  1. Surprise you? I hear you're pretty well traveled in the beer world... How about 4 different sixes? That way if I repeat something you've already had we can chalk it up to restocking your supply?

    Bud Light

In all sober seriousness, alcohol of any kind does NOT hydrate, it actually does the opposite. College was a long time ago, and I don't deny that I built my share of empty can pyramids with piss water beer (we had 3.2% back then, god help me). But I've learned to take everything in moderation and appreciate nice things - liquor, wine, cigars, and beer. No I don't drink stupidly expensive beer but I'll try anything once. btw, Yuengling is always in the fridge (not the light).
  3. Not bud light? lol Pick your poison and we'll talk
  4. Ok... So aside from Snot and MJ, are there any women that frequent this site anymore? And just in case you want to try some venison: 2 pounds venison steak, cubed 4 stalks celery, chopped 1 small bag baby carrots 4 small white onions 6 medium potatoes, quartered 2 cans beef broth 1 cup red wine 2 tbsp Worcestershire sauce 2 bay leaves flour salt/pepper to taste Canola oil Toss cubed venison in flour with salt and pepper. Brown in canola oil. Put in large crock pot. Add all other ingredients and fridge overnight. Turn crock pot on low in the morning, eat when you're ready at dinner time. Serve with lots of crusty bread and a nice zinfandel or pinot noir.

    Bud Light

Drinking light beer is pointless. Other countries laugh at Americans when the subject of light beer comes up. Maybe we should have some skim milk or drink wine from a box or guzzle a shit load of piss water beer just so we can brag to our friends about how many "beers" we can drink.
  6. Is this evidence of when women actually came here to post? (no offense intended MJ)
  7. Got one sitting that you don't want anymore? Doesn't have to be pretty, just working. Needs to go in the basement of a vacant rental, didn't want to buy a new one. Needs to have connection for hose so I don't have to visit it all the time to empty it. Thanks!
  8. Go Navy! Yes, the vet plates on my car got me out of a ticket a couple years back in Gahanna. There's more to the story though...
  9. These bikes are finicky and require routine carb cleaning unless you're absolutely fanatical about maintaining the fuel system. That's why they turn up with relatively low miles from time to time. Somebody buys one, lets it sit for a long winter without prepping the fuel system, and in the spring it either won't start or runs like shit and they let it sit in some back garage. TheGSResources.com is the all around best site. Get a can of dip, buy an o-ring set on the site, pull the carbs, and follow the carb clean procedure to the letter. It's a one day job and anyone can do it. Just do your homework first and take your time. You can try spraying carb cleaner around the boots and make sure they're not old and cracked and leaking, you could get lucky.
  10. I thought Tito's was pretty frickin' cool for awhile, but it tends to hang me over. But then I drink vodka on the rocks with a twist when I'm drinking vodka, and it's got to be clean. Ketel One is the go-to for sure for that. Just enough taste without being flowery like Goose or raw and impure like Oyo. I'm not saying Oyo is bad, just be prepared for what it is; a single filtered vodka with a lot of character that some find off-putting. But its awesome for special occasions and reminds me a lot of shine. Goose, on the other hand, is a chick vodka. The bottle is pretty and women like it for that and the name, and it tastes like perfumed douche... But we stock it in the bar cause it sells. If I'm mixing, I'll use Skyy. Triple filtered through charcoal and it makes even sugar free Rock Star into a beverage worth having - well, maybe worth having one of for shits and giggles anyway. Back to bourbon. Beam is best for mixers. Derby day Julips made with Beam will make the most boring soccer mom squeal like a school girl at Post Time, if you make em right. But you gotta sell the fresh mint leaves muddled in the bottom of the glass and kick up the presentation with powdered sugar on top. More on that some other time... Makers Mark - it's what's in the Manhattan I'm partaking in right now, and I make a bad-ass Manhattan. Learned it from my Dad - he knew his shit. I'm on number three and typing is becoming a challege. Like I said, Crown is over-rated but you get that cute little blue bag that you can leave laying around to hint to all your friends that you drink crown. meh. And, dear god I tried that maple crown shit at my son's 30th b-day party and I'd like to cut my own fucking taste buds out. I'd sooner chug pancake syrup. Better end this before I say someithing offensive. Oh, wait. Killians. There I said something offensive. It's NOT a fucking Irish beer. It's a coooooooors product. You wanna drink an Irish beer, get you some Smithwicks. And fucking learn how to pronounce it. lol

    2003 Honda VFR

There are some nice hard bags out there for 6th Gens like this one... much more than 5th gens like mine, in case you were thinking of touring with it.
  12. There is conflicting information between the Ohio Attorney General publication and the USA Carry site: USA Carry: Concealed firearms are banned in premises for which a D permit has been issued or in an open air arena for which a permit of that nature has been issued. There are some exceptions to this prohibition. The prohibition does not apply to principal holder of D permit as long as principal holder is not consuming liquor. The prohibition does not apply to an agent or employee of the principal holder who is also a peace officer who is also off duty. Possession of a concealed firearm is allowed in a retail store with a D-6 or D-8 permit as long as concealed carry license holder is not consuming liquor. Class D permits are generally issued to an establishment that sells alcohol for consumption on the premises. In any event, be certain of the type of permit and whether liquor is being consumed before you enter with a concealed handgun. Ohio Attorney General: Licensed Class D liquor permit premises if you are consuming beer or intoxicating liquor or are under the influence. If you are not consuming, you may carry unless there is a conspicuous sign prohibiting carry. Possession of a concealed firearm is allowed in a retail store with a D-6 or D-8 permit as long as the concealed carry license holder is not consuming liquor. Class D permits are generally issued to an establishment that sells alcohol for consumption on the 13 premises. In any event, do not consume beer or intoxicating liquor before carrying a concealed handgun into a licensed premises. FYI...
  13. Crown is way overrated... Maker's Mark is much better. Titto's is a cheap vodka that's good in mixed drinks. Kettel one is an excellent sipper and preferred in my house. OYO is even better for an occasional and unusual sipper. Lagavulin 16... aye laddy, that's gooder than sex. Foo foo flavored liquor's are great for frat parties and raves. Yes, I'm a liquor snob. Yes, these are only my opinions. And yes, a good shine beats all comers at a party.
  14. ^^^ What I'm thinking... Sounds Great!
  15. People suck... Hope the man gets his bike back.
  16. VFR didn't have a center stand when I bought it. Put one on for three reasons - oil level must be checked upright; chain maintenance is way easier; didn't need to buy a rear stand for oil changes, etc.

    Riders Down

wow... glad to hear you're both ok. Someday, ODOT will do a better job keeping up on intersections like this one. But I'm a dreamer...

    Good News thread:

Came home and found my package had arrived with my new MIC holsters... One for the xds and one for the G21. Especially excited about the MIC for the G21... Never thought I'd be able to conceal a 13 round .45 until now. Talk about a big heavy package in the front of my pants... yeah, ladies. That's right. :-D
