  1. Am I the only one that was too lazy to do standard ramen? I would buy the ones in the styrofoam containers that are pre-seasoned and have "veggies" in them. Fill it with water, put it in the microwave for 2 1/2 minutes ? profit?
  2. dunno what whiskey you're drinking brother but I'd LOVE to find what I normally drink for $4/gallon
  3. hahaha. I have to see how bad they're going to offend my nerd-dom before I can go and condemn it.
  4. so......does someone have a link to the preview?
  5. welcome in. I'd focus on suspension first. That'll give you plenty of time to figure out what you want to do power-wise.
  6. been wating for it to close for years. Hopefully it'll stay dead.
  7. I had a HPMBC on my talon and found that the shortest lines (within reason) provided great results with regard to boost spike and steady performance. The only possible downside that I could see with long lines would be possible boost spike due to delayed pressure to the wastegate.
  8. I believe Jones was referring to the Torco additive (octane booster) in question, and relating to any octane booster in general. Not race fuel in the drums. Not trying to be a dick, just hoping to clear confusion
  9. Erik, i'm hoping to come up on Sunday. I'll definitely hit you up. Todd, are you a Honda or Suzuki rep? Sorry, can't remember been out of the business a while.
  10. just checked your other thread. I would put full faith in Matt/Auto Assets to handle you correctly with the MS3 as well.
  11. Most Mazda-oriented shops in town seem to be rotary specific. With the MS3 I'd just go to a reputable shop that is familiar with direct injected turbo charged vehicles....IPS comes to mind.
  12. used to listen to DI back in college. http://www.fusionchicago.com will have more pop-ish remixes and what not I've actually liked http://www.c895worldwide.com It's a station run by a highschool in Seattle.
  13. Thanks a lot Tim, I'll definitely check that out. It would make sense seeing as the intake duct that I feel is the culprit is essentially 2 stories stright up from the unit.
  14. I had considered the same, but I figured if that was the case that the smell wouldn't go away and come back. I would think wreaking death would be continual
  15. would it be best for me to wait until the next "smell attack" to schedule the cleaning, or should it help whenever it's done?
  16. this has come and gone thru 2 filter changes, and doesn't seem to get better or worse when the filter is changed. I've noticed it both during the winter (gas heat) and summer (a/c)
  17. from time to time I notice a smell in my condo at the top of my stairs. It seems to be coming from a 2'x2' HVAC intake grate that's right there. I could be wrong, but that's my best indication of where it's coming from. The question I have is would having someone come and clean my ducts actually help this? The smell shows up for a couple days about once every 6 weeks or so and then magically goes away again. Our condo was a new build about 1.5 years ago.
  18. when I was in Chicago last year I could rent movies in my room that were still in theaters. I didn't bother to pay attention to how recent they went from release date, but I know that the movie I watched wasn't out on DVD yet as I had been waiting for it. I don't think this will happen on a large scale for some time though. I'm sure they're working on something along these lines, but this would open a big can of piracy that they're already fighting as-is. Plus there wouldn't be any way for them to charge you per-person like they can at the movies. You could buy it once and stuff 50 people in front of your projector. The reality is that they make more off of you as a consumer when you go to the movies, so they're not going to directly take out of their own pockets for your convenience.
  19. so....er....how many damn groceries do you overpay for each month?
  20. it was nice meeting a couple of you guys. I was definitely kicking myself for not forcing the wife to go since it would have been a perfect event for her.
  21. yeah, nevermind, I just wasn't thinking there. Thanks for the help Erica
  22. couple other questions I forgot to ask. Am I allowed to ride along with my wife when she drives? If she's shy about doing the corner work, can I do it for her? What are the rules regarding sharing a car? also, anybody know what class my M3 will be in to save me some time/trouble? I'm too lazy to take off the x-brace which I think puts me out of any ST classes last time I checked. Other mods would be coilovers/camber plates/exhaust/intake/front sway bar. Couple of goofy things that'd likely also mess with me are that i have aftermarket adjustable rear camber arms, the 3.5" MAF from the euro M3s, and the injectors from a 96+ M3. If it's just easier to sign up in a mod class I'm fine with that, i'm not really going for glory anyway and would rather not have somebody pissed and protesting me.
  23. it's not a big deal. I was asking for my brother anyway who's a PCA member....I'm not. Do you expect it to be pretty laid back and not very crowded? I might bring my wife out to drive in my car as I've been looking to get her some seat time and this might be a good opportunity.
  24. maybe it's been a while since I've been thru that parking lot.....like since high school.....but isn't the lot a little small for an auto-x event? I guessing it'll just be a tight course. I may try to come out though as it's definitely close to me. Are there discounts for PCA members?
  25. cool car, welcome to the site. Hope to see you out sometime.
