Since I am working on the same project with getting new rotors in, I have been debating on changing out from my CL SBK5's to something else. Was kicking between Vesrash RJS's and Ferodo ST or XRAC's. It then its $100 vs $160..... so the choice seems to be coming easier!

Nod, and I just got new parts in to make my life easier!

Finally broke down today and ordered some stuff. Ended up buying a set of Brembo HP rotors and Gilles AS31GT Rearset in Black. Got the rearsets on discount from hardracing as I had ordered Sato's and they were out of stock and switched them for me. Other then that, I'm going to take a look at the pads again and maybe switch to Vesrah's for the future. And then look at the RCS MC when $$ comes available.

That was my bike prolly. I had it mounted off the tank facing forward at first then rear facing for the latter half of the day. I still never did get with the instructor in the #11 jersey that told enenen I needed to move up. =/

good luck to you guys tomorrow. keep the shiny side up.
Yup! Track will prolly be damp on the start of the day and we could get some rain during the day. Just be safe and keep it rubberside up! Worse case...pull a Whodey and take to the pits!

Come on in. I have no one else so far so its going to waste. PM me your cell # so I can call you up there and let you know where to go and can try to answer and questions you have.
-
Yeah. I agree with all that. Definitely have some slow and some fast people in it. And the passing can be unnevering at times with how some people ride. Maybe next year I'll think about it.
We have to get through the weather on Tuesday first!

After it happened, the lever seemed to come back farther then it use too and had very little initial bite then seemed to grab hard. When it did that, the whole front end of the bike would start to shake up and down. I let it cool down during lunch that day and went back out for 4 more sessions and didn't really have any issues, but did notice it when I was hard braking and the end of the back stretch. Its just more of a feeling of less confidence in them now then I had before.
I have Speigler SS lines front and back and I had just put on Carbone Lorraine SBK5 front pads. I had schmuck install all those and no we didn't scrub the pads before putting them on. Or the rotors. The stock rotors right now are blackened and somewhat spotted. We bleed the lines through with a full bottle of new fluid, but I will run some more through just to make sure theres no bubbles that were tucked away and became free.
As for the MC, I was looking at the Brembo RCS but I wasn't sure if it would work with my Speigler lines or not. Anyone heard about new MC's not working with SS lines?

I went out the other day and its not really chattering now. I think it just got too hot that session. I went the rest of that trackday without any problems, but want to get something better on it for next year.
-
Na, going to stay in I group for a while and work on my body positioning and better lines.
-
Still looking at these and really can't decide on what to get. I am down to look at these:
Galfer Front Wave
Braketech AXIS Stainless
Brembo HP Front Floating
Thoughts or suggestions? I will probably keep doing about 3-5 track days a year and standard street riding.

If anyones still looking for a place. I've got garage room if anyone wants in. No charge.
-
Just make sure you test it out before going up to see if you need to make adjustments. I know I found the suctioncup mount shook pretty badly until I zip tied it down. And the rear mount vibrated/clicked until I superglued the clip on section to get rid of the loose play in it. Trial and error...Just figure out what works!

Trailer spot taken by nate, but have garage space if anyones still looking.

+1!
I got the 746TE-2TS76M folding with alum. top and love it. I get a lot of people at track days asking where I got it and etc. The only problem I have found is that the stock ramp is too short for my taste and you can get bar ends hitting with two bikes on it. But for what I needed and being able to fold and tuck it away....it was well worth it!
-
Sorry it was a passing move!
-
My gf was taking pictures. I think I may actually have some of me and you side by side in the Key and back straight. I will look when I get home from work.
-
I used the suction cup mount on the tank and zip tied it down across the stabilizer. Otherwise it seemed to bounce and vibrate a lot by itself. And then put the adhesive mounts on my old clear windscreen and on on the rear plastic so it can face backwards. I wasn't really worried about the paint tbh.
-
Yeah, I made an uber hard stop Tuesday on the track to avoid hitting someone at the end of the back straight. After that it was horrendous....video: (yes..the back tire came off the ground)
After lunch it wasn't bad and I only noticed it a few minor times. But don't have the confidence in them like I had before this all went down. I have Speigler SS Lines, New Carbone Lorraine SBK5 pads that went on right before I went up. I was also looking at getting a Brembo 19mm RCS Master.

After my last track day, I have the suspicion that I may have a bent rotor. The front of the bike shakes under hard braking now. (Did some mega braking down the back stretch to avoid creaming someone) With that said…I have been trying to research for replacements, but wanted to pool the minds here on their suggestions. I was looking at Galfer Wave, ABM and Brembo’s. I am really open to suggestions though, even if it’s to stay with another set of stocks. I am running Carbone Lorraine SBK5 new front pads.

If anyone still needs garage space, I have room for it still. Only one in mine for the moment. And one spot on the trailer still up for grabs.
-
I was running 43-48
But I am looking into new rotors now as I may have hosed my current stock ones.

Sorry for the clicks. I figured out that the rear mount was clicking on the snaps up and down. I super glued it down to stop it. But this is Nate following me around the track. I was going slow for his older 600

Exactly which pads are you getting and where from for the Ferodo's? I only found them at for like $160 shipped for both calipers. But that was for the XRAC's. The ST's were around $100.
