  2. True on the motor. However... the suspension, chasis and such are not the same whatsoever... You really need to try a 505 SXF ATV and decide. I think you'll feel the same as the two Outlaw riders we let demo ride them...

  5. Better get to Troy before end of the year. Closing doors after... Southern Honda has killer deals, but you need to go way south to TN to get them and that drive back and forth is worth something. Honda East is probably the best bet for sure. All for Honda of course...
  6. I can find a hell of a deal on a new KTM 450 or 505 SX quad. Probably close to $3k pluss off retail... When compared to the others, we have all the add-ons that you will need beyond stock. Plus, we are faster!

  8. I don't have a temper. Ask anyone from here that have met me. I do however, hate when someone comes on and states he's 140 mph sideways, passing cars in inches of snow, telling us how much ability he has and how much he out rides everything, and how much ability he has due to his VAST experience in riding dirtbikes, and finally stated he raced AMA in MX... The bottom line is that if you are going to come onto a public forum and tout all these things in either an effort to draw attention to yourself (my thoughts) or simply to cause a stir, you need to be ready to take the responses. As even stated by friends of yours or people who have ridden with you, your ego is WAAAAAY faster and better a rider than you really are. You really need to let the ego slow down a lot and let reality catch up. Once that happens, maybe things will change. Personally, I don't care at all. You can crash your gourd out and splatter yourself all over the freeway if you are acting as you do. But, your arrogance and ego are so far larger than what you are going to be able to cash in. Think about that...
  9. Hey ass nugget - try reading and UNDERSTANDING what I was saying... The race thing was to point out that we rode when there were inches on snow on the G-R-O-U-N-D. That spells ground in case you missed it... Meaning, the track was W-E-T. Again, like running in the rain. Wet pavement isn't inches of snow on the road, idiot. My second point was to take a pic AFTER you rode it to work or wherever you did... Tells us you actually did it and not to get attention like the attention whore you seem to be. My reasoning is that I really doubt you are out there passing cars IF and this is a BIG if, if there was any snow on the actual streets. The parking lot doesn't count. The trucks were out and the roads were wet. Like I tried to relate to you by stating the race at Grattan. Get over yourself and do us all a favor - come up to Mid-Ohio or another track and show us what you REALLY have in terms of ability. Then, you can shut us all up and we will make it known you are as good as your diarrhea mouths lets on you to be... Until that time, shut up and PLEASE try and consider the rest of the world when you waste all of our collective time...

Well, unemployment is sitting the same or getting higher and the people on unemployment are getting extensions and sitting at home after adapting to spending habits and maybe even losing a lot of things, but are happy to be getting what they get and are lazy and not willing to get a new job. There was an article where a guy in Indiana had a paper plant and needed to hire 10 new employees as business was picking up. He put out ads and had a lot of people come interview. However, he had a problem getting FT employees because a bunch (most) were coming in to get their paperwork signed to show they were "looking for a job". He told them that he was hiring and they just wanted the stuff signed. That's lazy and that's ridiculous. It isn't saying everyone is... Everyone understand that... But, the whole buying stuff in China is becoming somewhat of a tiring topic. Things are not built here for the simple fact of cost and what we as Americans are willing to spend. The cost of an American company to build the same thing as built in China is much higher and takes longer to produce. Call it a curse of sorts, but the fact is that even American companies are building a lot of their stuff in China and elsewhere overseas... The Gov't making money off you as a "business" is silly. There needs to b a difference. Read my comment on the guy with a dually trailering for fun and the guy trailering with a dually hauling stuff for work. There needs to be a difference and I feel there needs to be more paid by the business guy. He should have to abide by higher standards than the other guy...
  11. Ridin in snow like what CBus had yesterday isn't riding in snow that is 2" plus on the streets. I've raced at Grattan and there was snow on the ground that you couldn't see the grass... We had to wait to start and used cars to try and get the track to wet vs. sitting snow. Wet streets with snow on the ground is no different than rain riding. Sitting snow of 2" or more on the ground is a totally different deal... If you rode yesterday, that's nothing to brag about...
  12. Plus, why don't you show us a pic of you at the work place after a ride in 2" snow. That pic was simply a bike pushed into the parking space in the snow... You're pretty stupid to be thinking one, that a sportbike handles the same as a dirtbike does in snow. All your weight on the front wheel. Takes split seconds to cause that front wheel to spit out from under you. Sure, it is cool that some guys are riding in snow. 2" is stupid. Unless you are DS riding or similar where theyre using deep lugged tires or are on ground using studded tires, etc. I've been on a DS bike on the street with snow and it was a whole lotta fun. But, to ride in normal traffic in 2" of snow? You're an idiot...
  13. True. But, the issue is that you need to draw a line. Where is it drawn at? A certain amount earned per year? A certain number of employees? A certain amount of customers? So, if the guy that cuts grass and has 5 employees is held to a lower standard than the guy that has built his business, paid his dues and has grown to a business that has 50 employees, has multiple trucks, pays for a lot to have those employees, etc, but pays more than the "little" or in this example, "littler" guy, what makes him not create two smaller companies and divide the business into two and drop down to a better bracket of pay outs? If profits aren't there and you are struggling to survive, then maybe the business isn't a right fit? The great thing about the US is the ability to start up a SMALL business and start making money on your own. The PROBLEM with the US is the ability to start up a small business and start making money on your own. In my business, we see a LOT of start up shops that THINK they can go out and simply start making money. They give shit away at 10% or even 20% above dealer cost. As they run for a period of maybe three years doing that formula, year one, they see $500k in sales, but spending $450k to $400k and leaving $50-$100k to pay bills, pay themselves, pay for even maybe an employee that helps. Year two, they increase sales to $750k and are still pulling minimal amounts of money. Year three, they realize they cannot afford to keep doing it and fold. If the profits aren't there, you have to realize that it isn't going to work. When they start, they have sugar plums in their heads and THINK making $50-$100k a year is GREAT. Until they add up the rent, the electric bill, the shipping, the office supplies, the ONE employee they can only afford, the business license, etc... After they pay all that, they are earning $5k a year... Rules need to be in place. Look, you have a 1 ton dually or SRW? You are paying less than the guys that have 15 of the same trucks or has multiple Dump trucks or cargo style trucks, etc. It's fair. Ohio selling out for $? Sure, they need $ coming in and if the amount of start up businesses are increasing (I suspect they are with the number of unemployed, etc.), then they need to consider increasing fees. Call it supply and demand, but I prefer to call it controlling the sector of people that are coming out of the woodwork and the guys that are established and doing it right getting undercut.

  15. My other bike is a full suspended Chumba XCL. This is considered a boutique style bike that is essentially always sold as a frame and then built to your specs and desired components. I got a 29er HT and I rarely ever rode this after. This is as close to new as you can get. Check out MTBR.com for reviews. This bike is awesome and can do pretty much anything. If you built this with these components, it would b over double what I am asking. But, due to a few out there, I have to get aggressive on selling it. I am getting a Niner Jet 9 and thus, I don't need both bikes... $1600!! 2009 Chumba XCL All Mountain bike. This is a heavy duty, full suspended bike that can take some hits, but still be composed enough for trail use. Not full XC and not at all full DH... The way it is built is somewhat a bit heavy. If you are looking for a solid bike that is built really well with higher end components but cannot afford the $220-$2500 price tag, here's the bike for you! $1500 now!! 2009 Gary Fisher Paragon 29er. Started as a frame only and I built it back up to b better than stock. All components other than frame and fork were new 2010 components. You can tell in the pics... SIZE LARGE! -2009 Paragon frame - Yes, NO CRACKS!! -2009 G2 Fox Fork -2010 Velocity Blunt wheels. White spokes, red nipples and laced to Velocity's light weight hubs. -2010 SRAM X9 front to back - Shifters, front and rear derailleurs -2010 Truvativ Team Style crankset -2010 Truvativ Team stem, bars, and seat post. -2010 Magura Louis brake system. -2010 Magura Floating rotors front and rear -2010 Bontrager RL white seat -2010 Ergon white grips. -Red accents like steering cap cover, cable lines, etc. Basically, this thing is new in terms of the components. It has been ridden prior to the build and things like the typical chain suck these get are visible. There are some scratches on the frame as seen in the pic from frame rub from the cables, a few fork scratches as seen in the pics, also. But, this thing is awesome and really, tough to price out. The components on the stock Paragon are pretty basic and the idea was to make this thing a better bike overall. WILL NOT INCLUDE PEDALS OR WATER CAGES! Was thinking that since most Paragons are running $1500-$1700 depending on condition, this is probably at least worth $1500. Pretty firm. Can deliver and willing to send better pics.   19. Actually, I have. A lot of the guys try using a 200 at certain tracks. This isn't old school 200s. This would easily fit on your bike and any liter bikes. 200/55/17...   21. Here is a pic of the new Dunlop front as advertised above along with the 200 rear and 120 NTec front. I will take $50 for the PRC/Pilot Race Rear combo and $75 for all three Pilot Race rears. Firm on the Dunlop set as the front is new and great for track and street...
  22. Not sure why you are upset... There needs to be regulations on businesses as they are making money. If you are driving to a shop and back, you are making money and while driving is part of the business, it isn't for personal use and therefore, subject to laws and regulations. Why is it fair that you can drive a 23' 2-3 axle trailer and a 1 ton dually and a guy driving a Box Truck for a company has to jump through hoops? I think that many businesses that are small and have small trucks and trailers are running around making money and working with the vehicles they drive and have been expempt for long enough. I think log books are something that should be required, also. Our KTM guys driving just the small Sprinter vans are required. Hell, they are driving to and from race events and dealerships that need parts, etc. Same should hold true for you even though you are smaller scale. Parity and uniform rules apply to anyone with a business. I like the sounds of that. While th guy that cuts grass for a living to a guy that reps oils like you to a guy that has a dump truck hauling gravel to a guy with a semi truck hauling frozen food. It all needs to be the same and you should be held to a higher standard than Joe Average driving his dually down 71 hauling a trailer with dirt bikes going to a track for play time... The thing that really gets me are these private motorcoach/Renegade trucks. I've driven one that is over 10' longer than the law allows. But, because it doesn't require a CDL to drive and ANYONE can drive one, it is rarely even looked at twice while going down the interstate. It also doesn't have to stop at weigh stations and related. We could haul a trailer full of 55 gallon drums of race fuel into a tunnel on the interstate and have zero issue... A semi truck that is 10' shorter cannot and would be damn near gang jumped if he tried... Point is that businesses are hld to a higher standard and I think that is good. I think guys with race haulers and recreational RV stuff need harsher rules and regulations... Essentially, it is th cost of doing business...
  23. Bingo... I would say that $5k is a fair price and should sell at this time. The whole Spring mentality is somewhat overplayed anymore. The thing is that the interest is more in Spring due to riding being right around the corner. But, there are plenty of people buying bikes this time of year. Price is the key factor, though. Personally, for a motorcycle, I would wait until after the 1st of the year. Unless you get aggressive and sell it at less than $5k. Aftermarket stuff means nothing unless it is a race bike. Meaning, an exhaust isn't going to pull anything unless high end stuff. Bolt on things like sliders, rearsets, clip-ons, etc are worth $0 in terms of a bike being sold. The issue you run into once Spring comes is the bike is then another year old. So, again - the factor of Spring and getting more is a bit false. Remember, the 2011 GSXR600 hits the streets in March. Of course, it will be $11k, but the idea is that it is now making your bike older. Technology-wise as well as performance-wise... I sold my race bike at the end of the race season. Typical, but tougher than during Spring. I also just sold a $11k plus KTM RC8R and we have snow flying. It's all how you sell it, how much you ask (Or are willing to let it go for), and where you place the ads. Gixxer.com or whatever is probably the worse place to sell it. Dime a dozen and everyone else is selling the same thing. C/L is good to start with, but typically takes forever on stuff like that - unless price is good. Ebay is a decent place. Cycle Trader may pull some weight also...
  24. 3 seconds a lap is a big deal when considering the cost of the car and the top shelf status it has. Think about if they did a typical AMA 27 lap race at a 3 second deficit... The car would get lapped... Or damn near. Plus, the track is shit - dirty and tight. The car had a bit better advantage as the tighter the course and the wider the 4 tires, the mid corner grip from the car would be higher than the bike... I think it shows just how good OEM sportbikes are. It also shows why so many get turned into pop cans at the hands of newer and inexperienced riders...
  25. It still sucked - badly... Tanner trying to act like the Brits in his narrations, the weird middle guy that really doesn't do anything to the gay dude that can only drive a car in a straight line and acts like he's blowing his load whenever he gets near a car that is north of a Hyundai. Tanner is tolerable. The other are not and the series is going to die off. Bring back the real Top Gear and let the party begin.
