  1. Having never seen this till now. I would view it as the dog charged the officers and then stopped once the officers noticed it (face to face contact) Once the dog had a primal advantage side/rear of the officer it lunged and is uncertain if mouth was open due to the distance and video quality. However, I would consider this an aggressive act if any dog did that to my family. The owner see's whats going on and try's to shoo the dog away knowing how it is acting.

Was it reasonable for the officer to believe he was about to be bitten?

The dog and officer do approach each other and the dog lunges again with its mouth open, which can be seen and the officer fires and shoots it.

If yes, was it reasonable for the officer to fire a shot to stop that bite?

Yes, Given the aggressive nature displayed towards the officers and size/bulk of the dog. If it had actually bitten anyone, it would have caused serious physical harm.

Was it reasonable to fire the 3 follow-up shots?

With an imminent physical threat, given the proximity of the dog and being unsure if a single shot will stop the threat... yes. You can't risk the safety and physical well being of officers or pedestrians given the nature of the animal.

  2. What's the date code on those? Send me a PM if you would.

Maybe I'll buy these for this weekend and then surely it won't rain. You can all thank me later.

Will do when I get home and let you know. Kept them inside since I took them to Nelson for the last round on sale. They are the same one's I had on the bike for PIRC last year when we went out for the wet practice on Saturday. Its the knobby style front which we preferred.

  3. Harbor Freight will have it. I also have a front wheel chock with E-Track tabs welded onto it, making it adjustable on if you have one or two bikes. Willing to sell if your interested.

  4. Get the bazzaz. I had a PC and sold it for the Bazzaz+QS box. (Bought from Rider's Discount). It makes tuning our bikes a LOT easier since DTMBrian can control all the injectors and really speeds up the process. Brian also prefers the Bazzaz due to this, but can get the tune done with a PC. As far as Air Filter...it's your choice, but I preference on the BMC for my bike.

Another issue with the R6 is the emissions ECU without unlocking it. You ideally need to sent it for an ECU

    flash.

  5. I've had 1 good and 1 bad experiance with them.

    1st - Positive.

Bought my old race bike and failed to notice the front wheel was bent towards the left when it should be straight. Took it to MPH and diagnosed with a bent frame (Pushed Up and over from front end crash). Payed quite a bit of money and it was fixed and verified with the digital gauge.

    2nd - Negative

Had a big off at a race weekend and thought I bent the frame or triples again. They verified the frame was good, but the lower triple was bent. Paid about $600+ for all the work and was told it was fixed. Drove up, looked it over and it still looked off, but not nearly as much. Was told it was good to go and verified....so I went with it. Next race weekend it just didn't feel right and so I took it out to Reuben/35 Motorsports and was told the lower triple was still bent. Reuben fixed it for almost nothing and the bike felt great again. Was pretty pissed to travel that far and pay that much not to have a fixed bike.... Don't think I would go back for anything but a digital check of a frame to verify straightness since its cheap.

  6. It was nice to say hey and hangout with everyone over the weekend since not seeing anyone since last year. Glad I was able to help anyone I could and get them going with anything I could. I definitely miss not racing, but even if I could...I just wouldn't be able to physically anyways at the moment.

I can also say from helping Todd for most of Sunday, they really do work hard for us. It was a whole new world to see how things go on and are run from the admin perspective vs a rider/racers point of view. I know a lot of people probably got frustrated at the late grid postings and results, but I assure you they were doing everything possible upstairs to keep it moving as fast as they could given the computer problems and many people having dead or NO transponders! I have the utmost respect for all the staff that help us enjoy the racing that we love. I'm going to try and take off work for the other rounds and come out to help him however I can.

  7. I didn't mean to make you spit up your water Brian lol. I was given that price as a half season, not a full one and more geared towards the starting guy. I've yet to complete a full season due to injury or bike crashes and spent way more money then I anticipated. Money is the primary reason I'm taking this year off to get other much need projects done.

One can easily break the bank, limit the credit cards or max out the student loans trying to finance this hobby. So as a warning to the up and comers is to only do what you can immediately afford.....NOT what your credit card allows you.

  8. I went out over the weekend and my parents have been since opening day. No birds and thus far it's been tough. They are all hen'ed up and seem to be fairly call shy. Maybe the end of the week it will change, but so far I'd say everything is about a week behind.

Was looking forward to trying the new SX3 and Kent Tungsten ammo having patterened it out on regular Kent.

  9. Without all the facts, no one can answer this question.

If he was charged with crimes the facts don't support, then he has nothing to worry about. What the police tell you you're charged with is more of a suggestion to the prosecutor. The cop isn't the one who has to tr the case.

No one seems to know the exact facts short of someone coming up with a copy of the report or the U-10-100. And one could also think of the prosecutor as the simply a "presenter" since the cop is the one dealing with it all and has to present why they went with the charges when testifying. Though being that it's Franklin county where the theory of prosecution is plea, plea, plea for a quick conviction rate and reduce work load, it doesn't take a genius to see that this will get plead down to Weapons while Under Disability, CCW, or disorderly conduct.
