  1. If it is a take-off, I am willing to part, but honestly, I really want to sell in sets... I will not be at Beaver...
  2. Relationship with KTM and they offered me a killer deal and wanted me in the Lops. I can't pass it up...
  3. Two tweaks and a solid grunt are free!! Great deal, though. As stated, you need to store them in a case to protect them, etc. Most people don't...
  4. Ok, I am switching to Dunlops for the remainder of the season and hopefully for the future. That being said, I have a basement FULL of Michelin race tires. ALL ARE NEW and a few used sets... **ALL TIRES ARE 120 FRONTS AND 190/55 REARS!! NEW SETS: Power One Race Fronts: QTY (1) "A" Compound. Great sprint tire QTY (3) "V" Front. One of the best fronts I have ever ridden on... Power One Race Rears: QTY (2) "A" Compound. Softest compound, but lasts a LOOOONG time. QTY (2) "B" Compound. Medium compound - best choice for everything. QTY (2) "C" Compound. Harder compound for longer life. Power Race Rears (Previous generation race to the Power One - BETTER in my opinion...) QTY (3) "E" Compound. Harder compound for longer life. Here's what I propose as I am not sure how to price these... QTY (1) Power One front and QTY (1) Power One rear - UPDATED PRICE - $275 QTY (1) Power One front and QTY (1) Power Race rear - UPDATED PRICE - $200 QTY (1) Power One front and QTY (1) Power One rear and QTY (1) Power Race - UPDATED PRICE - $275 QTY (1) Power One front and QTY (2) Power Race rears - UPDATED PRICE - $260 There may be different deals based on QTY you buy also... Want them all? I will make you a SMOKIN deal... USED TAKE-OFFS: QTY (3) Power One "V" Fronts. Low use - still shows wear marks. QTY (1) Power One "B" Rear. Medium Compound. EXCELLENT shape and wear marks still showing. QTY (2) Power One "C" Rears. Harder compound for longer life. Wear marks still showing. QTY (1) Power Race "E" Rear. BEAUTIFUL SHAPE!! I was thinking that since the tires are almost set to set, do the following: QTY (1) Power One "V" front with QTY (1) Power One "C" rear - UPDATED PRICE - $125 QTY (1) Power One "V" front with QTY (1) Power One "B" rear and QTY (1) Power Race "E" rear - UPDATED PRICE - $150 That would equal out to (3) available sets... I will be at the Mid-Ohio Twilight event and through Columbus often. I am out of town next weekend and through mid-week after. First come, first served, but these prices are legit and the best you will find. ALL have been in the basement in storage in room temps and are all in perfect shape - even the take offs.
  5. It would help the cause if there was a date this event is and a cost if you meet the number of bikes needed... If you can advertise the date and time, I can probably get a few more guys...
  6. PEMDAS. Parenthesis - none Exponents - none Multiply - do first Division - none Add - next Subtract - final
  7. Bazaaz'a unit is awesome. Like the others, you can program how long the delay is. I am experimenting on the RC8R right now with a USB stand alone unit for possible catalog part entry. It has worked flawlessly. In fact, it works better than the KLS unit that comes with the bike as you have more ability to tune it in to your desired wants...
  8. You are correct as to how it works. But, for racing or track days and even drag racing, that minimal amount of grabbing and pulling in the lever is time added. You eliminate that with a QS. Just using your foot with wide open throttle is knocking off time (even though VERY minimal, but add that up each lap! ) each and every lap/pass... Again, it is not designed for the street guy but rather a race application...
  9. Also, the idea on a QS is to gain that thousandths of a second on each up shift. You really need to be running full throttle and high RPMs to benefit. Otherwise, it is such a waste and better to put funds towards other more important things. Now, you track it at all (drag or road race) and you are totally cool not go and again, shouldn't judge. Just saying to the kids out there considering this bolt on piece, it isn't worth it for street use... Rather, never designed for street use...
  10. Whoa... As for street, you are right on the suspension... Stock stuff is pretty damn good nowadays. QS is no different than putting anything else on your bike for street use - it is user preference and we shouldn't judge. That being said, if you honestly think a QS ranks higher than aftermarket suspension components (Do both together - stock front and aftermarket rear is like buying 1 high performance tire for your Porsche and 3 skinny no name tires and hoping it all works out...), you are well off base. I mean that in the most friendly way possible, but at the track, more time will be dropped with better suspension than a QS or exhaust, etc... You can run faster on a stock bike with great suspension than the same bike with a bad ass exhaust, PC, QS, race tires, Supersport Engine build, trick and lightweight parts, etc and OEM/stock suspension...
  11. Fork internals and rear shock should be priority number1. However, that being said, regarding the topic - if tracking this bike only, yes - go with a QS unit. You'll never understand why you ever were riding w/o one. If street riding, it is a complete waste of money...
  12. So what will you be doing for RD?
  13. Here is some info we got so that you can follow updates and send well wishes... Go to the following site: www.caringbridge.org Next, you will see to the right that it asks for the website. Enter jeffkljun (all one word) and hit enter. It will ask for your email and a password you will need to use. Once you do all of that, you will see the updates and can send well wishes directly to the family and Jeff. If you all belong to any other websites where there are folks that know Jeff, maybe pass the info along.
  14. I am planning on doing some. Pretty fast guys in the expert division for sure...
  15. I am running the Knox Aegis Race right now and am blown away with fit and feel. Many guys like the Knox Contour also. I run a Knox chest protector as well... The reason for the Knox for me is that I get the comfort and the coverage on the tail bone I desire. Great stuff and STG is the best pricing...
  16. We were all thinking of you at the track yesterday. It was a weird deal for me. I lost a good friend at Putnam back in 97 and it felt similar. But, as I told R1, we all need to ride for a few reasons. One, it is like falling off a horse. If we sit and let it build up and prolong getting back to the track, we will never go back and we will never ride like we have again. Two, I think Jeff would kick our asses if he knew we were all sitting and not riding... This is a great sport and we all know the risks. Some more than others as some are new and haven't been around it a lot. But, this typo of thing occurs and we as a riding family will always be there for Jeff and others. He's in the best and most capable hands. Here's best wishes on them doing the best they can and him getting a leap on a speedy recovery. Jeff, if you need anything, just shout.
  17. I was happy to see R1 show. This is a great sport with great people. I understood where your heart was - hell, I wasn't really into it Tuesday after everything happened... But, you came out, had a good time and sounds like you'll be back. Come hang out as much as you want. We don't judge and we certainly don't act above everyone. You saw how we all act - like a bunch of kids!! It's great - well, when they aren't being mean with their mean comments! Dub - as always, I am here to help anyone. Not an instructor at Mid-O, but I can go out and help anyone at any time if you'd like. I love it and the end result was what I was shooting for. Times are based on a lot of factors, but the biggest hurdle is the line choice there. The speed, braking and throttle are things that will come with time and confidence. The line choice is something that should be learned right away and practiced overtime, all the time. Tell your dad he looked great out there. He was really riding well. Cool to see a father/son out there... Everyone else - hope you come by and say "hey".
  18. Like I mentioned in his thread - you still should come. Someone will treat you well. If you need a pit area, stop by my trailer (truck is gone) and you can put your canopy up there and be close to the instructors. Or, go over to garage #1 and talk to the guys and see if they will help you out. Tell them you were there to be with Jeff and work with him and they will sort you out.
  19. Guys, he was alert and attentive. He didn't get knocked out from what we know. He was loopy, but he has seriously injured. The thing that really bothers me is that he and I were somewhat oil and water. I said some stupid shit and after talking with him, realized he was a good guy and I just sit here feeling I was too harsh and it is bullshit. He's a great guy and needs positive thoughts.
  20. I would think Jeff would want you to still come. I am having a tough time also. It really changed the mood for sure, but we need to be there for him and be as positive as we can. The fact is that we cannot do much for Jeff as the people taking care of him are best suited. However, we can all stick together and send positive thoughts and well wishes his way. Come on up. I'll be there after lunch...
  21. No real details at this time in respect for Jeff and his family, but Jeff had a pretty bad crash today at Mid-Ohio. I know he is well known by many of you here and thought this might be a chance to send some prayers and well wishes his way. I will see if I am allowed to post info tomorrow. But, it was pretty bad and he can use the support right now.
  22. I'm baller and have people tie my shoes and peel my bananas for me. Bitches.
  23. Glad you had a great time. Saw Bart there and wished you guys stopped by to say "hey", but knew it was busy for everyone. We couldn't do it without you guys as customers and the Mid-Ohio staff and instructors. We are really glad when the days are like yesterday and the weather is beautiful and works with us. We also had a few get offs, but every one was minor at best. Great day and we look forward to the remaining events. Thanks for supporting us and Mid-Ohio!
  24. Oh, and Florida - one of the states that is the toughest ion drug busts via the highway systems - guess what? No front plates... Troopers can run a plate far easier from behind the vehicle than from the front...
