrific weld job on the fairing stay like a 3rd grader with a crayon, painted it black and put it back on. It was all sorts of fucked up. But I knew that going in and beat them down on the price. After all I was just going to turn this into my new race bike anyway.

I purchased one bike early last year and attempted to purchase another just weeks ago. I would say to just stay away from them, period. My first purchase I had to haggle with them to get the price to something reasonable after inspecting the bike and then when I got it home and started stripping to prep it for my new race bike it looked like they tried to hide some messed up stuff. You buy as is so if you decide to buy from them you better look over whatever it is very very carefully and then hit them with the facts to drop the price. My second attempt at a purchase was even worse as they would not budge on the price at all. And I was only asking them to drop it $125 (from $1800 to $1675)...so they let me walk over $125. The owners are simply money hungry and their prices are above the market averages. I'll give you an example...a guy was in the store with a brand new tire he bought but was the wrong size. He paid I think it was like $160 for it. The owner (via a phone call with one of the snippy girls working the counter) offered the guy $50 for it. Hell...they want more for half worn out tires on their racks! I get it's a business but they only care about your money.

Careful with the dish soaps and kitchen cleaners. If you've spent any real time detailing and then waxing your bike, using dish soaps will strip the wax off. Just stick with products that are formulated for washing autos/bikes and use whatever works best for you. Personally...Bike Bright for the wash and some S100 afterwards.

I'm a WD guy when it comes to cleaning the chain. I've always used only Maxima Chain Wax also. I had a stock chain on my '90s ZX7 last for over 33k miles using the WD clean and Wax method...no lie. Just do as everyone has already said...clean, ride to warm up the chain, apply protectant/lube and leave it be overnight if possible.

This might be true if you have the space to put them 25 ft away with an extension cord. But when you have 3 or 4 guys all parked next to each other at a track all running 3500/4000 Champion gennies, you will have a hard time hearing calls and such. I know this for a fact...just sayin'. They're not crazy loud but they certainly aren't quiet especially when they gang up with one another at the track...alone they can be tolerable. I personally bought a Yamaha 6300ise and fucking love the thing. It's not as quiet as say a 3000is but my needs were different as I have to power up a toy hauler and it doubles as a home backup genny. Funny story...was at a PIRC race weekend last year and Don was pitted right next to us with some obnoxious little 1000 genny. After one night of hearing it run I told him to not fire that fucker up again and just plug into mine. IMO...buy the best you can afford but buy appropriately based on your use. I like my champion 3500/4000 but I love my Yamaha 6300ise.

It would have to be a wife + cash deal to probably even be considered.

I don't believe so Todd. I'm pretty sure the rotor dia. are different for one but there are probably other things as well. I think you'll need to stick with '06 thru '09 for wheels.

FYI...since you're providing a service (assuming this is for your detailing business) the state has some weird shit about what's taxable and what isn't. In most cases your actual service isn't taxable but the products you might use during that time might be. I think there's a basic guide that outlines what's taxable and what isn't. Example...computer repair services...not taxable (as I understand it) but any parts you install during that service...taxable. Or something like network cable installation...ALL taxable...service and material. The rules are not simply cut and dry so. Like I said previously...it's easy to just make a call and get the answer right from the taxation offices.

I'm still running a triple channel MB...but I already have 24GBs so... Bump for some good mem!

I believe you still need to get your vendors license and pay any taxes you've collected via the http://www.business.ohio.gov/ site. In the end I think your CPA is going to show on your additional schedule that you've paid the taxes is all. If in doubt, just call the ohio taxation office and ask them. I'm sure they'd be able to tell you exactly what you need and then there's no guessing.

HA! I was far from crushing anything. There's plenty of fast guys than me on these boards. Next time we go out I'll lay some understanding on ya and throw you some pointers. LOL!
-
Thanks, Bob! It was certainly good to get out with you and take a spin. You'll get used to the bike, it's just seat time that's needed but you'll get there. I certainly wasn't really pushing things even though it might have seemed that way. LOL!

I gave up on the Deltran brand charger/maintainer (i.e. Tender Jr.). I picked up a couple 1510 BatterMINDer's which are a bit more expensive but not only do they charge and maintain they will also desuflate batteries and bring them back to good health. Most batteries go bad because of sulfation and if they've not gotten too bad they can be revived and recover completely. Another nice feature is that you can hook up multiple batteries to a single BatteryMINDer so you don't need to by a bunch of them if you have lots of batteries to maintain and store.

So it's going to be like that...

So we're not going to Mid-O now?

I have a Toro zturn which I purchased mid last year. So far it's made mowing a pleasure now compared to the old rider we had and it's cut the mowing time by at least a 1/3. I need to give it a good cleaning since I finally got it out this past weekend to get started with the weekly lawn routine.
-
I wound up getting the mower out on Sunday after charging the battery Friday and Saturday to make sure it was ready to go this season. I also pulled the forks off the new race bike with the hopes I'll be able to send them off to get new seals, springs and proper valving soon. I did manage to take a late afternoon ride across Tri County to 247 south to 125 east to 136 north back to the house. Just to shake out the cobwebs. Was nice getting back on the bike again and I have a bit more maintenance to do on the old girl. Seals a still leaking just a tad and she needs a new chain possibly. I'll have to give her a good cleaning and see what else she might require since her long slumber. I'm glad I mowed on Sunday also because the landscapers showed up to do their spring maintenance/clean up.

Damn it, Ben. I wish I had a stronger background in SQL...looks like just the kind of job I'm looking for as far as benefits go.
