  1. John, when is the event you plan on running? Depending on timing I could lend you mine for a weekend. I've been meaning to put a new t-stat in it along with a flush and refill anyway.
  2. I agree with it being a tear. Just need to know what pressures he started with and adjust accordingly. Those look like Q2's so I think I recall the cold pressures are like 30f/29-30r but someone with more time on them could chime in.
  3. Okay...I'm back in business! Tore into the top end with John (Turbo810) and Steve. Immediately after taking the airbox off the issue was evident. The fucking pair mod crossover tube had completely worked it's way off. I would have never imagined in a million years that those two little holes in the valve cover would have let that much noise out. So on went the tube with a couple screw type hose clamps thanks to Steve instead of the two shitty spring type clamps. So just a little clutch adjusting and I'm going to ride that beotch. Still on the fence on going to Nelsons so I can save up for Putnam but I'll make a decision later this week after I get some other bills paid. I'm so glad it wasn't as bad as I was imagining it to be. Thanks John and Steve!
  4. Well, I need to do something. Either start wrenching on it or rob several stores. I'd just as soon drop it out and replace it but that takes coin. Tearing it down will only tell me that I need to put money into it but just how much is the real question. Anything more than $3-400 and I might as well just buy a used motor and slowly fix the bad one and keep it as a spare.
  5. If I could guarantee that I could ride it until it "kersplodes" AND it not do something painful to me in the process I would do it. I'm going to pull the clutch cover as well as the cam cover and see if there's anything blatantly wrong.

  7. Well after Mid-O something doesn't sound right on the top end of the motor. So I changed the oil yesterday and it didn't look good. Pretty metallicy actually. New oil went in but the top end is still very loud. I'm starting to think it might be cam bearings. On top of all that, the trans is now acting weird. With the bike on the stand and in neutral you can barely rotate the wheel. Start the bike, drop it into first with the clutch pulled in and it's like it's fully engaged. I adjusted the cable both at the motor and at the lever but you can't even stop the rear wheel. So I think I'm just going to call my season done until I can find/afford another motor.

  10. Check on NESBA, WERA, etc. There's trailers for sale on there from time to time but they might be a little bigger than what your looking for.

  21. Oh yeah. I forgot. You don't have two bikes that are track worthy. With all the time you've spent messin' around with the '03 you could have prep'd and made ready the '08. You have no excuses that fly with me to keep you from going to some track event on Monday.
