Wish I could have gotten there a little earlier but church ran late. Plus the passenger and I couldn't get the Chatterbox headsets to pair up - gave up after half an hour screwing with them... Nice to put a few names to faces, second the name tag thing next time. I've got some larger address labels we can use at the next one. Many, many thanks to Ryan for putting this on. Great to see you again. I know you worked your ass off, but it looked like you were enjoying yourself! And, fyi, I think the Vstrom is awesome!

I'm in the market for a decent dual sport helmet for when I ride my Buell. Shoei's fit my head well, but their offering is way out of my price range. More comfortable in the hundo range...

So, I'm thinking of buying a new lid this year for when I ride the Buell, which will probably be for commuting purposes. The more upright riding posture of the Buell and the prospect of slower, in traffic riding on hot days has me thinking of a dual sport lid. Why? I'm thinking better ventilation and wider field of view, plus the advantage of a visor to keep the mid to late afternoon sun off my face. So, what do you think? Pro's/Con's, do you have such a helmet now and if so what do you like about it and what don't you like? There's a pretty cool video on Revzilla and I was liking the AFX lid, but it states that its a pretty heavy lid.

Shoot, Hellmutt, I stopped shooting competitively 15 years ago when I took up trad. Been all about the fun ever since. The summer league is just that, a good time shooting at the best club in central Ohio. Maybe even frosty beverages after... Let me know if you want to give it a go!
