  1. Clay, as much as I still have love for the rotary...if you want a cheap car that handles great, has a usable back seat, is a blast to drive, has a great sounding motor, and gets decent mileage you really need to look at an e36 M3.
  2. Any idea of pay rates? Do you need any dynamic (VB) work done in the sheet?
  3. Looks good Patrick. Increases my desire for a wagon for sure
  4. Porsche-ah as its been said. Also, RUF = Roof
  5. Like Andy, I've always had my car purchases planned out pretty far ahead of time, so I tend to keep them for quite a while. Also, while I love cars, I've grown to hate car payments so that keeps my field of possible purchases pretty low. As my family grows my M3 will eventually go away and I'll get a more suitable daily. I'd like to keep my FD forever, but we all know that sometimes life priorities change and get in the way. As for now, I'm going to enjoy it while I've got it and not worry about much else. I do know that in the future at some point I want a Model-A roadster which I would also keep for quite some time once I get it.
  6. At the hospital waiting for my new baby boy so I thought I'd wear his future watch. http://i193.photobucket.com/albums/z56/kutschca/eff58b0a.jpg Sporting the new hotness Strap Culture strap I got for it. http://i193.photobucket.com/albums/z56/kutschca/bfb330ca.jpg
  7. I'm really impressed by the weight figures for this car. I hope they stay true through to the production car. What kind of tires will you be able to put under it? That thing would be a track terror if you could get at least 255s under each corner and have it down to 2500-ish lbs without giving up streetability. FWIW, when the e36 M3 came out it was 240hp and around 3000lbs and widely regarded as THE sportscar of its time. My friend has a track ready e36 M3 that weighs about 2700lbs with a stock motor and I can say that it's an absolute rip to drive. When it comes to my M3, I'd probably give up the 40hp for the 400lbs difference if I had the option.
  8. 26MM huh? If only you knew someone with a sweet Radiomir that you could give that to!:megusta: BTW, I have a pre-v style 26mm buckle we can put on there if you want to try it out.
  9. just don't do black. it'll make the wheels look like dirty poop water.
  10. Smoke that Padron anniversary last! If you have it up front it'll ruin all of the other cigars for you. You'll always say "yeah, but it's not as good as that Padron..." Seems like you've really jumped in, so I'd say, grab some drinks and enjoy. Perhaps I'll see you up at Governor's Smoke Shop sometime.
  11. I have to admit, it took longer for that to appear in this thread than I expected. Dave, you should definitely be running some water injection no matter how high you go with your boost.

    WTB: BOV

I've got an uncrushed 1g DSM bov that should work just fine. $30 and it's yours.
  13. Good to hear. What turbo did you end up using?
  14. Here are the cars: Traxxas 2wd Dirt car. Don't know the model number. Has electronics in it. http://i193.photobucket.com/albums/z56/kutschca/For%20Sale/P1010318.jpg no-name asphalt car. Cool design and I remember it being fast because it's so light, but not really any suspension travel so don't try to hit any bumps. http://i193.photobucket.com/albums/z56/kutschca/For%20Sale/P1010319.jpg Here's the tackle-box of parts including many different gears for the motors. http://i193.photobucket.com/albums/z56/kutschca/For%20Sale/P1010321.jpg Here you can see some of the motors. There's also one in each of the cars currently. http://i193.photobucket.com/albums/z56/kutschca/For%20Sale/P1010322.jpg This motor is all alone on its own. It doesn't have any electrical leads on it so I'm not sure if it works or if I just didn't use it much. I remember it being expensive. http://i193.photobucket.com/albums/z56/kutschca/For%20Sale/P1010323.jpg Sweet ass old charger http://i193.photobucket.com/albums/z56/kutschca/For%20Sale/P1010320.jpg pile of batteries that likely don't work. http://i193.photobucket.com/albums/z56/kutschca/For%20Sale/P1010324.jpg There's also a HI-Tec controller, but the bummer is that I can't find the battery pack for it.
  15. I'll try to get some pics up later. I was thinking of all of the stuff that the motors were likely worth the most.
  16. Thanks Patrick. Stupid autocorrect got me on that one and I missed it.
  17. Doing some house cleaning. I have a bunch of old electric RC car stuff from the late 80s-early 90s. Is this stuff worth anything? Would someone/someplace want it? I haven't messed with it in years so nothing runs currently. I have two 2wd chassis. One dirt one asphalt. Some battery packs, a charger, and a bunch of expensive old electric motors.
  18. I haven't laughed out loud that much in a while!
  19. Gabe, not sure how many times it can be said in this thread...buy the French Oak. You will not be sorry.
  20. I've purchased and drank a bottle of The Balvenie 12yr Doublewood and 15yr Single Barrel. I've also Had a pour of the Balvenie 21yr. All were great and I would recommend to anyone. For the good of the thread I recently picked up a bottle of The Glenrothes Select Reserve and I enjoy it.
  21. I have them in my wife's car and they're great. Hell, last year I left them in the whole year. Make sure you get the floor LINERS not just the mats. the liners fit very well to the sides of the footwell, and have the rubber that comes up a few inches around the sides so it holds all of the stuff in there while you're driving around.
  22. 3 of my friends have all had large pieces of work done by D Willy at Sweet Baby Octane. All look great and are very happy with the work. I sat in on one session for my friends 1/4 sleeve and was really impressed with the work done. If I ever sack up and get one done, that's where I'll go.
  23. hahaha. I was waiting for Bob to jump on the Air King. I actually like the Air King, it's got a classic design and still a bit different than the regular Datejust or Submariner that you see most go for. Despite the hate, it's still got a rolex movement and will last forever. As for the woot deal, it's better than a fossil for the money.
  24. I had Andy help me do this to my wife's TL as he mentioned. The car is never garaged and a daily for her. I've been very happy with the way that the coating has held up and makes cleaning the car easier. I was worried about salt eating the coating up, but it hasn't seemed to slow it down at all. I do run her car through touch-less car washes during the winter as I don't have the facility to be able to hand wash her car when it's this cold and nasty. Last winter, when we'd run it through the wash it would not completely remove the salt and muck from the car, but clean most of it off. This year with the coating on it is definitely cleaning the car much better when going through the washes. I'll try to get some before-after photos.
  25. I don't think it should be too hard if you've ever done clear-bra or the like. But I see the front and rear bumpers on the FD being HELL to do without problems.
