Scorpion pending. Nobody interested in two HJCs or a great deal on a woman's AGV?
-
Isn't it an ex-team bike? That might add to the sale. Bump for a SUPER clean bike!
-
Just get a set from an SV. If you are a serious SUMO rider, get race tires. But, if casual or trying it out, street tires work fine. You have a 5" rear wheel or smaller/bigger?

Maybe this is a great example of why someone should not be providing these links for us to follow.

Bump. Scorpion and AGV are back up for sale!

Splits are easy. Look down in the segments you are in. At Nelson, look down as you exit the last turn, look down on the exit of 4, look at the exit of the carousel, out of the kink, etc... You should have a time base at each of those segments... Watching as you are passing is going to hinder you on the track. You need to work on traffic management and not looking at a timer. My feelings are that only advanced riders or racers should even use lap timers. I think if you are to use one, it should be stored out of sight. Looking at it in the areas you mention are slowing you down and causing you to try and hit a set time. Ride with the idea that you need to work on things, better yourself and work the traffic. Also to be smooth and learn where you are weak and at what points of the track those are. Looking at a timer does nothing but force you to take your eyes off what is important and will also possibly push you into something bad. Hide it, look at it after the session and relive the laps and see what you were doing that slowed you down or made you better...

The problem with the list is that there are 5 things that are all the same - Rides beyond their ability. #2,3,7 and 8 are all the same thing. Arguably, #1 falls into that also... It all boils down to ability. I always use a cup of water as an example. The water is reserve. The less reserve you have, the more likely a crash. Through rider experience, you obviously build ability, but also that reserve. One guy riding at 60% can easily be another guy's 95%. 40% vs 5% reserve is a big deal when shit hits the fan. Thus, when all you guys get on my ass about track day riding - it helps build up that reserve to make things slow down and come at you with less velocity. It also enhances your ability to react quickly and calmly to avoid issue... #2 is the #1 and it covers 90% of that list.

Unless working on segments or race prep for a set track, lap timers are a bit of a waste of money. If you want one to see how you are doing, just spend the minimal amount needed. The XT is great for that. Look at Zemke in the 200 - using the trusty ol' XT! It's simply to use as a segment checking device and to see where you are in terms of where you should be - especially in track day environments. If racing, same thing... The transponders they require are the most accurate and easiest to read on a sheet. Lap timers are more for dick swinging contests amongst friends. As for the quirks, I have never experienced any. The storage is more than adequate unless again... You want to store everything for showing off. There's no reason to keep anything anyways. Write the times down in your notes to reference at a later date. I keep mine rolling and if the thing fills, I delete. Then again, I am pretty lazy... Usually you never need a beacon as there are usually numerous people that have one. Just make sure it is someone that is going to ride all day.

Only a few left. Make offers. Otherwise, these are going to Mid-Ohio if they can use them with suit rentals or on the KTM truck. -

No worries, man. Wish it was the day before as I had a little more time. We were working with dealers and working on orders, etc... It was tough to get away. Nice to meet you also. Stop by at some point during the year and chat. Hopefully, it will be less hectic.

Why not contact Bazaaz themselves and let them know you are a shop that specializes in dyno tuning... You could easily go direct to the Dynojet and Bazaaz guys and provide the equipment to your customers...

Really cool and awesome bike control. However, HOW THE HECK DO YOU REMEMBER THE COURSE?? Holy shit, that would be half the battle!!

Dude, is that murdered out? Me likey!!! Reminds me of a certain bike I was running last year... Uploaded with ImageShack.us -
Bet that thing handles like a dream. You know the one... Right before you fall off a cliff and pee your pants... Why... Why do people do this? I can understand a disabled person who loves sportbikes. But, outside that? Wow. That being said, it is kinda cool. Not enough to buy, but I like the detail.

I have yet to see any men say they do not want to share a track with female riders, either. That may have been a bit of an exaggeration. However, the real idea is that women are a VERY small % of the demographic for this sport. It is male dominated and is slowly, but surely a place where some really talented women racers and riders can come to feel less intimidated. The feeling for some women is that because it is so male oriented, they tend to shy away or never try it out. Discounts are a way to add a little incentive to give it a try. There is no need to incentivize men as they are over 95% of our customers. However, look at it this way. If you were a guy that didn't have cable and wanted to get it, you can get a discount for being a new customer. However, if you already have cable, the offer does not apply to you. Make sense? It's an effort to garnish new customers and the women's market is a such target. Oh, and to JRMii's silly post - I can guarantee I can show you at least a few female riders that would disagree with your post and actually, could teach you a few things to make you a better rider. This sport is no different than any other one out there. Women are an underdog, but there are great examples of really talented women doing what a lot of their male counter parts cannot. Even though it is a male dominated sport...

Discount day at Nelson for Ohio Riders - April 16 2011

Cool. I figured I would help out OR members by trying to get a few guys to come as the more you all get, the better the price. I don't believe they need a membership to practice, correct? So, $105 if 10 riders. What is it for more? Suggestion would be to post on Assfault's site also as MotoSeries is actually a sponsor on that site. They would most certainly have an interest. Just a suggestion and before anyone reads some BS into this, it is in an effort to get more people to come. Nothing more. I just need some track time. -

You are an instructor now Nick??? -
Yeah, kind of was worried about going out in Intermediate and pissing anyone off, but Dan just simply told me to play nice so, I left late and tried to be gentle on you guys. That tire was SMOKED!! But, had to play test monkey and try some parts... That Expert class was crazy. Felt like a race day practice, but without the racebike!
-
Good seeing you guys down there. It was a fun day. 4 sessions total for me, but had a great time. Track is freaking AWESOME and certainly a track I will be visiting more... Our group was freakin FAAAAST!!
