  1. Just a question, but what is "enough bike" for you? Have you asked if your gf wants to get her MC license? How much do you ride with her on the back? If you're concerned about pull with large weights, you need a bike with big torque numbers (i.e. V twin cruiser, liter+ V twin sportbikes/nakeds). If you just want to look the part, then buy whatever looks good to you
  2. I rented a house from a couple that rode harleys, and they were always jingling down the road. For christmas they got me a bell, as it is like a protection bell. They attached them to the bottom of the forks in the front, though i forget how. I only remember thinking that I don't have the same spot to mount it on my sportbike.
  3. You gotta methodically go through the systems until you find the culprit. Sounds to me like you should start in the fuel delivery area, or check for fouled plugs since there was no filter on that bad boy. Check the fuel system, clean carbs, check spark plugs. Look for cracks in hoses and unwanted dirt or debris in things. Hopefully someone can chime in with something more specific, but thats my $.02
  4. Heli bars usually attach to the top of the triple clamps like dirtbike bars, so if your stockers have a REALLY high rise, that might lower it and still keep a decent touring position. Most people use heli bars to raise their handlebars though. The typical solution for a more aggressive position is aftermarket clip-ons, you would just have to measure the forks to get the sizing right.
  5. Spent most of my time in Q-West, hangin out in Mosul now though. Might be comin down to Al Asad sometime actually.
  6. Welcome back. Where are you at in Iraq/What unit? I'm about out of here, but it would be funny to run into an OR member overseas.
  7. you guys looking to buy a premade seat should check out this guy: http://greatdaytoride.com Hoblick got his seat done there and says its as good as those expensive aftermarket seats. He just takes your stock seat and replaces the guts for $50 bucks for just the drivers pad. I plan on sending that guy my R6 seats when I get back as I like to do 300+ mile days on the yammie.
  8. You'd never been above 6k RPM and already posted a FS thread?!? Did you at least change your mind about selling?
  9. You look devastated by the fact that you have to give that back.
  10. I don't mean to take the well deserved attention off boobs, but this always cheers me up...
  11. I'm pretty sure the newer Ducs aren't as much of a problem as the Ducs of the early 2000s and before. Plus, theres always DucRX for when it does need worked on.
  12. I would recommend putting the stock airbox back on. As for the parts, I would contact Cycle Search and see if they can hook you up. Its really just not worth spending extra money on upgrades for a 250. IMO, if I was looking to buy a 250, I would want something I can just hop on and ride, not something that I have to worry about the A/F ratio all the time.
  13. It's already your birthday here!
  14. I will be living in Dublin for the summer though, so we could probably meet up for a little jaunt. Don't know what complex, it's an old friend who has a condo.
  15. June-ish, but I don't think it would work out between us. I need something near campus, and it looks like you live in the 'burbs, plus the whole camel-love-triangle thing...too much drama.
  16. Spend a few months in Iraq and you will learn to appreciate the finer things in life...like women that you can actually stand to look at. Thanks for the bad day help. Almost as good as a CamelHug
  17. that makes me do this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VLnWf1sQkjY
  18. As a public service, I would like to say that Yota has been known to mix up his "guys", so be careful.
