  1. Certainly. I also may have a demo unit for sale. It would be an R model. We also will have some Standards off demo, also. I can broker the deal, but it is going to have to be through a handful of dealers... Coming up on October 4 and 5?
  2. This is an MX demo. No off road units. That will be at Crow Canyon in November.
  3. I meant to say the media bike pictured does not have the kit with it. The price is probably near $18k-ish, but that's up to the dealer to decide. A production LE is $24k...
  4. It is the same as an R model. The one pic doesn't have the Akra kit with it. I am not sure what the asking price will be. There are only 18 Red Bulls in the US.

Sending it up to a dealer, but if anyone wants one of these rare birds, I have two dealers that each now have one. This is a Media bike and has 700 miles on it. So, it is going to be cheaper than the actual Red Bull LE production run. The LE production run units come with a full Akrapovic system and our Club kit which is a race oriented kit with thinner head gaskets and related... The production run units retail at $24k... This puppy will be cheaper - if the owner wants to sell it! Just thought to share some images of a really cool and rare bike...
  6. Bumping this up! Oakley is also going to be there so, come on out and ride! This is an open practice also so, bring your own bike for more riding beyond the demos. The way we run this is that we give each signee a lanyard that we will punch for every model they ride. We will be giving 3 laps or so (Depends on the size of the crowd) on each model of your choice on the Vet track. You will ride the laps and then come in and wait in line for the next machine you wish to ride. Sign up is slated for 10, I think... I would check with Briar Cliff's website to make sure as this is not an official Demo Day for us. Bring your own food and water, also. We provide bikes and setup, but not catering! Anyways, come on out!
  7. Ok, got a buddy with a garage full of Dunlop Sportmax take offs. These are in great shape, been inside and not frozen and thawed, etc. There are 7 sets and he'd like to sell as sets only. 120/70 fronts and 180/55 rears. Figure $150 OBO is a fair starting point.   9. How old are the Blasters? May not have ever had an off road title... It didn't use to be required and until recently, they never had one and you never got one when buying used. You can simply go to the title dept and request an off road title. Show the bill of sale and provide the VIN and you should be good. I also am not sure that it is required for a permit for public trails... I think just a VIN# is needed...
  10. WAY too high priced for a salvaged bike. The issue as of late is that salvage dealers are spending too much on crashed bikes and that gets sent over to the sales side. Second, there is NO WAY in hell that you should EVER buy a salvage bike w/o a test ride. no way... I would tell you to turn around and start looking at C/L or Wheeler Dealer before I ever would tell you to do otherwise... Too many other better deals on clear titled bikes out there from owners that can give a better idea of history than a salvage yard that saw it online and then bid to win the thing w/o a clue as to what happened or the history...

  13. If you are simply wanting to understand suspension, check out "suspension for mortals" as it is a great read and will assist you in learning the ways of street suspension. Again, I wouldn't ask a guy what things do outside traditional stuff. He'll tell you what rebound, compression, high speed compression, etc does. That's basic suspension knowledge that you can get from Google... But, if you want more in depth questions answered, seek others...

  15. True dat, but I am not sure I believe they can pull off sub 600 pounds with steel... The X-Bow kicks major ass in the race series they run it in. Pretty neat and in person, way cooler... I really am interested in the Duc car, but man... I need to win the lottery...
  16. Uh, no. Go to a guy that knows street. MX converted guys are not the best as they do not grasp the way the bike has to work with shorter stroke and different style internals. It's like saying all plastic is the same. It isn't. Check out Reuben at 35 Motorsports first choice. If you want other choices, there are some, but nothing in Columbus...

  19. Actually, the slapping helps to bring back the blood flow in their wrists from them going numb from the severe 1930's frame/engine technology...
  20. Today's bikes don't have mixture screws like the older bikes had on their carbs... Hence why dynos or FI kits like the Bazaaz and new PC are such a worthy investment...
  21. Mike Smith wore tassels or "fringe" on his race suits. He was the furthest from gay you can find and faster than most. Lesson here? You better be a bad muther F-er to run them. Otherwise, you're a fag. I also think it allows the HD rider to know when they are moving. Their obnoxious "loud pipes save lives" deafen them so they have no idea...
  22. It's really tough to tell by looking at plugs anymore with the fuel today... You need to get to a shop with a dyno and the ability to "sniff" the bike and get an exact showing of fuel mixture. Don't go by what your plug "looks like". Get a professional with the air/fuel meter to really tell... My plugs are white and we don't run race gas. It's not too lean at all... Exhaust tips are no way to tell anymore, either... Used to be that white/grey or touch of brown was too lean. Bikes with carbs... That doesn't hold true anymore, either...
  23. Counter steering is funny. You all have been doing it forever. Ever ride a bicycle? You do it... You've done it... Quit worrying about it and just ride. As stated by Nick in the video - it is and should be very intuitive. You think about it, and you'll screw it up. Take it out of your mind and worry about other things like body position and throttle application. Counter steering is going on or you crash. Simple.
