Great debate guys... For real Never once did I want to bash on cops.. just having fun debating over law and regulations... I did have many law classes in school and was an MP so i love a good argument!

I think Shitty pointed out the ORC for lights on a vehicle when parked on or adjacent to the road... All in all you would still have to have a great lawyer to interpret the law for a traffic violation to get out of it.. Rule #1 Leo wins Rule #2 Refer to rule number 1

There are alot of unmarked cruisers in ohio. they have to have a marked patrol actually pull you over, and they can join at the scene.. ORC 4549.13 Marking and equipment for motor vehicle used by traffic enforcement officers. Any motor vehicle used by a member of the state highway patrol or by any other peace officer, while said officer is on duty for the exclusive or main purpose of enforcing the motor vehicle or traffic laws of this state, provided the offense is punishable as a misdemeanor, shall be marked in some distinctive manner or color and shall be equipped with, but need not necessarily have in operation at all times, at least one flashing, oscillating, or rotating colored light mounted outside on top of the vehicle. The superintendent of the state highway patrol shall specify what constitutes such a distinctive marking or color for the state highway patrol.

Operation circle 270 over Memorial day weekend! Every Dept w jurisdiction on 270 helped and they split the revenue.. happens all the time. Just wait until august. if the levy fails then depts will rely almost soley on tickets and speed traps will become an everyday thing

Like I said earlier.. even though it's an ORC that they either have to have parking lights on or headlights, they win in court, and department gets there money, plus court costs now.. Might as well not even get your blood pressure up over it. At least we don't live an a state that allows unmarked patrols! My Sgt got a ticket in our Government vehicle, while we were on official government business and late for an apt that the government set for us to make even though it was impossible to get there on time going the speed limit, by an unmarked Camaro SS in Ky! He went to court and that county in Ky said F u, pay me!

Before I was an MP i had to go to court over a wreckless opp ticket. I was at an intersection and my buddy had a mustang in front of mine stopped at the stop sign. there was a cop about 5 blocks back behind us.. my buddy does a burn out all the way across the interesection. i do everything correct. get pulled over 3 blocks later bc i have the shiney roush mustang. in court the officer stated he was sitting at the intersection perpindicular from me when i did a burn out right in fron of him. i even brought my buddy to court that actually did the burn out and i ended up in content of court because i got mad that he blatently lied! thats how i think of city cops

They always have an out.. Same goes for the damn MC Patrol thats been hiding behind the bridge barrier walls with their bikes completely hidden and nothing showing but their heads over the wall.. I was an MP until 3 months ago.. They will win that argument, even though Ohio has a law against it.. Same goes for unmarked cars in Ohio..

CANCELLED! So I know almost everyone is doing the aniversary ride on Sat, but I'm sure there are a few that couldn't make it like myself... Twizted and I are down for a TWISTY ride on saturday for a few hours, anyone else? We have some really good roads in Hocking that have proven worthy several times this year already, or a Mohican ride and some back roads in Loudenville! Haven't decided which yet, but both are sweet! Wouldn't recomend this ride for beginners, but won't turn anyone away.. Probably meeting bout 11 on Sat morning to start... What's the word???
