  1. 2005-2006 G35 Coupe. Want 6MT, prefer the Sport Package and color choices are Charcoal Grey, Silver and Pearl White. Been researching as I cannot afford a new 07/08 G35 or G37 for my wife right now. I am not leasing so, buying outright. So, sub $30k is where I need to be. Anyone have any contacts on one similar as listed above, shoot me a PM and let me know...
  2. Ok, homos... Anyone know of the best source to find used cars? I know of Auto Trader, but it seems to mostly be dealerships instead of the general public. Not afraid of dealers as they aren't bad if the car is pre-certified, etc. I just like talking with the original owner. Anyone know of a good source?
  3. 06s are more closely set-up to the 04/05s... 04/05s are more in between if you know what I mean... Again, I think this is a newer generation tire deal than it is geaometry changes... the 06s are a lot more distant to the 01s than the 05s are. You're correct about that. But, you don't want to set the 05 up like you would your 03... Of course, again, it is rider preference, but I went the way of the 02 I had and it was a bad move. Didn't work as well as the way the 05 should be set up. I have Jensen to thank for me getting it right. Well, Reuben too, but I got better feedback from Robert because he is on Michelins... Rub is definately one of the best I know, but the Pirelli (Before the newest race tire) had a less triangulated front tire. So, when i went to Pilot Races, the front is what was causing me issue. I kept putting the ass end up higher to get it to turn better and all the while, I was having traction issues... Ask Drew - the rear was always moving around under load. He always knew because he would come in and tell me he could always see me shaking my head.
  4. Yeah, ever flash a driver who is out in the fast lane? Usually, I get a brake check and the finger. I'm treated like I am the dumbass. RIIIIIIIGHT.... Usually on the cell phone paying NO attention to what's going on. Faggots.
  5. It's not harsh at all. For me, I drive about 50k miles a year in our wonderful pile of a state. Drivers running in the passing lane cause issues. One, the trucks cannot get in and out and have to squeeze into the lane to move around slower traffic. Two, passing a string of cars in the slow lane is tough - harder to see and you are usually going around people and squeezing into tight spots. Plus, the assholes usually speed up when you are going around. Why they do that is beyond me. They act like they want you to stay behind them even though they have 50 yards between them and the car in front of them. Ohio drivers are some of the worse drivers out there...
  6. First, I was wrong on the spring rates. They are different from 00-03 600s and 750s vs. 04-05. The swingarm in the reasoning... But, for proper sag numbers, you sometimes need a stiffer spring. I thought you, Chris had an 04 600. I didn't remember you had an 01-03 model... That 425 would have been an ideal starting point for you. My bad. Sorry. Second, the 04 and 05s need to be treated entirely different than the 00-03s. The 00-03 750s, for example, we cranked up the rears and dropped the fronts for best turn in, etc. The 04/05s, you try and keep the forks flush and lower the rears. It's different chasis geometry that is the issue. Plus, tires are different now as most of us were never running 190s on the 00-03 750s. Now, 190/55s are a norm. It's also down to what we always have to say at the end - it is up to the desired effect EACH rider hopes to acheive. For example, Flounder will start his numbers based on my set-up. We are similar in weight, will be running the Michelins and have the similar suspension set-ups. Our bikes are the same year, as well. However, what works for me isn't neccessarily what will work for him. I run a 475 rear spring. The rate chart for the 04/05 750s up to 210 with gear states a 450. That's the cusp of where we are at with gear. I still say run a 475, Flounder, but you could start out with that 450 and see what the sag numbers are and such. However, you are most likely about 230ish with gear... That tips over that 450 rate.
  7. 425 is what probably comes on that shock as far as a default. I just looked at LP's catalog and the weights I described are pretty much in line with what they have listed... Maybe Aaron couldn't read that day... 425 is nowhere close to what you need - good or not good enough...
  8. That is the average rate that will come with a shock for that model. If you are a 120 lb rider, it works fine. If you are a 200 pound rider, you cannot expect to use the same rate spring as a 110 pound right, right?
  9. Dude, a 450 spring is rated for somehwere between 140-175 pound rider. That's not enough spring for Flounder or you. At all... 475 is a 175-210 pound rider... I use a 475, but I am about 190lbs. Depending on how stiff you like the bike in the rear, you can step up, but that 450 is not enough.... Oh, and if you were using a 425, that's for 110-140 - certainly not even CLOSE to what you need...
  10. Anyone interested in a GREAT track day suit for less money than a used suit? Beuller....? Beuller....?
  11. Key word here is "then".... 'nuff said!
  12. Are you talking about the remote reservoir Triple Clicker? That's what I and a LOT of others have. Yes, that little hex shaped piece is the high speed adjustment. What the Double lacks... It is on the reservoir unit...
  13. Plantronics is sold!!! So, iPod Touch. Anyone into it for $275 for the unit and warranty? Motorola may be sold, too...
  14. Here's a linky to show the difference in both double and triple with remote reservoir... http://www.hardracing.com/Shocks%20&%20Steering%20Damp/Penske.htm The newer 8987 series has a unit that has an attached remote like stock has... This is best as it doesn't have a line to contend with, but honestly, a LOT of guys have been using remote units... Anyways, triple is shown first and double second. Biggest quick tell tale is the big gold dial on the double unit... Mine's exactly the same as the first... I took a pic, but this is better detail. High speed is great for a track like Mid-Ohio...
  15. Yeah, I figured that's what you were talking about. I was just listing a number in case anyone was interested. I'll keep ya posted as to what Dweezel does.
  16. Now, now... You told me that you like using your tool with other guys. Again, this code speak is confusing and yet, VERY scary... I may have to cancel helping you set-up your bike. I'm a little nervous.
  17. Floundey said something about he wasn't able to get back from Cincy since he had a special "Party" he had to attend. Something about driving and using something like two ski poles... Not sure what that's all about... Oh, isn't Cincy like the second largest gay populated city in the US? Hmmmmmm.... Two ski poles.... I think I get it now. YIKES!!!!:D:supergay:
  18. Todd- They should work fine. Looks like Dweezel has first dibs on the 640 Plantronics... May have a buyer on the Motorola, too... PM with offers - I have no idea where to start on these. What, $300 for the iPod? That's a $399 16G Touch with a $20 case and a $60 3 year warranty...
  19. ok, looking to go to the iPhone and don't need my Touch anymore. So, it is up for sale... Specs: 16G unit and I have the three year extended replacement warranty from Best Buy. I also have a hard shell clear case and the polished back looks like it did when it came out of the box. I have all receipts, all the wrapping materila and original box. It is a week 41 unit and has ZERO issues. I can leave the 3k plus songs on there and the Transformers movie I decoded to play on it. Or, I can zap it and you start from scratch... Have no idea as to what it is worth. I, of course paid $399 and $59.99 for the warranty and $20 for the case. So, make an offer and let's see where it lands me. Also, I have two BRAND NEW in the box bluetooth headsets. One is a Motorola H700 in deep chrome red. Has the swivel boom on it. You can surely hit up motorola' website and see what it is. Again, never opened and in original clamshell. Second is a Plantronics 640E Discovery headset. I have the 650 one and I can say I think these are one of the best headset companies out there. Nice and clean and doesn't look ghetto on your head. Slim and sleek. Again, check out Plantronics' website for info. Brand new in the box and never opened... Make an offer on it all or just one thing.
  20. you did, but you don't understand it isn't the same thing. Promo items are not a service. If HNW would have done it free because Motion Pro was paying for it, sure. But, it was on HNW's tech's time. His time is money. Flat rate is how they are paid. His flat rate for that job was about $10 which is a lunch at Applebee's for Christsake...
  21. How long does it take? I mean, if you were expecting a free job, wasn't it worth waiting a whole 15 minutes to get them to help ya out? Again, I am with Satan on this. No matter what excuse or scenerio you are painting, you didn't get fucked. You THINK you did, but you didn't go through any channels to have it set-up. You actaully might as well have walked into a shop in Mexico and asked for the same thing. If you have contacts, use them. Otherwise, you can't be pissed if you are treated like any other average guy. Knowing someone always helps no matter what you want/need. I can get Chrome a better deal on SHIFT street product than he can get at a dealership even if he was banging the owner. Why? Because he knows me. Now, if he goes to the dealer and gets a price higher than I could get him or he could have gotten it free vs. paying, did he get fucked? No. He didn't come and ask his contact first.
  22. I told him two creeks and a grunt and that's good. He thought I was refering to a trip he took with a buddy... I was uncomfortable at that moment and said I had to go...
