  1. just sit on all of them, and decide which is most comfortable for you. Personally I'd stick with a fuel injected bike. There's not a real difference between them that, other than a select few on this board, are ever going to notice, so sit on them, decide which is comfortable and go from there.

I love my Suzie, it's a bigger bike, fits me well, the only thing I'd change is more distance between seat and pegs, I've got bad knees and the tightness there takes it's toll after 3-4 hours of riding. Now on the other hand, I took LPSanders CBR for a spin, the seat/peg position was okay for me, but the distance between the clip ons, and the whole bike in general felt way to narrow for me, not to mention being over 6' i could look over the front end at the forks. wasn't a big fan.

  2. yeah so I met my friends at QSL, in my truck of course since I pulled a dumbass move and broke my collar bone and busted the left clip-on,

we had a few wings BS'd for a while, waited for everyone to get there and do there thing, then after about an hour everyone headed out on there bike, i jumped in my truck and headed home while they went out on this beautifull day and I came here to fine 3 new posts...

    God this sucks. :slap:

  3. Ireland Declares War On France!!!

The French President, is sitting in his office when his telephone rings.

"Hallo, Mr. Chirac!" a heavily accented voice said. "This is Paddy down at the Harp Pub in County Clare, Ireland. I am ringing to inform you that we are officially declaring war on you!"

"Well, Paddy," Chirac replied, "This is indeed important news! How big is your army?"

"Right now," says Paddy, after a moment's calculation, "there is meself, me cousin Sean, me next door neighbour Seamus, and the entire darts team from the pub. That makes eight!"

Chirac paused. "I must tell you, Paddy, that I have 100,000 men in my army waiting to move on my command."

"Begoora!" says Paddy. "I'll have to ring you back."

Sure enough, the next day, Paddy calls again. "Mr. Chirac, the war is still on. We have managed to get us some infantry equipment!"

"And what equipment would that be Paddy?" Chirac asks.

"Well, we have two combines, a bulldozer, and Murphy's farm tractor."

Chirac sighs amused. "I must tell you, Paddy, that I have 6,000 tanks and 5,000 armored personnel carriers. Also, I have increased my army to 150,000 since we last spoke."

"Saints preserve us!" says Paddy. "I'll have to get back to you."

Sure enough, Paddy rings again the next day. "Mr. Chirac, the war is still on! We have managed to get ourselves airborne! We have modified Jackie McLaughlin's ultra-light with a couple of shotguns in the cockpit, and four boys from the Shamrock Bar have joined us as well!"

Chirac was silent for a minute and then cleared his throat. "I must tell you, Paddy, that I have 100 bombers and 200 fighter planes. My military bases are surrounded by laser-guided, surface-to-air missile sites. And since we last spoke, I have increased my army to 200,000!"

"Jesus, Mary, and Joseph!" says Paddy, "I will have to ring you back."

Sure enough, Paddy calls again the next day. "Top o' the mornin', Mr. Chirac! I am sorry to inform you that we have had to call off the war."

"Really? I am sorry to hear that," says Chirac. "Why the sudden change of heart?"

"Well," says Paddy, "we had a long chat over a few pints of Guinness, and we decided there is no fookin' way we can feed 200,000 prisoners!"

  4. Do you have a pic Tolli? I may do that, but I like the lower fairing and the SVS clip-ons. of course if I do the GSXR forks i'll need different clip ons anyways. Are there any performance differences between the two?

  5. heh, No, wow I managed to leave out a whole paragraph?

I wanted to keep that stuff if I was to part it out, but if you want to buy the whole bike your more than welcome to, saves me some hassel, but I'd like to get 2000 out of it, and as it is I don't think it's worth that, then again I'm a cheap SOB so who knows.

  6. Not really sure, was looking to get about 2-2500 out of parting it out, also wanted to keep the forks, spring and wheels for the SV since they all fit right over.

The bike really isn't THAT bad, needs a set of clip-ons, upper fairing stay, and new plastic and she'd be pretty much ready to go. the bitch is the odometer says the bike has 25k miles on it. It's WAY the hell off, guy i bought it off of had a 62 tooth sprocket on it since the day he bought it so he could "do wheelies and be cool" (yeah thats a direct quote from him when I went to save the bike, I feel I more adopted an abused bike than I did buy it because it's exactly what I wanted). Going 65 down the freeway the speedo read over 120mph so it's way the hell off.

I put a used engine in it when I bought it, Mr. Cool rode a wheelie so long he sucked the sump dry and spit out a con rod bearing. The motor I replaced it with had just over 8k miles on it when I put it in this spring, and I've put 6300 miles on it this year, just put new plugs in it to SOB runs strong.

If you want I'll wheel it outside and get some pics of it up for ya, wouldn't take but a few minutes.

  7. Yeah been doing that, having all this free time not working all week and shit. I'm 99% sure the SV1000 will be my next bike, either silver or blue. Can't wait to heal up so I can take one for a spin, They definitely seem like what I'm looking for, plus there sexy as hell, SV1000s with the upper fairing removed and an 8" headlight put in it's place, very nice.

I'm just going to part the Gixxer out. it's not worth fixing, the frame is perfect, motor is great shape with pretty low miles, there's alot I can sell off of it and make more money than if i fixed the damn thing and sold it like that i'd be lucky to break even with what it'd take to fix it. I've got this nasty bad habit of not being able to sell something unless it's perfect.

  8. SV's are fantastic machines... I'd totally rock one in a heartbeat. Re-work the forks, or do the GSXR front end and do something with the shock... and they are KILLER.

so i could just keep my GSXR forks and swap them out?

  9. no i've only dropped it 3 times

i wasn't going fast at all. stopped at an intersection. made sure it was all clear, my friend pullrd out, i followed suit. hell i prob didn't even have the clutch out fully yet.

this pecking at the keyboard with one hand is really old already :(

  10. well, a few of my friends and i were going to ride since the days are getting few, pulled out of my mothers where I keep my bike since i don;t have a garage, went 50 yards to next intersection, my friend turned left, seconds later i did the same. bike spun out, did a 360 i got thrown off and broke my collar bone. wonderfull.

left clip on and clutch lever are phuked, upper fairing stay too. plastic has been for a while. also thats the 4th damn windscreen I've put on that phukin bike!

    later.

  11. Killing someone because they ran from the police is probably the most ridiculous thing I ever heard on this site. I'm glad no one died and made you boss.

Me too, however if someone holds up a bank, they chase the guy through down town and that asshole hits and kills your wife/family while fleeing, I'm sure you'd think otherwise. Oh wait, no you wouldn't, it was simply a bad decision. Everyone makes them.

    call it preventative maintenance.
