Damn we were looking forward to checking out Park Ave again. Oh well...snow trails it is.
-
LOL We'll I was hoping to get that done a little sooner than that.

Just booked two rooms for the TSBR location for $139/night. The gal on the phone was like, "Oh, is this for that new thing?" My response was "Yeah, so I'm sure the price has skyrocketed!"

Hmmm....I just might be able to come to this. FINALLY!!! See you there, B.
-
Screw Georgia. Come to the rally! ousley99, that's a nice little offer you have there. There's gotta be someone that would take you up on that!
-
Thanks sonny, but gotta do the Road Race Grand Championships at MidO that weekend. Have fun and one of these days I SWEAR I will make it to one of your events!

I'll be there!!! Going down Wednesday staying until Monday bringing three of my riding buddies as well! We got a cabin at Fontana. I went last year and had fun and it wasn't all "girl power" annoying crap...just women with most bringing their guys all who love to ride sportbikes hanging out and having fun. It would be awesome to have more women from Ohio come down. There were a ton of Georgia women last year. They were all really cool, but I'd love to see more from my area come down.

Right! Like anyone couldn't predict that outcome.

I'll be there as well...probably not camping though but I will come hang out for a little bit wherever you all end up. After last year and dealing with that stupid gauntlet I'll pay the money for a hotel. That was shitty riding a golf cart through that just to get to my tent.

Man, how many times does a girl have to give a guy her number before he calls. Sheesh...
-
I met a few people the other night and it was nice meeting you. I suck with names so can't really remember. Damn, Rod I can't believe you were there and you didn't call. I was parked on the west side of QSL. The one of like four Sportbikes over there.

<<< Eagledriver's really wheels. Don't let him fool you!!!

What do you go by dog years or something?
-
Oh well that's okay then. Anything other than a Katana is an upgrade. (Just kiddin' Kat lovers!)
-
I've always wanted to go to this but have never had the chance to make it. Maybe this year...too soon to tell.

You're old!

That's just crazy talk!

Glad you had a decent ride but I still don't get why people love this road when there are so many more awesome roads that attach to that road. 78, 278, 56, 377, 550, 676 and TONS more are all right there and in far better shape than that road and a lot more fun as a result. You can find plenty of technical roads that provide ample amounts of fun without having to worry about the gravel and cinders and blind, sharp unpredictible turns like you do on that road. I rode it about four weeks ago after not riding it in four years and it reminded me of why I avoid it even now and a much better street rider. There might be a couple sections that were nice, but overall it's 95% crap. Sorry for my vent. If you don't currently have a SE Ohio specific map go to B&N and grab one, purchase a tank bag and go exploring beyond 555. You have no idea what you are missing if you have never done this.

Whaaaaaat????? My MENTOR has graced this forum with it's precense???? Holy sheet!!! Everyone please bow down to the rider who helped me overcome my hold up with not being able to drag a knee for an entire year after I started doing track days. Happened at Putnam in 2004, he passed me heading into T-6 or something (the long lefty up a slight uphill) draggin' knee so I wanted to be like him so (with all my might) hung off as far as I could to finally hear a skkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkk (or however you might spell the sound of a knee puck scraping the ground). I was so excited I had to exit the track. Hi Rod...I'm new around here too and still learning what everyone is like so no one really knows me and vice versa. I don't think I need to tell you the type of riding I like. Hehehehehe... But for everyone else I'm a twisty, track, Deals Gap kind of girl. I have my YZF for the street and SV for the track. I ride slow on the street (speed limit mostly) these days and save the fast (or what's fast for me) for the track, unless I really know the road and feel like whipping it up a notch but that's rare. Street riding (now) is more social for me than trying to ride hard and I prefer longer SE Ohio rides (2-300 miles) over anything else and most of the time the bike is parked unless that's what I'm doing. Oh and I hate 555.

No offense but that seems kind of a crazy remark especially since I have never been to TB on High nor do I ever plan to. I'm not certain what kind of rider you are or anything but there is so many things to do living here in Ohio and owning a motorcycle that I can't fathom someone saying "IF TB on campus wasn't around, I think EVERYONE in Cols would sell their bikes." We have MidO which hosts the largest fan attended AMA Superbike race (aside from Laguna but they have the GP) in the country. Hocking Hills and everything stretching to Kentucky and West Virginia is a hidden gem for riders. From the sounds of it you prefer motorcycle events right in Columbus to get you out on your bike which is fine if that's what you like to do with your ride. But I own three bikes and live in Reynoldsburg and LOVE living here in Ohio because there is so much to do. Track bike for MidO (and surrounding tracks), Supermoto bike for Circleville and my YZF for Hocking Hills. Bike night, Taco Bell and all that other hoo-ha is just fluff to get you through the week so you can go play on the weekends. Don't wait for a motorcycle event to be the reason you get out and ride...THAT is what makes riding lame! Respectfully this is only my opinion, no offense meant.

I had an AWESOME time there with my buddies and getting to see various people here and there that I've never met before and some I haven't seen in a while. Got to ride with Tera in the women's session and she's looking really good and smooth. Add a little more speed and she'll be way faster than me after only a few track days there. As for myself, I FINALLY dropped into the :40s after struggling with that :50 marker for what feels like forever. I still suck balls on the straights but it'll come I guess. Hope you all had as good of a time as we did. We came home unscathed which was awesome! Can't wait til next time!
