  1. Pics look good. There should be 2 rotors on the front. Bet he's a drag racer
  2. Smokey

    Herrow

looks great, and stupid fast. Like the paint job....that's a GM color right? Welcome to the site.
  3. Glad to see you made a nice pickup. Keep us posted as you fix it to your liking.
  4. True, I was hinting more at the fact of someone just wanting to get a check to use for something else.
  5. This. My wife's stone is noticably smaller than that and I had in engraved on the side. Depending on how far you want to go down the road of "doing the right thing" you could call around to some of the major insurance companies to see if they have the stone insured by that certificate/serial number. Of course on the other hand you could be doing someone a favor as they likely had a stone of that size insured and could be now getting a nice size check for "losing" it.
  6. dig the Model A. I want a Model A roadster with a flathead bad....but no monies. Think I can bum a ride in it sometime?
  7. Not sure why people have come in here to disect your financial transactions. To answer your question I would check out http://www.m3fourm.net
  8. This event aside, Stanceworks has some of the best looking vehicles period. Now, there are definitely some that take it a bit far, but there are others that are completely hot.
  9. ^^HA...one of those was for me. Thanks Dave!
  10. Many tracks in the NE areas of the country are designed with small run-off areas like this, but that doesn't mean that it's desireable. It just seems that they cheaped out on clearing land at the sacrifice of run-off room. Trust me, NOBODY is going to come out well if they hit one of those exposed ends of the concrete walls....picture this. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=b036OYyiwoc As for the shitty driver dig...I'll take on your poopra any day at Nelson. I'll even take it easy on you and bring the M3.
  11. I honestly haven't laughed as hard as I did at that cry in quite some time. I'm still wiping tears from my eyes!
  12. I have to be honest Matt, looking at those pictures doesn't exactly make me want to drive on that track. Each one shows that they took their "European Flair" to mean concrete barriers 3 foot off of the edge of the track the whole way around. And where they put those nifty splits/alternate configurations...that whole 1 layer of tires isn't doing much to protect the unfortunate soul who will slam into the sharp end of those concrete walls!
  13. pads and rotors. First it was a problem with the rear calipers sticking, so we replaced them, but then it was still doing it only on the driver's side. Then I replaced all of the hardware and anything else in there. That seemed to work for the winter, but they're warped again. I think my other problem stems from using cheap ass parts...but it was hard to convince me to buy the expensive stuff when I wasn't sure they'd last more than a few months. I just need to sack up and pay the good money to redo it again this summer.
  14. I don't have any experience with the 6-cyllinder versions, but my wife bought her 03 6i new and we've beat the piss out of it for the last 7 years. just over 130K miles now. Biggest issues I've run into is that on the 4-cyllinders the pcv valve is BEHIND the intake manifold...the hose to it split and I had to take off the intake manifold off to replace it...pain. Her car seems to be chewing up rear brakes as well lately. The black metal pieces on the rear doors/windows will all rust as well. Other than that, it's held up to the abuse quite well all things considered.
  15. Hot car, but unless it's a total track car, SMGII FTL.
  16. Grant, I shoot pistols semi-regularly. Let me know if you want to meet up and go sometime.
  17. Welcome in papa Farkas. Nice cars.
  18. As if these guys need another thread, but what the hell. Wife's car had been having a front end vibration. Dropped off Saturday morning and it was fixed quite quickly. Thanks again guys.
  19. Timmyfest was up there. It was originally intended as a M5 meet, but grew into an overall BMW meet. The AMG stuff was there from the shop from Chicago that was doing the dyno/tuning. It should be going on again today around the same times.
  20. Don't have anything in mind off the top of my head, I just wasn't sure if you were willing to bump up your price figure for a working car or not. I'll keep my eye out, but as you've noticed 7club is the best place to find a roller these days. You can also check out http://www.speedforsale.com They seem to always have a few rollers that they're selling.
  21. damn you guys are harsh. The intro wasn't that bad.
  22. are you specifically looking for a roller or would you consider a working *gasp* rotary car?
  23. DOH! I literally switched from 4 day work weeks back to 5 last week...bogey. I would have gone up to just hang out, none of my cars are quite track ready at the moment. Have a good time Matt.
  24. I've heard Felicia before and really like the song. Perfect day isn't bad. Have you heard anything else from their album? Just wondering if it's worth picking up the whole thing or just pick-n-choose the ones I like.
  25. Sorry to see that Ryan, but WAY better to low side than high! That shoulder looks like it might hurt a bit, but hopefully it'll be healed soon.
