    Hi

e36 looked good too. Definitely better than the first car I had.
  2. even though you were already a member....welcome back I suppose. I followed a couple of your threads on Rx7club. Very cool car, I'd definitely love a ride sometime (preferrably on a track)....although I didn't see if you kept a passenger seat in it.

    old/ new guy

welcome in. Don't see a bike listed in your profile. What do you race? What series?
  4. welcome in. We met back when I worked at Motorsports and you would bring up your white MX5 and do doughnuts in our parking lot.
  5. cool car. Dad had 2 944s. One stock 85 1/2, and a modded 944s. Both were great cars to drive.
  6. Well, you've certainly seen the rough side of CR and you're still around. I'm sure you have a hell of a hole of negative rep to climb out of though. From the pictures the car looks to be well done in workmanship and not with cheap ass parts. Looks good, hope to see you at the track sometime. Hal....I'll be your Huckleberry for the nelson bet....how about we bet the installation of the transmission in my FD?

    Hi

very cool 911 project, be sure to keep us posted as it gets further along. Welcome.
  8. no, your camping spot should be fine. There's a Nelson Ledges state park, there's also about 50 other things up that way called Nelson Ledges something....it just so happens that the only thing I've ever cared about and the most popular one is the race track.
  9. very true Craig. I've always kinds liked the "our little secret" nature of the track.
  10. http://roadracingworld.com/news/article/?article=33089 Looks like our diamond in the ruff track is going to be in the big-time now. Guess we better try to get as many Fundays in this year as possible because once they go "Country Club" they probably won't have them anymore. The upside though is that the layout of the track has always been very fast and fun, and could be much better for track days (both bikes and cars) with better amenities, we could just have to pay more to do it. Guess they're hoping to be the Mid-Ohio of the North East portion of the state.
  11. for those of you that grew up in the 80s like me. Who didn't want to be Michael Knight? http://knightrideronline.com/news/2008/06/mio_knight_rider_gps_has_voice.php
  12. glad to hear you got everything sorted out. Northwest has always been a very respectable business.

    Science!

the Buggles...and no, i didn't look it up.
  14. I was always a big fan of the v12 days.....will always miss that sound http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aBXUOomynxw
  15. er....don't expect that from me in a drag race! I'd be game for a little track challenge to prove the rotary prowess though
  16. very cool, welcome....even if it has the wrong motor in it
  17. Gallardo = Guy-yard-O Ruf = Roof Ducati 1098 = 10-9-8 Porsche = Porsch-a....not a damn porsh
  18. you guys might try to leave a little earlier as the driver's meeting was at 9:45 last friday, and you know how they get picky about people missing it. Also, they black-topped over the bridge so you can finally go out at lunch without dragging the side skirts of your cars!
  19. would love to go....except that 4th gear owns me now.... You guys missed a great day this past Friday. Weather was perfect.
  20. kind of a broad question. The Nelson Funday is actually put on by the people that run the Nelson Ledges road course. There is NOT any in-car instruction provided and it's a much more open format. Most days at Mid-Ohio are actually run by other groups (SCCA, NASA, BMWCCA, PCA...etc). Unless you were referring to the actual "Mid-Ohio School" which is still run very similarly to the other organizations with classroom instruction, in-car instruction combined with track time. The biggest difference is the lack of the classroom/car instruction and the requirement to run around to those type of things all day. At a funday you merely pick a run group, go out, come back in and watch/ride with others.
  21. correct. The M3 didn't start till 01 though
  22. newest body in a 4-door =e90 in a 2-door = e92
  23. understandable, but I still feel that the e46 will be a timeless style that can always look great. hard to deny this hotness... http://iiilgsrlll.com/Ling/canon/Cars/dut_m3/ikea/CRW_1373.jpg
  24. Andy beat me to it....and took my picture too!!! If you can find a way to swing it, a 335 will handle all of your needs. Plus you can stick to very reversable mods as well. You could fit an e46 M3 in your price range, but it'll be out of warranty and you'll be going more than 4 year term.
  25. is this company car going to be driven many many miles? What's its main use? Are you looking for a comfortable car that is fun yet presentable and professional? Or do you not care and just want the fun and damn everything else?
