Clay, there's a kid who's brought out a mid-60s Caddy 2 door convertible to cars and coffee in Reynoldsburg. It's the perfect cruising car and I think he found it for under $5K.

Wife's 30th birthday is this weekend, so if I go up there and ditch the party I'm hosting for her, none of you would ever hear from me again. Andy and I are going in the end of August with PCA.

He certainly will be missed. I used to love it when I'd go to a show that he brought to town and he'd stand by the exits and take the time to thank every person he could for coming out. He truly loved this town and loved bringing good music here.

iPhone users want tethering without being jailbroken?
Smokey replied to justinwebb's topic in Dumpster
I downloaded it while it was out there. Worth having it for a buck. I haven't had the time to try it out yet though. Color me stupid here, but does tethering run the phone hard enough to be able to cause damage? I breezed thru that thread and a bunch of people said that their phones got hot while tethering. -
Updates to the M3 - Some will love, most will hate

Honestly, I haven't looked into it much at all. I just need to find the time to mess with it. -

Well, I tried the amber-lamps experiment this weekend, and some of you will be happy to know it's a no-go! I love the way the amber looks on white, but it just doesn't work with the gold. I guess I'll have to find some bulbs for the clears that don't drive me nuts. -
nice numbers. I certainly do not want any in my M3. Sounds great, I'm interested to hear (pun intended) what you end up doing with the rest of the exhaust.

that movie was camping...IN-TENTS! Loved the movie, my wife was a bit less enthused, so it's not for everyone. I've loved just about every movie that Christopher Nolan has done though so that could make me biased.

http://www.cd101.com/andyman/ Major bogey! He was by far my favorite dee jay and a great all around guy. He also always put up with me pretty well considering that 95% of the time I saw him around I was drunk at a show.

sounds good. What'd it make?

I still have the stock Amber lamps, so it's not like it's going to be a big trouble if I hate them to go back to the clears. I'm just tired of the clears never looking actually clear. I can never get a bulb that's supposed to be clear and light up orange to actually stay that way, they all eventually turn blue or orange which looks like crap. For the record...I'm NOT raising the rear! Remember that the fenders are cut differently front to back, so if you look at the rocker you can see that the rear is still higher than the front. If anything, I'm dropping the front more, but would like to leave it as-is cause i'm lazy. -
Welcome. Nice to see more proper track people make it here.

any particular reason for the AWD? I've been car shopping for my wife lately and there are a lot of good cars/deals out there for FWD cars which will do perfectly fine in the winter with the proper tires.

I would LOVE to see that...rock that crap out! Thanks for the compliments guys. The response is better than I had anticipated...most people told me I was crazy when I said I was going gold on the wheels. I'll get some better pics up when I get a chance to clean her up and put the amber lamps back on. -

when I take it to the track it actually goes about another 1/2" lower! Minor rubbing over big bumps, but nothing crazy. I've actually been arguing with my brother about dropping the front more. -
Well, I got the biggest change on last night, which is the one that'll cause the most controversy. I painted the lower front grille black and added the front splitters. Those two mods have been long overdue. I'm still going to go back to amber corner lamps in the front too, I've just been lazy on that one. Please don't mind the dirty car, it's been raining. As for the final change, I've talked about it for a long time, but finally sacked up and did it....I love GGGOOOOOOOOOOLLLLLDDD! http://i136.photobucket.com/albums/q192/ZainoDetail/111.jpg http://i136.photobucket.com/albums/q192/ZainoDetail/118.jpg http://i136.photobucket.com/albums/q192/ZainoDetail/126.jpg

Nice car, and nice intro. Welcome to the site.

Sucks to see. As a Yankees fan he did many great things for the team I love.

My wife and I have beat the piss out of her Mazda6 ever since she bought it new in 03. Currently 130K miles and still kicking. I had to replace a hose for the PVC valve that you had to take off the intake manifold to replace. It was a pain, but doable. The biggest issue that i've had is that the rear brakes seem to destroy themselves pretty commonly on the 6s. Our 6 has some rust issues (big chips on the hood) and the rear fender well is rusting. I don't blame our fender on Mazda though as it looks like at some point during one of the winters a big chunk of snow/ice caught the fender lip and broke the paint and then the rust went from there. I'd say a preventative fender roll would take care of that. Our car is a 4cyl/auto and it regularly gets 23-ish MPG with mixed city/highway in her normal use and will do high 20s to low 30s on longer highway stints. I'd say that your biggest hitch is going to be that $6K will likely only buy you a higher mileage 6, but depending on how you want to use it that might not matter. We've been passively looking for a replacement for ours and we keep coming back to possibly just buying a newer version of the same car.

Welcome Rich. Glad to see you made it over.

Congrats Tim, glad you were able to find a good dog to rescue. Looks like he'll be a lot of fun.

Since it's the summer, you can park in the OSU garage just NW of the Newport on High Street. I was there Weds night to see Black Joe Louis and the Honeybears. We had to park up a few levels to get away from other people, but I had no problems in the garage.

nobody this side of 1985. clear bra is the only way to go.

I don't have a used one to sell you, but this is the only thing you will EVER need to clean your interior. http://www.toolfetch.com/Category/Janitorial_Equipment/Vacuums/Wet_Dry_Vacuums/632-31653.htm The bonus is that it'll take a serious amount of abuse too. If Andy and I can use it just about every weekend for 2+ years, I'd say you're not going to wear it out.

pretty crazy stuff. I live pretty close to there. One of the other news channels was reporting that they sold 2 Kilos of coke to an undercover cop, so they were moving quite a bit of stuff out of there.
