  1. I would love to see a stig match up. I think the biggest difference we're seeing though is that Porsche is comparing the GT-R to the GT2 and GT3, while Nissan is comparing it to the standard turbo model.
  2. I've never found anyone with it locally. I'm pretty sure they're based out of Ohio somewhere though, so if you're into the road trip thing you might be able to get some that way. Otherwise you have to order it. Let me know if/where you get some though and how you like it. I'm contemplating using it for my fluid change next year.
  3. crazy stuff man, glad to hear everybody is ok. maybe you shouldn't take him for any more rides in the FD ok?

    FNG here

335 is hot. I'm not hot on blue myself, but i'm sure it'll look good. I was pretty sure though that on the BMW employee program you can't get any M cars.
  5. I've always been partial to turbo cars, but mostly due to the ease of extra power from factory turbocharged setups. As far as overall F/I solutions I think that turbos have come quite a long way in the past years. It's now much easier to find a proper turbo that can give both big power and a broad power curve. Superchargers and spray still have their places. It just depends on what you want to do with your setup.
  6. Rick, I'd say that GoneVille, MutCrutch, and ConeSmasher have pretty much given you an answer to your question. Reasons to vote for Obama: His plan for Iraq, Education Reform, Healthcare plan, PayGo structure. Are these really that revolutionary and make him the messiah? No, but they are valid reasons to vote for him for many people. I myself am still quite torn on this election as I don't want to cast a vote against someone, but that's the breaks sometimes.
  7. that's some serious tire stretch there Bob. Perhaps I missed it, but what's the bolt pattern?
  8. the problem with keeping the thread going is that it was originally intended to be musice VIDEOS. We seem to have posted all applicable ones and now are down to music without the videos....thus defeating the purpose of the thread.
  9. the GTR fanboys are busy blowing up their transmissions and not having them covered under warranty
  10. I daily my e36 M3 and enjoy it. It's nice enough that I don't feel like I'm driving a piece of crap around, but it's not so nice that I feel bad driving it every day. I'm not beating on mine as much as I used to but I've been able to get a consistent 25mpg on a tank. My commute is mostly highway though so that helps. If you can afford an e46 M3 they're pretty much better in every way, but also more expensive in every way as well, so that's up to you to decide how much you want to spend on a daily. The e36 M3 is far from fast, but it's still a very fun car to drive.
  11. NEVAR!!! THIS IS THE TRUFF! in reading a bit on the thread it seems that the dealers were making individuals sign a waiver that specifically stated if they took off the VCD it voided the warranty. You have to take off the VCD to use the launch control so they're in a round about way saying you can't use the launch control (Nissan doesn't acknowledge to the public that the launch control actually exists for liability reasons)...which sucks because that's how they came up with those nifty 0-60 times that they tout so much.
  12. takin it back baby http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cknX36Gurj0 worth it for in the middle of the video when you see the Diablo doing 360s without moving forward
  13. ouch man, that definitely sucks. Are you able to buy it back for cheap or was the $6K someone else buying the car?
  14. I don't follow Ben. Am I missing something here?
  15. I believe Mike was referring to senate/house elected officials. you guys do realize there are other people to vote for right?
  16. FD rollers bring stupid big money for what they are, but I suppose it's because little pieces are getting hard to find. David....I'm really sad to hear the R2 got beat up, hopefully you can fix her up quickly. on Rx7Forum shoot a message to FritzFlynn and DJSeven. Those would be the best bets of people that might have something laying around or access to rollers.

    Nelson Ledges

unfortunately I think i'm packing it in for the year. I'm pretty much used up on consumables on the FD and the wife has other plans for our "budget" for this fall such as stupid house work.
  18. nature of the beast of getting married I suppose. I figure if she's cool enough to let him get it and she wants to drive it then more power to the almighty Baroness.
  19. I figure there will be sightings of the Baron all around town with that car, it's not quite inconspicuous

    Race gas

run it mixed thru the bike and it'll give you that great race gas smell and not make any other difference. I'll have to admit it is nice when you come to a stop and get to smell it. I vote you donate it to me and I'll run it through the FD for the same reasons
  21. definitely sucks to hear Erik. If you want to camp out and see if they return let me know.
  22. The Franzia pic is priceless. I'm still up in the air as to what I'm doing this year. I've been putting off going as Raul Duke for about the past 5 years as I cannot ever find a suitable person willing to go as my attorney. Maybe I'll finally be able to pull it off this year.
  23. Ryan's on it. Paint the wheels fire engine red and put the small center polished hubcaps on.
  24. great person, pretty much the standard that people should compare themselves to if they wish to achieve true greatness. I realize it's hard to summarize someone's life in just one article, but to casually call him a racing enthusiast is far off the mark. This article goes a bit deeper in detail on his racing career. Many people say that if he had started racing at a younger age that he would easily have been a world champion. http://www.huffingtonpost.com/steve-parker/paul-newman-race-car-driv_b_129953.html
