  1. Well, considering we don't know title status, we see it has some of the shittiest plastics I have seen on a bike, and it probably has been wrecked, I think $500 below KBB (which is only a measuring tool) is still too high. I know Reuben at 35 Motorsports is going to have some 08 GSXR600s with some slight rash with NEW MSOs and never been titled bikes from the Swantz school priced close to this asking price here... The drag pipe and PC don't add value. It may to someone looking specifically for that, but an Akro system would have pulled more interest. He'd get maybe $5500 if it was bone stock and in great shape. Or at least with new plastic that was OEM colors... It's just too rough a bike to sell for that much. I mean, it may, but it's a little high for that bike in the condition it is in...
  2. Funny thing is, all those men, er, I mean... women pictured are sitting in that comfortable position the dyke sales lady was mentioning on the women's specific bike... Many have that slim tank design, too. Hmmmm... Maybe it's just for women and not dykes as they are too closely related to men??
  3. Yeah, it varies who you ask, I guess. I'd say closer to 10 pounds... That's a lot of poop...
  4. Do you smoke weed, man? Seriously, what indicates anti-cruiser sentiments? Seriously. Don't back pedal - show me. God damn... REALX!! I stated that HD has been doing this for years. Meaning that this women built machine is a little late and what they are touting as built specific for women is somewhat smoke and mirrors and that a woman can go to a metric OR HD dealer and get everything she needs already. Why and where is that anti-cruiser? I was simply saying in a polite way that these chicks are going to catch a few suckers, but if at any time HD and the metric companies decide to SPECIFICALLY market a bike solely towards women, this company goes down in a ball of flames... You're wearing me out, dude...
  5. Dude, where in ANY of my post did I bash HD? Point it out. Quit being so damn defensive about cruisers and read what I said. I stated HD and the metric cruisers DO offer things to suit women. Christ, dude. I was actually supporting ALL fucking cruiser companies from the big 4 and HD.
  6. Remember, 7 pounds is one HP. So, poop a LOT.
  7. Eh, a little high. I'd say more like 120 ish stock. We had that year bike and with a full SS build and everything dialed, it was 140 at the ground dependable power...
  8. Still too big a gap... You usually factor 10% decrease for chain driven machines... Ask Drew (Owndjoo) and he'll tell you what a TRUE Supersport built motor will pull on the dyno. You can have 129 at the ground, but be ready for rebuilds... $5500 is a little steep on this one fellers... G/L selling it in the condition it is in. I'd probably quit with the false comments and just try and sell her the way you should...
  9. If you like it, then own it. That's what matters - not what anyone has to say about it as most probably have never even ridden one. They're actually pretty cool bikes. That Rotax motor is awesome and a HUGE, HUUUUUUUUGE step above the HD based powerplant. Runs like stink, but the style? Well, again... If you like it, that's what matters. Get the white one...
  10. Dude, glad to see you got that bike from Tim. He is a great guy and takes care of his stuff. Have fun with her. If you ever go to CRP, shoot me a call and I'll come out and slide with ya!
  11. Ok... First, the women's market is ever growing and this is a great attempt to take a piece of that pie. HOWEVER, for them to say that they are the ONLY company that caters to women is not correct. Many years and many ideas later, companies have always tried to incorporate women into the designs of the bikes they sell. Now, the fact of the thinner tank, there's plenty of bikes with such a styled tank. The adjustability of the controls. Available today easily on most metric and HD bikes. The FI based system. Been here and really old hat at this point. The HD motor? Well, I'd have to say if it is really an HD motor and not an S&S Motor, I can tell you where the cost increase lies... They need a better spokeswoman, as well. BS sales shit like the FI system and her not really knowing what she's talking about "I didn't want them to have to worry about things like spark plugs" WTF??? "We can raise the bike up and it will not effect the way it handles..." Riiiight... Lift any mass higher and it effects handling. Raise just the rider even and it will effect handling. If they want to be taken seriously, they need to have someone who isn't the idea behind it, but rather the person that KNOWS about what they are talking about. She's simply the money lady that wanted a bike built like this and is pitching it to be sold... Here's the drill. Custom choppers are taking a serious shit right now. Not all, but a lot are dropping in sales. A $20k plus chick bike is stupid as the resale value is going to stink. Plus, as soon as HD offers a "female specific" cruiser, it's game over... The problem I see is that ANY woman rider can walk into an HD shop RIGHT NOW and order custom parts to be put on their bike to compensate for their body type. The 883, 1200, Dyna, etc are all bikes with the ability to satisfy a rider in this category. Hell, there are a many metric cruisers out there that can also be custom built to fit a woman specifically. There's nothing new here other than the sales pitch "A bike built by women for women"... That's it. Epic fail waiting to happen right here...
  12. Sintetico is the cheaper stuff... You can find it all day at most shops for about $6-7 a liter... Why don't you want the 4T race stuff?
  13. Well, he on that R6 and me on the pig SD 990, it was pretty tough to keep him behind me. When he'd put his head down, I couldn't hang w/o tucking the front, etc. He's the reason I have a grind mark on the left side case cover!!
  14. Don't buy on Ebay. Most are bent... they usually are salvage take offs and they never check them... The 00-05 GSXR 750 and 01-05 GSXR600 wheels are all the same. Rotors are different (fronts) on 04-05 600/750s... You should be able to get a set cheap. Check www.wera.com for most your stuff like that.
  15. Two different helmets, also. The cool thing about the Barros is all the Japanese Anime chicks with big boobs and hard nips... Just sayin'...
  16. I wrote this over on STT's site, but thought it might be useful here. Pretty basic and easy to grasp. Shoot any questions if they come up... Ok, guys and gals... A LOT of people are either new at safety wiring their bikes or simply may not know where to begin. I jotted down some ideas with pictures in an effort to not only make it a little easier, but give you all something to read over in an effort to make our job at tech a little easier. If you all know, you all will do a good job and the whole process will be easy and quick. If i missed anything, just chime in and let me know what I can do to make it better. I intend on creating a checklist of things to go over on your bike before a track day, too... I'm having trouble making the pictures show when I post the info. I did this in Word and I should have done it in Reader or something... Anyways, hopefully this is easy to read: Track Day Checklist – Things to go over before the event: 1)Oil Drain Bolt: Is the oil drain bolt tightened to spec? Check your owner’s manual for proper torque. For “I” and “A” riders, this is a bolt that needs to be safety wired or use of silicone required. Figure A shows how I wire my drain bolt. A suggestion for track day riders who ride street and want to be able to sell their bikes w/o drilled holes – buy a spare drain bolt and drill it. That way, when you go to sell, you can pop in the non-drilled bolt and be done… Note: On safety wiring any bolt or nut, you need to make sure that you are pulling TIGHT on the bolt. In other words, the wire should be pulling the bolt in a direction of it being tightened. Righty, Tighty as they say… I try and pull from the bottom or side… Figure A: Now, how to secure the safety wire is up to the rider. I drill small holes in tabs found on the motor. For example, in Figure B, I drilled into the tab off the oil pan. Easy and clean. However, you could also go to a fairing bracket as a good choice to avoid drilling holes in your street bike. DO NOT go to the exhaust or to the tabs of the exhaust. Wrapping around the exhaust is not a great idea although the spring tabs look inviting. The exhaust vibrates a lot and wrapping around the pipes themselves will heat the wire and cause it to become slightly brittle… Figure B: Again, I tie off into a tab off the motor as you can see above. It’s fairly close and is a great point for me to tie into. My bike is 100% track only and therefore, no concern over holes… However, you can easily tie into a fairing bracket or similar as seen in Figure D. Figure D is a fairing bracket I have, but I do not tie into. It’s just an idea… DO NOT tie around the header pipes. I also would avoid the spring tabs on race exhausts as referred to under the drain bolt section. I just think it isn’t a good idea since the exhaust moves and vibrates… Figure D: 3)Oil fill cap: The oil fill cap should be wired, but isn’t required. I think it and the coolant cap should be as they can often be forgotten about after filling or checking… In any case, for those interested, here’s an idea I use on my bike. In Figure E, I use a diaper style clip pin safety wired into a tab off the case cover. That way, I can remove the clip and fill oil. I use the same style clip on the coolant fill cap. What this does is still pull on the cap as if it were tightening it, but allows me to remove it instead of cutting wire and redoing it every time. It is basically a convenience deal… Figure E: Well, hope that helps a bit. If you have any questions, you can always ask an instructor. That’s what we are here for. Taking the time to do a little work will pay off in not only peace of mind, but will allow you to enjoy a LONG track day and allow you to have more fun. The result of not taking a little time and effort can be a lot of time waiting for the track to be cleaned up or you having to put your machine back together… I’ll take fun any day!!!
  17. He left and went to Leo Vince for a short time. Came back, got screwed by Rick and then was asked to take over direct from Italy. He runs his head off promoting the brand and is still the best helmet guy in the biz.
  18. Jees- PM me and I will get you a set or get you in contact with the guy you need to talk to. The US head of Suomy is a great friend of mine...
  19. Oh, she's got plenty of "go"... TRUUUUST me. It was interesting getting on her and riding it for the first time not knowing much about it and we just setting sag to where I prefer. The traction control system is really cool, but even at that, it will spin the fucking tire off if it is ham fisted too much. Coming out onto the front straight at Mid-O, I had her spin, step out, traction control hit and she hooked up. Wheelied out and I steered it straight. I smiled and laughed my head off. Something like "Fuckin' yeah!" is what I think I yelled out in my helmet... Things a ball... Handful, but a ball nonetheless...
  20. Kinda Kujo and Christine the way it was acting at Mid-Ohio in October. I have to pet it real nice like and tell it is pretty and everyone likes her. Otherwise, it sneaks out and hunts small children and eats them while they are sleeping. Horrible story, I know, but she can be mean at times...
  21. I got smart after my last bike being displayed there. I pulled the battery. You could at least sit on it and make VROOM-VROOM noises...
  22. Nah, you can touch it, sit on it... Whatever. It's the dick heads that try and take shit off it that pisses me off. Someone seriously tried to peel off the chrome OEM Suzuki "S" on one side of the tank... If anyone treats her badly, though and they show up at one of the STT events, I cannot be held responsible when it tries to kill that person... :D
  23. Everything is for sale. It's only how much you are willing to pay for it... No, I just simply listed what it would take to bring a stock GSXR1000 to the state my bike is in now. It would be well over $20k and really, the Yosh Kit parts are somewhat priceless or tough to even get your hands on so, the real price is a guess... But, it's not for sale...
  24. We clean them and run them dry. The oil causes them to be inconsistant in terms of air flow. Of course, running them dry or VERY light oil, you need to clean them after every weekend... Street guys? I'd run it oiled like it suggested in the directions. You aren't going to notice an issue or difference. It's one of those things where even the slightest gain in power can be helpful. On the liter bike I have now? Stock. How needs extra power when you have almost 190 at the ground, right?;)
  25. Shitty camera phone pic, but here's mine after Attack Painter got her done and I added the decal set...
