  1. In this case, the rider (good or bad) is equal for each bike. The GSXR is going to be better. But for pure straight line, Busa or ZX14 is a better choice.
  2. You'll have to wait until Spring and when I get the bikes put back together... But, they are gonna look SWEEEEET! You've seen pics of the GSXR so, not much different other than wheel color and decals. The RC8R is going to be baller... I'm probably not going to want to take it on the track!
  3. He does it all. He's doing a solid paint scheme on my GSXR and a badass paint job on my RC8R... I won't have anyone else do my stuff...
  4. I would call guys at Ohlins and ask for brian stokes's brother and see if he can source what brian did. I am almost certain it was an arrow. Don't go to the cookie cutter sites like gixxer.com and cbr whatever. I wouldn't go to them for sources on performance tips on bikes. Call a reputable source and see what they say. He'll, even guys like KRW have probably dynod them and can tell you best.
  5. I'd suggest Arrow as they have been working heavily with WSBK or the Akra...
  6. New units, the OEMs will take it back or find a dealer willing to buy it. Used stuff will be auction. Ohio isn't a buy back state if it is shown that they violated the dealer agreement. If they violated anything, Honda, Yamaha and Suzuki are not obligated to take units back. However, if they owe those OEMs, a lot of times, they will take back units and even OEM parts to satisfy that debt or a portion... I suspect that you will see an auction for the used stuff, shop stuff, parts that are not OEM, etc. Most of the time, though the owner will line up stuff with other dealers and work on getting rid of the good stuff before auction.
  7. I don't, either. But, look at it this way - you can buy a set for $500 and they should last years!! It's not like it is going to stop getting cold enough for this in Ohio anytime soon!
  8. I didn't, but again, a longer wheelbase is going to provide easier control. I think a standard wheelbase is a showcase for better control by the rider. Same with drag racing.
  9. I believe that Teach was the first guy to really start doing the drifting. We watched him when he was on Hondas and he was really impressive to watch. We watched a stunt show he and the team he was with did for our company and I could have watched him do drifting on the bike a million times over the other stuff. It's an element that really is about control and rider ability. The wheelies and stoppies are cool too, but lack that element. Well, lacks what other people can do with little time in the saddle. Drifting and riding with the back end out is an art and very tough to learn and master.
  10. I thought the colors were badass also. New color scheme for next year? Hmmmm??? I went Sinner on my new GSXR. I just thought about you so much that I wanted to feel like I was with you when riding my cycle.
  11. On the fence with the drifting thing. As for the cars, I know it takes skill and all, but it isn't racing. I know I will get flamed on that. The bike? I have always thought that the stunt guys that were doing drifts were awesome. It takes serious throttle control and body control to do it at that RPM and in the manner they do it. Certainly WAY more skill than it takes to do the car thing. A person can practice the same amount of time on both and be better in the car than the bike. It comes to the rider more than the machine with a bike... Same in racing. But, the extended swingarm sorta took it down a notch for me. It's going to be more stable and more controllable than the regular OEM length. I would like to watch him do it on a standard length ZX10 as I have seen these guys do. To me, it would be more impressive. However, I believe that they did it this way because the control factor and being around a car. In the end, the reason I am on the fence is that if you went around that track like a road racer would, you'd smoke them both no matter if you were in a car or on a bike... I just am not sold on drifting. Cool to watch - especially when they add cinematic to the mix, but after a short bit, it becomes rather boring... One funny note is the ZX10 had fork tube extenders on. Funny because it is lowered and had a lengthened swingarm...
  12. Must have been something more to that story as if you are drinking on your own property, that is perfectly fine. Now, if he was mowing and on the road for some reason or on State property, he can get nailed... Had to be something like he was being an idiot and neighbors called the cops or something... We had guys getting nailed for DUI after being stopped for riding on the county roads. When pulled over, they were drunk and the Sheriff cited them and they ended up getting license suspensions. They will tie the offense to your driving record whether on horse, quad, bicycle, etc... I think it has to be on a mode of transportation if I remember correctly...
  13. Special Ed, maybe... But hey, what do we guys know, right? We just ride tards around a go kart track... Like little kids. "I don't wanna grow up, I'm a Toys r Us kid..." Paul- Check your email and texts. Goober. Parks - You're just a goob, but you coming to Buckeye one of these days? I am waiting on a set of tires...
  14. In fact, guys are running wider than 160 with the 5 inch wheels...
  15. On his bike? dunno... Everything i have ever raced since 2004, they do... I have a 160 on mine as we sit here...
  16. Your going to want to run as big a tire as you can. 160s are the most common. Smaller is tougher to get along with on any track. Most guys are running the smaller tires on more narrow/older rims... CRP is a sick track and really, better than any road race course with these bikes. They just aren't going to be any fun at a full size course. Beaver is cool. A little more open, but not much and not as technical for the big bikes as CRP. Camden - I have yet to ride there. The Junkie guys do and seemingly have a big group that does down there. I plan on it when the weather breaks. Finally, as for power... You are probably wanting to just avoid the dyno. The new 4 strokes are going to be big power vs your bike. Even if you slapped a 280 or similar kit on it... Plus, 4 strokes are easier to motored. Just food for thought, but in the end, you got a bike and check Ebay for wheels or Supermotojunkie.com for some. Used, you shouldn't pay more than $500 with rotors. That would be the wider rears, also...
  17. There is - it's just winter and the only thing you can do is trail stuff. Crow Canyon still runs people through the trails - all the way through winter. Bighorn is an indoor, but more suited to minis vs big bikes - ramjet would be a better choice in Cleveland. Buckeye Lake for ice racing is a great idea also... Loads of choices when Spring hits. Unlike SoCal, we have seasons...
  18. If I jailbreak, you are saying that there is an app that allows free wi-fi hot spot from my ATT phone? Or, are you referring to tethering? The way I understand it, the Verizon phone will be a mobile Wi-Fi device, also like what they currently are using. Maybe I read that wrong, but the idea of tethering isn't attractive to me as I can get better results with Wi-Fi vs. Edge or even low signal 3G which is common is a lot of places still. I worry about the 4G thing also. I mean, ATT is still tough to find a 3G spot. For example, around here, Verizon is 3G, but ATT is still on Edge. What advantage is it for me to stick with ATT even if they get the 4G up and running when they don't have good 3G coverage??
  19. I'm mixed on it. I actually have a work phone on Verizon and my personal phone on ATT. My ATT phone is the iPhone 4 and I LOVE it! The BB on Verizon is a pile of shit and I hate it tremendously. The up side is I can switch to one phone. Downside is the fact that I cannot do more than one thing at a time. That's a big bummer on my end... But, I like the hot spot application for use with my other devices. ATT should have this...
  20. Thanks for validating my point.
  21. Doubt that would make him better at shifting gears... Why the hate from you?
