Nah, dude, it's all good. Problem is that this guy and a few of his "posse" have pushed quite a few folks away from Local Riders. I'm trying to get them to check this place out. The mods and such are a LOT more in the middle as opposed to being buds with the problem children. Guy is bad news and even though he has a cult folowing of guys just waiting to have him say "drink the Kool-Aide", he's got more people that think of him as I do... He'll go away. I just need to ignore him. He's a puss over at LR. He puts me and a couple of others on his ignore list. How he rides that tourer w/o a spine, I have no idea...

It's Brian, first of all. Second, if it was a WERA thread, you DEFINATELY have no use or business there. You ride a touring bike and never have raced nor never will... You COULD pretend to be interested, though... Even though you have everyone convinced over at LR that you have a vast amount of knowledge and experience, remember this: Years of experience means nothing if over all those years you did it wrong... Toledo? Have no idea... What the hell does that have anything to do with what we are discussing? I'm not hospitable with a guy who cries and carries on to the point he essentially gets me banned. You have some magical powers over at Local. You got me banned pretty much and yet, you were sitting there making jokes about it and actually the root of it all. Yet, you got nothing, A slap... Do us all a favor, look all you want, but from here on out, you have nothing to say to me. No responses, nothing. If there's a topic about Korean bikes, Touring bikes, etc., you're golden. I won't even look at them. We'll stay away well enough. But, anything you have to say or make a wise ass comment in an effort to get me pissed, etc. Don't. You'll not get your way on here. These guys are cool and they certainly aren't going to be warm to a guy like yourself....

Guy has an issue with his carbs - most likely need a complete cleaning. So, with that said, get them cleaned. You can keep teh gas in the tank over winter - it'll be just fine. Just drain it in Spring and put in a fresh tank of fuel and start her up. No need for additives. Example, most racers put their bikes up in mid to late October. We usually don't get them out until April. So, we store them a LOT longer than a street guy does. All I have EVER done is drain the carbs, clean out the bowls, kept the fuel line disconnected and left the old fuel in the tank (Pump gas - remove race gas as it can hurt fuel pumps on FI bikes...). Once Spring came along, drained the tank, hooked up the fuel line and added fresh gas. Started right up. Stabil is great for boats and cars. No need for motorcycles. Unless you typically do not EVER maintain your bike by removing the float bowls. It's extra work, but it helps in the long run...

Do what you please. Funny how you wait until a thread that pertains to Cincy and specifically Localriders to post after such a long period of being quiet. Shake the cage all you want Witty. Nobody here is gonna give two cents.

Oh, yeah... He's a REAL gem... Unfortunately, not all enthusiasts are cool folks... Not many are like this guy, but they exist. Don't worry, though... You'll never see him at a track day or anything. He is just a lurker...
-
Dude, why don't you just stick with Local Riders? We really don't need people like you over here. Anyways, it is more sport and track related so, it really doesn't have anything to offer you. And, it's much more fun as they don't have a "Good Ol' Boys Club" here. Thanks for posting just to try and stir shit up. Bye-bye, now...
-
And the point is? The antics you pull over on Local won't go far here. I'd quit while you are ahead... Suggestion, of course. Age has nothing to do with a God damn thing. Why don't you put me on your ignore list here and be done with it? This gets kinda old.

That's a big negative, Ghostrider... I've done pretty much nothing but fill the memory... Shoot me some 411!
-
I did the DVDFab and while it takes a LONG time, it worked great! However, I am getting some wierd pixeling in the really dark scenes. Any suggestions? I have the iPod Touch...

You're the first because you're the only one. Put the bing down and look closer. Just because the deadlights (bigger on the Honda) look the "same shape" doesn't make it look the same overall...

Because they JUST NOW figured out liquid cooling. Plus, it's pretty bad when their sportbike company (Buell) has to resort to buying motors from Rotax for their newest sportbike... HD will NEVER be mentioned with "sportbike".

RELISTED due to buyer MIA and no money has been received. Tried to get the money sent to me for over 3 weeks. So, back on the block.... I have a REAL Limited Edition Joe Rocket Repsol/Nicky Hayden Leather Jacket (Speedmaster) and a set of RARE Repsol gloves. The jacket in Repsol colors is still available, but when they first introduced the jacket, they were only allowed to run the sponsors on the jacket for a set time and once Hayden left Rocket, they had to drop a few things. The Michelin and Diesel Jeans logos are no longer available. Also, small touches like the recessed Rocket logo and even vents are now missing in an effort to save cost. There was supposedly only a small qty of these available and I bought one right before they released these. The gloves are also no longer available and I actually believe they never actually got these released except to only reps. They are the Speedmaster glove in Repsol colorways. Jacket is a 44 and the gloves are size large. Not sure what to ask for these as they are nowhere to be found. Saw a guy selling the gloves with a starting bid of $100 and a Buy it Now of $300 on Ebay, but that sounds pretty stupid. The jackets currently sell for over $400. I was thinking $300 for it all or if I have to seperate, $100 for the gloves and $250 for the jacket. Again, brand new and never worn. Hell, I even have thee bag it came in!

Get the carbs cleaned. I mean CLEANED as in all the jets, passages, etc. It's probably been sitting around for a long time and needs a service...

TONS of stuff - Undertails and Frame Sliders!!!
Moto-Brian replied to Moto-Brian's topic in LBTS GLWS
It's all pretty much goner... I have a tank guard in Carbon Fiber for a CBR1000 and some 96-99 GSXR stuff... -
And who keeps the stock exhaust?
-
I was wanting to do what almost everyone else wants to - do a free download... I might consider the DVDFab, but I am not planning on doing more than a few movies, but who knows... Thanks for the 411, though.

Both will look badass (moreso the ZX10...) in race trim. Finally, I think Honda will have a competitive package to race with... Putty - check the thread below this about DVD to iPod... I had a question you might be able to answer...
-
Hey Putty... I downloaded HandBrake to my PC. When I went to run the program, it gave me the following warning: ".NET runtime library v2.0 or newer is required. You have 1.1.4322." Any idea? Should I skip HandBrake?

Use a breaker bar and tweak it slowly. They weren't cast like they are today... You should be able to bend it back. We used a little heat and a breaker bar anytime we had a crash and bent them...

In a nutshell what I said. He did the wrong thing calling Kaw on his own. Sure it wasn't 100% pleasant and I sorta understand... That's why the dealer should have went to bat for him. I have been in the motorcycle industry for over 13 years and the dealer can make or break the situation. Good dealer can get a shit load of things accomplished. A lazy dealer won't try too hard and when it comes time you really need something done, you take it into your own hands. By then, frustration sets in and it usually goes south quick. Find another dealer who is more into you as a customer and knows street machines well. Who is that? For Kaw, good luck... I know Clinton County is a GREAT Kaw dealer, but they know MX VERY well. Not sure on the street side... If you are stating you'd be happy with a new tranny at this point, I am left wondering why you'd settle? Attorney fees are going to be huge if you settle for what Kaw has probably stated they do anyways... Seems strange you'd make that comment...
-
But again, the tranny being serviced ot the issues related being serviced 9 times means the dealer didn't do things right. It should have been handled properly at the start... I really doubt the Lemon Law will come into effect here - I am going to wager they will call it wear and tear and offer a motor at best or actually, a new tranny and possibly cases if they were damaged.
-
That was in reference to the other guy.... Not your case. He stated the 600s have a cam issue - they don't. They are having issues with either valves, buckets, guides, rod bearings, etc. Not cams. Taylor Knapp has lost two motors this year and Kaw covered them both 100%. They think it was a rod issue....
-
The car industry is vastly different than the motorcycle industry. You shouldn't have to talk to the OEM on your own. You were obviously upset and surely that didn't help your cause. Yes, Lemon Law takes into effect, but the deal is if the OEM does something about it each time and still things go wrong. In this case (maybe not enough info), the DEALER should be talking with Kawasaki. If that communication breaks down and nothing is done (Especially after 9 times), there is an issue. Again, you'll be lucky to get a new motor. Trannies on motorcycles are a strange item. If it is a manufacture defect that caused your issue, then fine. If it is from abuse, you're hosed. Getting lawyers involved hasn't helped your case. Kawasaki will hold firm and you may not get a thing... Good luck.
