  1. Starting to look into hiking as a hobby. Interested to see if anyone has some used gear to get rid of. Hiking backpacks, collapsible tents, stoves, lanterns, trekking poles, or any other kind of tools. Would prefer to go used as this stuff ads up in price, cheaper the better.

    LA Noire

its looks awesome, the only thing that pushes me off is the replayability. i can knock out a single player campaign fast. just don't see myself putting out $60 for something i'll beat then shelf.
  3. While I believe carrying open carry is just going to make police target you, the leo could of approached this situation a lot better by just checking his license for the gun and the gun itself. Of course, considering the officer did not know the law makes a difference. I just find it hard to believe that that many officers did not know open carry was legal. As far as the dude getting charged for reckless endangerment and disorderly conduct, both will probably be thrown out in court as all he has to do is play the tape. Here's a better article on it... http://m.philly.com/phillycom/db_/contentdetail.htm;jsessionid=E19932C05D3DEA8C9997279DC1434DED?contentguid=v8rDTw2r&full=true Oh and at the end of the article they mention that the police department has now gone over the Open Carry law numerous times with its officers and the 'right way' to approach an oc individual.
  4. Trailers blow, they could have least thrown in some tease. Especially if they want to get their hype up to BF3s level. I've never been much of a cod multiplayer guy (10 year olds screaming racist terms gets old), but I usually enjoyed the singleplayers. But I was very disappointed with Black Ops, so hopefully MW3 will be better.

  6. The second post made me laugh.
  7. stupid move on the owners part. should of just called the cops. if someone tried to do that a meet up here i could see the same thing happen. people would freak out and some dudes would start swinging.
  8. such an awesome thread. just read about 64 pages. kinda pointless form like page 20-60 though, till around 60 where they find out he's in jail.

    open carry

it makes people very nervous. my old job we use to have a federal agent guy come in all the time with open carry, the badge right near his holster and people still stared at him. i think its more hassle then its worth.
  10. Ya pretty much. Brinks fun. It's a love or hate type of game. If you wanna see a good review check out Machinimas. A lot of other sites reviewed it based on stuff thats patched already.
  11. I'll be the one to put it back on topic. Cute dogs, my buddy is looking for a pit, I'll let him know.
  12. Ya I was pushing for the Rav4. But I think her parents really liked the CRV for some reason so that helped the decision. I'll throw a pic up later as I just played Brink for the past 8 hours and need some sleep.
  13. Well they decided on the CRV. She just got a brand new black one. Opinions on the '11 CRVs?
  14. awesome. got any pics of the full car? edit: just saw them. looks awesome man
  15. thats really awesome. side note, amazing how those go pros stay on at 183mph.
  16. Haha. Fuck no. I just told the girl I'd ask around for her. What exactly caused the engine malfunction? Was it a similar/same situation? Thanks for the input so far guys, I'll let her know. Anymore is welcome.
  17. i'll let her know. she has a jetta though and has kind of gone through hell with it. so not sure if they'll want to go back to vw.
  18. Guy punches girl Cops show up Guy: I'll hurt you worse if you tell them what happened Girl: All is fine officer. Cops leave. While I agree waiting till the Police to show up is a good idea (guy could have a weapon or some shit), you should have talked to the Police when they showed up.
  19. No shit, one of the reasons I left CJ, getting a job as a Police Officer is fucking impossible these days unless you know some one. Curious though, since the S&I program at OSU is a minor, what would be a recommended major?
  20. Get a slip and slide. Cheaper and can entertain them just as much.
  21. How can there be 5 hours of negotiations when the guy didn't respond to anything?
  22. My girlfriend is looking at getting a crossover/suv. (her rich parents are paying so money is not a big deal) They've looked at the Honda CRV, Acura RDX, and the Mazda CX7. She liked the CX7 the most. Anyone got opinions/experiences on these such as reliability, whether or not it will burst into flames and kill her, and major problems with them? Any other similar vehicles can be looked at also.
  23. My cousin's wife is an FBI agent and she had Criminology, but guess it changed since then. I was in cj for Policing anyway. Look at this way Dover. Even if you did get a job somehow in one of these agencies. To advance anywhere, you'd still need a degree.
  24. Most Government agencies won't look at you without a Bachelors, even with military service. (I actually think the FBI/CIA requires it) Now if you get a Criminal Justice/Criminology bachelors then go back with your military background, you'll get a huge boost over other candidates. CJ is a pretty easy major, I did it for 3 years and had no problems with it. You could also look into Law Enforcement, but you're still going to want at least an Associates to get looked at by bigger departments. Look at this way, the military is going to pay for you to go to school. Go do it. My brother is on the GI Bill and its worked damn good for him. Pay for school, his books, and his rent. And he still has plenty of left over money for other things.
