Like Flounder stated, they fill up FAST!!! Best bet is to get online and check the dates and see what you think is 100% feasible for you and your work, etc. Sign up as early as you can to avoid getting booted. One thing to consider is the LED events. I know they sell fast, too, but usually are more track time and it is later in the day as far as start time...

Depends on series, travel distance, etc... $7k for a year even at the regional club level is CHEAP and probably falls short... The track day number is legit to a degree. Obviously, my fuel costs are cheaper than say a guy coming from Portsmouth, etc... Overall, I think track days are great for us retired old guys and great for budding, young talent. By the way, thanks. Suck up.

How's this goob stick? I HAVE raced AMA events. Had a hard card for many years. Does that make you feel better? Not sure what that proves, but apparently, it is a validation requirement for you so... Where the FUCK have I talked down to people who don't make it to teh track on a regular basis? Let's see... Douche bag chimes in after I made a comment pertaining to wannabe racers from CBus. Douche bag then derails conversation to support his inferiority complex to make it look like I am the asshole here... What douche bag fails to realize is that unless he puts up and shuts up, that vintage GSXR with a big bore kit is simply a show bike. Come on up and ride with us. Heard you were an asshat from some others so I doubt you'd ever come and ride. If you did, I doubt I'd sit back and go "Wow, I was wrong - he CAN ride"... Guys like you don't get it. If I ever made fun of or talked down to ANY riders that don't get to the track on a "regular basis", it is because they street race and claim they are fast because they ride twisties on the road... You one of those chaps? Everyone's fast until they actually have to prove it. I'll prove it to you if you'd like... If not, why the hell are you so damn bent when it comes to making fun of someone? Get a life. If the internet gets you too emotional and you don't think people are playing fair, ask your mom for some Maxipads and maybe ask someone with a stronger stomach to answer and read for you. Until then, let the grown ups play here.

Yeah, sorry meow. I'm just in a meow shit mood today...
-
By the way, are you dating a YSR racer or maybe you're a YSR racer and got offended? Did you not read what the lady stated about her Ex? She didn't seem to think highly of the guy... Didn't offend her so, why do you give two shits?
-
I am a racer. I've raced for over 14 years. Need me to scan my licenses to prove it to someone like you? Not really worth my time... I can supply you a list of credentials, but that would bore most. I don't need to prove anything to an internet tough guy. All I can say is that many people know what I've done and where I've raced. I can honestly say that I think I've done a decent job over the years. As far as fast - what makes me not fast according to you? I've NEVER stated I was, but if you are saying I'm not, how do you figure that? Oh, and calm down - you're getting a bit flustered as seen in running your sentences together and poor grammar and punctuation...
-
And, the bike has been certified by Jesus Christ!!! Damn, man... GREAT avatar... How the hell you find these things... Come on guys!! WAY fair a deal on a 600...

Well, the Bill I know was a Yamaha guy and was probably one of the fastest guys around here. I know it isn't him. The others from CBus? Well, I can name names if you'd like, but they are certainly not established racers. As far as your comment towards me, what the fuck? You trying to say something special? Say it instead of walking around it. There's plenty of "instructors" that can handle their own. I can give you a handful of guys that on any given day, could qualify for an AMA event. But I suppose you're better and faster, huh??? A lot of people claim they are racers or state they've raced. A few one off events and local based clubs don't count. Anyone can start out and do something - it's the ones that continue and go forward that count. They know who they are and they don't need to tell people how good they are. The guys I am refering to usually sound as if they are fresh off the MotoGP circuit. They have their own little fraternity of buddies and while fine, it usually gets a little deep when you hear them talk... So, when I hear racer, I typically roll my eyes...
-
Fack!!! It's just a toe. If you went to a doc, they'd slap you on the ass and tell you to walk it off. Christ... Tape it and be done with it. No fancy metal shit, no fancy "special" tape - just tape it to the other toe IF you wish and be done with it... Advil and stop whining is the best way to get it to heal...

No, I bought it with the Scotts damper I got from on eof my dealers I visit. I need a GSXR mount and so, my thought is to sell this cheap and buy a new one for what I need... I just wanted the damper. Can be used as I change bikes...
-
$90 shipped or whatever. That's less than dealer. It has everything new in the bag it came from. Even has the thread lock stuff!!!
-
Again, I would suggest Spyderchick as she is probably the best person to sew zippers into leather stuff in a correct fashion that will match your jacket best. However, I think she has a flat fee of $125, but not sure (That's cheap)... Her website is: http://www.spyderleatherworks.com/ By the way, who is your ex? Not Bill, is it? He's the only racer I know from CBus... Well, there were a few wannabes, but most were YSR guys...
-
I saw work boots last year!!! Seriously!
-
We always look while going out to grid, etc. A two piece not zipped together is an easy catch out there... We have had issues with things like people needing proper boots, etc. It isn't done at tech, but we see it all the time... Oh, you need a babysitter, alright!!
-
Sorry to offend. I was simply stating that having the jacket or pants (You didn't specify) sewn is skimping vs. buying them that way in anticipation of track day going... If you are well versed because your husband "raced", I wonder what made you pick a two piece set-up that didn't have the zippers already existing? Also, two piece in racing is a "no-no". Seen a many two piece blow apart... As far as track days, we won't allow you on track without a proper two piece zipped properly together. Spyderchick on the WERA board or Barnicle Bill may be able to assist you, but again, the cost is going to be such that you'd be ahead to sell the pants and buy a set that zips in and has pucks. I assume any pant that doesn't have a zipper, doesn't have pucks. Again, not a good idea and the cost to add pucks is in addition to the zipper. You could probably buy a set cheaper... Anyways, do what you want. Seems you have it figured out. Good luck. Sincerely, "novice" racer guy.
-
Don't skimp - keep what you have for street, but buy a set for the track. Getting someone to sew in a zipper and it be safely attatched is sketchy. Check Iron Pony for some deals. Depending on your size, you can get two piece stuff for cheap!!! Or, check www.sportbiketrackgear.com for what they have in stock. Your best bet is to try on men's sizes and see where you fit in those...

I have a 2006/2007 and will most likely fit an 08 (Not 100% - you'd have to check) Scotts damper mount kit for an R6. Will also fit the 2004-2007 R1 and assume 2008, but you'd need to verify... It is BRAND NEW in the package. I got this by mistake and need a different mount for myself. This is great if you have a Scotts and need to put it on your R6 and just need a mount or you can buy them cheap off Ebay. Hint - buy a stepped steering arm damper usually found on MX/Supermoto bikes. You can change the arm out for under $40. Anyways, looking for $100 shipped OBO... Retails for $130.

It does mean something. I was just saying that the BSI standard goes a bit further. They test a few things that SNEL doesn't - like an oblique impact. An oblique impact is similar to a majority of crashes. SNELL does the ol' center impact on the top of the helmet. Ever landed straight up and down on your head? Most the time, it is off center and more frontal or backside if whipped from snapping your head back... I just find it weird that we seem to think SNELL is so great. They at least do more tests than not, but because they approve such dramatically different helmet designs and composites, it gets sorta grey... Buying a SNELL helmet is a good idea, but if you want a little better choice, read how a helmet is made and what is in the composite materials and you'll want an Arai or similar over a Fulmer or similar...
-
Suomy has made SNELL status, but doesn't pay for the sticker. They show the BSI certification which is MUCH more thorough... The point about SNELL Arais vs. Fulmers is that yes, there is a difference between a $700 lid and an $80 lid. It is all in how they are made, composites used and to what degree they accel. These Craft lids are meeting ECE according to what you posted. That means they are probably just as good as any HJC or similar here. Buy at your own risk. Personally, I use helmets that are tested via racing applications and their R&D testers are top level racers. Haven't seen a Craft lid floating around anywhere...
-
He sure does!! That big rainbow sticker is the one you refer to that he has sewn on the ass of his pants and on the sides of his bike, right? If that's not the one, I'm not sure which you are talking about...
-
SNELL certification isn't always the best form of testing. I mean, an $80 Fulmer has the same SNELL rating as a $700 Arai... There needs to be better testing and different levels of certification. BSI and ECE testing involves batch testing whereas SNELL is a blanket test and the helmet companies buy the SNELL sticker. Not jabbing at SNELL as a SNELL helmet is better than a non SNELL lid most times, but SNELL isn't the only form of testing out there and they certainly aren't the best...
-
TUV isn't the same as BSI or the ECE rating that helmets like Suomy and others have. Look to be a similar item as say THH or similar. Pieces of shit essentially... The top two and last are car based lids due to the way the eye ports are and such. The third one is the only motorcycle based one... Don't waste your time. You'd be better off buying a non SNELL helmet like HJC has instead of these... Don't buy a Sparks, though!!!
-
Not sure where the hater came in... Stated facts - the show is more than a few celebs. There are plenty of racers and famous industry people there, for sure, but the show is about the newest and coolest motorcycle related items on the market... That's cooler than meeting a semi-famous TV personality. Also, I HAVE seen him ride track before. He's "OK". He's not race material by any means, but what he does, I can't do at all so, his riding ability is high but in a different class than a racer would be. Stunting has a spot in my mind of how much talent is required. I'm not impressed by wheelies and the circles they do. It's all very repetitious in nature. However, the drifting, the long endos and assorted other bike control things they do is amazing. To each their own. By the way, riding the Dragon has no bearing on how good a rider is...
-
Car dealer? Unless he sells motorcycle accessories or bikes, no go. Plus, he has to pre-register or he himself can show proof at the show and pay a fee. Going for Jason Britton is no reason to go. MUCH cooler stuff there than him...

It's a Yamaha Jog and it now has Monster Energy Graphics (Owned by Hansen)... Painted Kawasaki Green when we raced with Kawasaki and were sponsored by Hansen... Suzuki stickers because I have been on Zooks since then... It's for sale, too!!
