  1. Like it says. It's all I'm looking for. Cosmetics not important. If it's some ragged out old squirrel gun, that's no prob. I'll have the important points checked out with you and a smithy...
  2. So, I've never been shopping on Black Friday, ever. But, I've got some time on my hands lately and there was a plan in my head. Really only one thing that I was after so this is no warrior story like some of you I'm sure have. I saw that Cabela's had a Nikon Prostaff scope for 22 lr that I've been wanting to hang on a new squirrel gun build. $99 price tag and it came packaged with 333 rounds of hollow point ammo. It was stupidly simple and took longer to drive there than make the purchase. Walked in, found display, picked up item, paid and home by 10 a.m. No crowd, no fuss. Now to find that Ruger M77.... So, what's your Black Friday Story?
  3. Yeah, approx that. Probably get it with sedate commuting, but I just cant seem to ride that way. The Buell is very good at working thru traffic and seems to enjoy life in the higher end of the rpm range. I finally settled on the cityx seat, which is about as flat as you can get. I like the leg room (6' 1 guy) and I have a nice upright vantage to survey upcoming traffic. It came with Buell bags and I use them. It really is a unique kind of ride...
  4. After riding the xb9 for work this past year, I have to say I love it. It's not the vfr, no freaking comparison, but the Buell is nimble, gets awesome mpg's, has attitude and is mostly care free. Easy to farkle, lots of aftermarket schtuff. Would be hard to part with.
  5. This thread is right on time. Been thinking about some ink to herald the changes in my life. Plenty of time to research, but holy cow - where to begin?
  6. Wife likes to make her healthy juice from all kinds of fruits and veggies. I still eat meat, but she makes a mean glass of breakfast beauty! It's my belief that a lot of people get a juicer and it ends up collecting dust, not in our house. If you've got a GOOD one that you don't want, post up. Ours is about wore out. Thanks!

Damn it and that little guy on my shoulder... I have to be careful. Just got put on disability pay so financials might not be as liberal as they once were, but all I can think about is making up for lost time with the wife.

Hmmmm.... There's a 2011 Street Glide out there right now that is very tempting... if only money wasn't an issue.

I'm thinking a nice Road Glide would suite me very well, Ryan.

I foresee a comfy bagger in my stable come spring.
  11. Lurk on Linkedin. Update your profile and then check out their selections. Stay away from head hunters and placement agencies. Patronize professional resources. Listen a lot. Network, network, network. And perhaps the most important part. Know what you want before you ask for it. If you are assured and decisive about what you want and where you want to be in 5 to 10 years, it will speak volumes for you. Good luck.
  12. Congrats on your pending addition! Children are more joy than tears, but the tears will change you forever.
  13. Wow... Second big ride fatality here in Ohio this year isn't it? Gotta think alcohol was involved. RIP rider...
  14. Black. Price for XL please? Also, XXL available? I've had problems finding gloves big enough and need to check fit "somewhere" before ordering...
  15. My Buell came with OEM saddlebags and tail bag. Also a fairly nice Cortech bag. All are showing signs of weathering and fading and I'd like to dress them up and add a little weather protection. I've considered silicon spray like SC1 and thought about Armorall, maybe even spray black detailer. Is there a specific product for what I want to do? Suggestions?
  16. Maybe redundant, but this is the link I was sent by another rider... http://m.whio.com/news/news/i-75-shut-down-both-ways-auglaize-county/nhG4q/ Sad, sad, sad... Female passenger was killed pretty much instantly when the semi hit her. This is my fear - going down on the freeway because of someone else and getting hit by another vehicle. :-/
  17. S5 is supposed to be water proof, but we all know that means water "resistant." That was one of the reasons I bought it... I can piece something together pretty quickly I'm sure, I'm just lazy and this looked like a good deal.
