  1. Considering it is worth $4200-$4500 when Spring arrives, probably nobody...
  2. Like I said, I was willing to pay him cold cash with just the one photo. He declined, but when I asked about a lien, I was off teh radar. AND, if someone goes and looks at it and declines and someone here is next, that's fishy...
  3. So, I blasted him with text messages. Told me he was answering people in order. I asked him my spot? I was suppoesdly #3. I then asked him about the title if it had a lien. He had sent 3-4 texts with me until I asked that. Then... Silence. I told him I would buy it sight unseen if as described. He, I guess figures that waiting until a few days to let someone look at it is a better idea. I never understood people that apparently are giving shit away, but don't want the money when it is shown in their face. I'll keep watching this thread, but I think I smell a kid with a bike that has a lien on it and doesn't know what he is doing.
  4. While I agree a lot blur the lines, my point was that the DRZs, XRs, etc are NOT supermoto bikes. Slapping 17" wheels on an off road bike doesn't make it a supermoto... Especially the crack heads thinking the V-Strom is... I kid about the crack head comment...
  5. I think it is funny when guys think a DS bike is the same class as a supermoto bike. If you want an XR, KLX, DRZ, etc. , you aren't buying supermoto bikes. Supermoto is an MX based machine that is race oriented in design. Not a couch with too soft suspension and a weezer motor. If you want a supermoto, buy a supermoto. If you want a DS bike, not even close to the same thing. Even if you swap hoops for 17s...
  6. So, legit or what? If someone knows a guy that is selling this, maybe give us a heads up on details. Clean title can simply mean it isn't salvage. Doesn't always mean it is free of a lien. I'm thinking this is a scam or something where it isn't what it seems. Guy needs money bad and so far, there are 3-4 people just right here with cash in hand. Probably had no clue what he should ask and is backing out.
  7. Apparently doesn't do texts. Too bad. Anyways, I fly out this morning and couldn't get it. I am leery about the deal, but I tried. Funny how people gotta give their stuff away, but are less than energetic to complete the sale...
  8. Everything you are asking for is either going to be found in a MUCH slower and less than capable Sumo style machine. Wide comfy seat, lower seat height, larger fuel capacity, etc are all anti-descriptors for a Sumo machine. That being said, you can get extended range fuel tanks for almost every MX based platform nowadays. So, you can get more fuel range. Seat is going to be an issue along with height. TRUE supermoto machines are designed to be jumped. Something with a lower seat height will be something in what we call play bike range or very much a weever bike that you will NOT enjoy. Wind protection? Buy a Goldwing.
  9. I have cash in hand. If it is $3500 and that many miles, PM me the info and I will buy it asap.
  10. By the way, guys... It costs about $30 to ship your forks - if that much. Get a couple of FedEx triangular boxes, some bubble wrap and tape the boxes together. Works like a peach and very secure. Cheap cost to get them done by a professional with professional training and race proven results. There is nobody else in our region that has taken these courses, by the way...
  11. Go with Reuben Frankenfield in Indy. He is certified and has done many high end racer forks and shocks. In fact, he was one of very few that has been getting updated training with Ohlins direct. He is only $30 more than the linked price, but is local and can get it back to you sooner. Plus, his results are MUCH more positive... His number is 317-850-3884. He is also a board sponsor... And will provide a discount to OR members. His website is www.35motorsports.com Tell him I sent you.
  12. These guys appear to be die-cut only... Will check though - thanks for the lead! Would like someone closer, though...
  13. And, no need for vectors on this stuff since it only needs to be printed and cut along the outside edge. Vector stuff is more die-cut anymore...
  14. Tried him, but haven't heard a peep back. Sent two emails with artwork and no response... He was my first choice. But, if he doesn't get back soon, I need another option...
  15. My guy that usually does my decals has seemingly fell off the earth. So, I need to get both race bikes some decals made. NOT die-cut. I need them to be printed and outside edge cut only. Somewhat thicker mil, also. Anyone know of a good person to talk to?
  16. Not to be a downer, but realistically, the shock is worth maybe $25... Unless you can find a guy needing it for a conversion application, $100 is way too high...
  17. It is 4x4 and was told it isn't that easy. Are they BSing me? It's just surface rust as of now and certainly not at a point where you can poke a hole in it with a finger... Just is bubbled slightly...
  18. Again... THE PAN IS NOT LEAKING! It is coming from typical oil seepage from these trucks. mostly out the breather... Down from the rear main seal... It isn't losing oil, it isn't burning oil, etc...
  19. Yup and guess what? Only started AFTER the 100k warranty... Of course...
  20. I think $12k is probably the lowest I would get out of it. Lower miles, is a 7.3 vs the shit pile 6.0 and 6.4s... As for the pan, I know the cost as I had it done on the other one. This one is not bad at all. In fact, it is just surface at this stage...
  21. Alright... Thinking of selling my beloved F350. Hate to even consider it, but honestly, I am thinking of getting something new after having this guy for so long. It's been a GREAT truck and the only real reason I have kept it was because it has been so dependable and quite frankly, Ford and the newer diesels have been scary... Specs: -1999.5 - Yes, the 99.5s were completely different than the 99s. Rotors, airbox, etc. When you go to buy parts, you have to tell them MY 2000 vs 1999... -@170k -Powerstroke 7.3 XLT -Dually -Tow Package -Off Road PAckage -4x4 -Long (8') bed -4 door -Cloth interior -Automatic EXTRAS: -Updated headlights and mirrors (Telescopic) -KMC Rockstar Matte Black wheels -BF Goodrich A/T KOs -Sunroof -Full 5" exhaust (turbo back) -Larger Turbo housing -High Performance Turbo impeller -Silicone hoses -3 Stage Chip - 40hp/100hp/150hp -Gauges Tinted windows CUSTOM PAINT JOB. NO DECALS!! This was painted by TAOD Design who paints for notable Power Boat companies like Cigarette, etc. This would cost you north of $10k to have done. Is all paint - not a single decal and cleared over. The white is not even OEM Ford - it is a Pearl White. NEWER MAINTENANCE: -New rear rotors and brake pads (2010) -New Carrier Bearing (2011) -New Front hub bearings, brake pads and rotors (2010) Overall, at 170k, this thing is running like a top. My last 7.3 got me just a click under 300k before I sold it to a buddy who has it still today and runs great. We take really good care of the trucks - change the oil (Rotella), fuel filter, oil filter, coolant additive, etc regularly. It has some scratches, a little rust under the doors (typical Ford Powerstroke) and some rust at the bottom of the rear gate (Again, typical Ford PS). Under side is really good as it doesn't get driven in winter much if at all. Probably close to 1000 miles in 11 years... Oil pan has some rust and leaks slightly some oil, but all VERY common and VERY typical of these year 7.3 PS trucks. Anyone that has one that isn't, is steam cleaning or painting underneath to cover shit up. Haven't found one that doesn't have the exact same issues... Thinking $14k OBO. I will take some regular pics as soon as it gets nicer out. It is pretty filthy as I do not typically drive it in winter, but had the carrier bearing replaced this weekend and it got pretty slimy looking. Here are some pics: With the paint job just finished: Uploaded with ImageShack.us Uploaded with ImageShack.us As it sits with the KMC wheels. The above pic wheels are long gone... Uploaded with ImageShack.us
  22. Nope. Your spring was the shorter one, remember? Same weight though, I think. Maybe was a 450...
  23. Putnam damp is sketchy. Putnam full wet is fine. With rain tires of course. If you had DOT race tires, they probably were sketchy... But, Putnam is good.
  24. Plus, shipping would be like $8...
