  1. Uh, I am looking and the 2006 and up are different. Cylinders are showing 11008-057 vs 1100-80080. All the parts I am looking up are different... I didn't look at the 05s, but I can't remember when they shared. I was thinking it was 2006... I can look at the 05s, too... Now things like pastic and such will transfer over...
  2. The best part is the guys that run super fast times than what they really usually run and think they just got faster. What they don't realize is that it is Joe from Split Second Photo getting them with his infrared equipped camera... Hence why race clubs insist on transponders... XT lap timers are fine if nobody is around...
  3. Dude - why you got to be honest?? This thread is for the big fish story telling folks... You need to rethink those times.
  4. I did about :59 on a CRF100 at CRP. Close to that time you listed on a supermoto. I think they were :54s at the time. Might have been faster, but can't remember...
  5. Look, you can't compare a Toyota and a Civic with an A8. They are as different a type of car as trying to compare the taste of lighter fluid with that of a fresh strawberry... That said, take it from me that Audis are known for electrical gremlins. Our family was a big VW and Audi family for a long time. They had more electrical issues than most any other car we owned. Windows, dash issues, lights, motor, etc. They are well known for that thing in the years around the one you are looking at. Just 411... My opinion is that you should buy a BMW if you want a luxury sedan like that. A8s are not sports cars by any means, but are great performance sedans. Great torque down low, but I am a solid BMW fan and my parents have had nothing but GREAT things go on with their BMWs since they left Audi. Just be careful, but for $11k, it sounds like a good deal. The regular stuff is pretty normal. Oil changes, the occasional part here and there - pretty par for the course. They are very dependable motors and will last a long time. The chassis is great, too... Now things like tires, suspension mods, exhausts, etc. are pretty high for that car... But, it isn't a dime a dozen Civic, either...
  6. Not true at all. Only the small bikes were covered in the merger at the time. KX65/RM65, KX/RM100, play bikes and small ATVs. A few scooters over in Europe. That's it. The KX250 is a great bike but don't let anyone tell you they are the same. The RMZs were really good not until a couple of years ago when they did a design change... So, I think you are better off with the Kaw.
  7. Bambi? Is that you girl?

  8. I know the Ducati dealer down from Cycle Specialties in Cincy used to sell TM. Like Drew stated, cool bikes with trick parts. Only tough thing you'll have is parts sourcing for the motor. Everything else is probably pretty standard. Have fun. Looks REALLY clean!
  9. Nope. Not calling you a liar, but coming from a guy who has had spools hit, this wreck isn't from that. The one pic shows them bending (common) when they FINALLY hit. I think low side or peg... Definately not spools... Even the big fat spools guys use won't cause a crash as they will bend the bolt first and snap off the swingarm. I had one snap off at Mid-Ohio and it sat me up (faster than 30mph) and I kept running - came back into the pits and almost dropped the bike due to no right side spool!
  10. Swingarm spools didnt cause that crash...
  11. Sure. I am pretty firm at $650, though. I stated OBO, but it is WAY below dealer cost...

Get my PM? I'll take the levers...
  13. If you're going to street fighter it, probably ok a price. For anyone wanting to track it or put back to street condition, it's WAY too high...
  14. Hmmmm... All boner moves for me. 1) High sided leaving the house. Cold race compound tire. Wicked it up and ate a big shit burger... 2) Yamaha Jog in a wet parking lot. Grabbed both brakes trying to show off at the shop and tucked the front. Slammed down and hit the parking stop. She's now my pit bike! 3) KX100 and one of our dumbass prep kids used Yamaha's version of Armor All on the tires. Came in hot at the end of the street, hit the brakes and dumped it. Tore up the pipe pretty good, but not much else. Blew my pant leg open, though. In front of the whole shop pretty much too!! Outside that, seen other guys crash while we were riding, but been pretty lucky. Wish I could say that for the track/racing...
  15. But we all like busting your balls so it is fair...
  16. I said in the rain and scuffed like that is pictured... That leather for wet conditions and such a crash seemed to wear poorly considering....
  17. I guess my concern is how would it be different had he got an additional 15 posts and you still bought the bike? I mean, we have guys like Kawi Kid that bump and post smilies in every thread and have over 5k posts... What if the guy kept bumping his "hello, I'm new" thread 50 times?? I think 25 posts is more than fair in the attempt to make it more inviting to newbies. I think practicing good buying habits is a goal we all should have 50 posts or 5,000... You got ripped off and I think it would have happened either way. Had nothing to do with being new as much as it did the guy was a fucking snake... On the WERA board, you got guys with 100s of posts and yet they rip people off...

Are the levers standard length or shorty? It should be marked on the end of the box... If standard, I am interested...
  19. Man, I think that's kinda high. I think 25 is cool and that they need to introduce themselves first post to even be able to access certain areas... 50 seems pretty high and considering that a lot of these guys have found the site through whatever means, suggests that it is getting out to the public. Making it more than the average sites out there to post classifieds could cause them to be turned away...
  20. Sounds good. Good luck and sorry about the mess in this thread. If you ever need any help, just ask. I also would suggest checking out 35 Motorsports - one of OR sponsors. Reuben does a KICK ass job setting bikes up. Have fun - that's a really great bike to ride.
  21. Old I am. You got me. Would really suck to let all your boyfriends and emo buddies see an old guy tromp your ass riding your motorbike, wouldn't it? Your tactful and whit induced comments never cease to amaze... Not shoving my opinion down anyone's throat, but I do like how you seem hell bent on mis information (90 hp SVs not needing PCs, etc) being thrown out there and the fact that you argue back constantly. Shove is a two way street, bud... Tell me where your view is educated other than a cult forum of guys telling you what it should be like. Ever dyno your bike? The other guy said he hadn't. Bet you haven't either. Ever even ran a dyno yourself? How about how many bikes have you seen or worked on that you understand what happens when you tune them? Educate us on how educated you really are. Please. Once done, I will retract and apologize for calling you uneducated in your responses... Who's called me out that causes me to apologize? If someone is right, I concede. You should try it... Selling "used shit" is fine to do on a site is it not? Are you jealous that I have so much stuff to sell? I want to buy a new mountain bike. I'm not wealthy like you so, I have to sell one to get one. I have some apparel that needs to go to make money to buy tires. So, I sell to buy. It happens everyday. Not sure what the reverse side of the race coin means. You probably are one of those folks that thinks I don't know anything about street and what goes on. Poor, poor boy (I'm an old man - that makes you a young boy) - you apparently are new here. Wanna street ride? Cool with me. Been riding since only 89 so I am not a veteran, but I've got some seat time... Racing is something that relates to street. But, you apparently have a complex that doesn't allow you to see that. I'm done. I need to go to bed. Afterall, I'm old and I have to wake up and run tomorrow morning. You know - to stay in shape to keep up with you youngins. You probably should too - you probably have an XBox tournament to play in tomorrow while waiting for mom to get home so you can borrow the car to go to work...
  22. And I think with a cheap slip-on, I'd forget about the PC, too. But, we were talking at a point where it was suggested that a 90hp to the ground SV doesn't need a PCIII. 90-95rwhp SVs are superbike builds and really need to be carrying a PC or Bazaaz unit. But again, even a full system is really a time to get the thing running optimal. Street, track, back yard, whatever...
