  1. I definitely considered that day, and it'll be a ton of fun to just show up and see all the other cars out....alas...my budget will not permit it this year. Perhaps we can meet up at a Funday later this year year and check each other's cars out. I've been infinitely curious about 3 rotor FDs but never had the chance to ride in one.
  2. yeah, they're painting the concrete or some crap like that. They just like to keep the orange barrels there to keep the money coming in. I think that they're starting to take notice that people FLY thru there because it's not regularly patrolled, so they know they'll get people. On the way home for lunch today, I saw a CPD motorcycle officer with someone pulled over on 270N by easton, and there were 2 Highway cops clocking people in the construction on 161 right after you crossed sunbury rd.
  3. they're patrolling strong on the NE side. I drive 161-270-670 daily and see them A LOT. They like to hide on 270 North right after easton when it goes down to 55 for the construction so watch out. Ben, the other night there were 3 highway patrol working with Blendon twp on 161 in the construction zone. The blendon cop was on the little turtle bridge clocking people and the highway cops were on the ground pulling people over. Even though I'm sure you get off at little turtle, just letting you know.
  4. I don't think anybody is saying that he shouldn't pay, but it is certainly in the wrong for the shop to charge the additional money to his account without his approval. He went in and expressed a budget, which they brought out products to meet. Afterward they realized it was their mistake for selling a product for the wrong price....that doesn't give them the right to charge the customer again.
  5. I definitely like it man!! Drive-ability is great, it sounds awesome, and is tons of fun. Let's get that bitch on the track now
  6. I'd be very interested in taking a ride along with you, and would gladly return the favor. Unfortuantely I won't be able to make the 27th, but who knows maybe the wife will let me out twice?
  7. oh, come on man...that's all we get?!
  8. I think it helps that you just don't slow down for the corners
  9. first they took the Paris out of the Paris Dakar rally....now they're taking the Dakar out of the Dakar rally. Am I surprised? not really. I think it sucks, but I guess the event should soldier on. More reason for me to watch the Baja now though.
  10. I really like the back, the front I'd like to see in person. In the pictures the headlights and lower front grille seem a bit off. (which I like a lot more on the current 6) Hopefully they didn't ruin anything about the car itself as the current 6 is a really good car.
  11. This was my fault as well. I'm not saying you shouldn't have or shouldn't still pay for the items, but it was their fault not yours and they did not have the authority to charge your account again.
  12. nice cars. It's always cool to see a mustang that handles. Hope to see you at the track sometime. Oh, and nice plate. +rep
  13. $125. You'll need to have a helmet, long sleeve t-shirt (which they rarely enforce) and jeans. As far as your car....tough question. You could go into huge detail or barely anything on that question, so let me know if you need more info. You just want to make sure that you have good life left on your brake pads, bleed the brake fluid. Obviously fix any oil or coolant leaks that may exist. Torque down the wheels and make sure you have plenty of tire for the day as well. It's all pretty common sense there. Since you know your car better than anyone else, just look things over and try to address any weak points that you think might be an issue after 20-30 minutes of hard driving.
  14. ^^ Yep, while we tried to organize a CR day at Nelson and it somewhat flopped, the more the merrier. We usually just drive up and back the same day as well to keep things as simple as possible. I'm still not really sure how we're going to get all the stuff there this time though as we normally have at least 1 M3 going and you can stuff them full of tools/canopy! Now, we'll have the 996 and 3 FDs (which can fit about a cooler in them and nothing else). -edit, Thorne's taking the canopy!!
  15. i'm not an expert here, but I'm pretty sure that they can't run your card again without your authorization. You have a copy of the invoice and the original receipt that you signed correct? If they're going to be dicks, I'd take it up with your bank and accuse them of fraud (which is what they did whether or not you actually owed them the money). The bank will likely charge that money back to your account. It's not your fault they made a mistake and they should have remedied the situation properly by contacting you about the outstanding bill.

    Bad experience

http://lazyk.blogspot.com ---read from the beginning, you'll laugh, you'll cry as well because it's likely applied directly to you. sorry to hear that you got screwed by them, but this is far from their first time sticking it to their "customers" (victims)
  17. glad to hear that things are going forward Erik. June 20th is when we're planning on our next trip to Nelson and I'm hoping to put a more thorough shake down on the FD. Hopefully you can tag along. plus we need to have our rotary vs. piston showdown, so that can be the final portion I as well didn't think the exhaust overheat light had a buzzer associated with it but I could be wrong. The other buzzer could be that damn "shift" buzzer.
  18. get a lot of chain mail today Rob?
  19. question for you. If she hadn't brought it up, would you have thought of asking her to marry you? By the post you wrote I would say no....and that should be your decision on the marriage as well. I don't presume to know you or your relationship other than what you posted, but I have a couple of friends right now talking divorce. They're both very much still in love with their partners and don't really fight...they just grew apart and it isn't really working anymore. When I asked why they got married, the answer was "it seemed like the appropriate next step"...which is the vibe you're giving here.
  20. what's it like? I haven't talked to anyone with it yet. Do you think it'll actually keep your attention and interest in continued workouts?

    cars and coffee

    so.....eh.......this weekend?
  22. welcome ....in before the leg humpers
  23. ^^ LOL post some pics up. Wagons can still be cool. I'd say look at the possible auto-x classes for the car and mod based on putting it into a near-stock class....then drive and have fun.
  24. original here: http://www.mototuneusa.com I agree with this and have yet to find a reason why this wouldn't apply to a rotary engine.
  25. you need some "after" photos of those hot-ass pipes after we rattle-bombed them black....pure stealth. hahaha I as well like the business look, especially in person when you see the R888s.
