According to GPS, the difference in speed he had on me at Putnam should have put him into the 11s on the Panigale. Maybe low 12s. Track day pace... I suspect that considering he wants the outright track record (1:09 flat), he's going to be on the "A" game and we all will just be watching...

Hob- I am definitely interested... Just need to check on the cash flow and will PM you. If you can send a pic of the wear and tear, that would be great. I assume it is nothing as the stuff holds up great.

He will be on an 1198S as he retired the 1098R and has some repairs to make on his 1199. But, no matter what he races, he's most likely going to wax us all and even Gene...

Shitty- Got your message and was out in CA all week with meetings and just couldn't get the time to call. The schedule gets so tight when we do meetings, ride and eat... As you know, I had a guy from TN looking at it prior and he sent a deposit and will be picking it up this week. Sorry, guys... Galaxy - never heard anything from you so, outside this thread, if you sent a PM or called, I didn't get it. As for your questions, we have a 3 year old and a 13 year old. Both are easy fits in the back. The car seat is a bit tight, but it works just fine. We are an active family with sports, races, etc and we are in and out of the thing constantly. Works great. As for height, I have a traditional height garage I think. May be a bit taller than normal, but it BARELY fits. If I did the leveling kit, I don't think it would fit. It's that close...

Obviously Matt Carr will be out with us as well as Gene Burcham. I think Neyra also is coming as well as myself. I know a lot of the Junkies will most likely be there again this year. Should be a packed raceday event. Won't be there for the track day, however...

Well, they should cover the windscreen or redesign it to avoid that. We had a similar issue with the Multis and we covered it under warranty and then updated the design and it hasn't happened again. Whatever... I don't really give two shits. All I am saying is that it shouldn't happen. The design and placement of the dash should avoid this issue. Some people have these bikes outside all the time and travel a ton in areas where the sun is hard core like Arizona, etc. If a common problem, it needs fixed. If a spotty issue, cover under warranty. Easy. In adding an aftermarket windscreen, I understand that the idea is that it has been changed and thus, cannot be covered. But, if a strong relationship is developed with a dealership, they can get it handled under good will. Happens all the time and companies take care of things that are not always covered. Hence the importance of relationships... Again, do whatever. But a 2012 with that few of miles shouldn't have a melted dash.
-
Still shouldn't happen.
-
Take it to another dealer. That windscreen issue is able to be warrantied. Push harder and they will. We've seen that on other bikes and it gets handled...

Let me know, man. I have a guy in Tennessee interested. I'd rather sell locally.

With a very heavy heart, I am posting my 2010 FJ Cruiser up for sale. Just cannot justify having this thing while the wife has a car, I have the van and company car. Miles are high, but the thing is in great shape. The miles are high because I am a regional rep and cover several states. I drive about 40k a year... 2010 Toyota FJ Cruiser: -90,000 miles. Mostly highway. -Automatic -4x4 -Arctic White -Off Road package with Bilsteins (optional equip) -Roof rack (optional equip) -Passenger arm rest (optional equip) -6 disc stereo head unit (optional equip) -Cloth floor mats covering front, back floor and back cargo area BRAND NEW (optional equip) -Trailer Tow Package. NEVER TOWED A TRAILER - only bought to haul mountain bike carrier (optional equip) -Toyota brush guard (optional equip) -compass, level gauge and dash cluster (optional equip) Accessories I added: -Ricochet air dam -Rock sliders -Team Trails official Toyota bumper wings front and rear, grill, mirrors and door handles -Hella driving lights on brush guard -MPAC rear rack for back door with (4) STAT bags -Rubber all weather floor mats -Pro-Comp 16" wheels (5) -Falken Rocky Mountain tires (5) -Pro-Comp leveling kit for the front - NEW IN BOX -3M clear front mask. Covers hood, frontal area, A-Pillars and headlights. Installed when new professionally -Window tint professionally installed. Lifetime warranty. -Used set of front Team Trails bumper wings. Was going to paint, but never got to it. The thing has been ultra dependable. Again, miles are mostly freeway. The car has no rust, never been in an accident and has little to no dents and dings. Has a few scratches in the cargo area from hauling bikes, parts, etc. But VERY minor. The windshield does have a crack and will be replaced prior to selling. This is common, but is the original windshield so, it took a looooong time. I will provide interior pics and will have the car fully detailed. Having a three year old makes it tough. But, not a single torn seat or damaged anything inside. I am asking $18k. I think from looking at these, typically, the 2010s are in the $24k range and older FJs with higher miles are fetching $18-$19k. With accessories and add-ons, I think it is a fair price.

Hey fag... What are the compounds for those race tires? Buddy may buy them... For anyone interested, some of my fastest lap times ever were on those tires... They are really, really good and if flop fish doesn't rape you on price, worth it! PS - we need to meet up for lunch with Drew. I have said I am meeting for lunch like 3 months ago, but work makes it so difficult to line up. It would be fun to make fun of you in person.

Yup, that's me. I'd say for never doing photography, you're doing a damn fine job! I appreciate the post. Yes, I know who your brother is. Hopefully, he doesn't think I'm too big an asshole anymore... He looks great on that FZ. That's a really cool bike in my opinion. He looks to be gettin er done!

Dave is fucking awesome. He's an awesome rider and probably one of the most generous guys in the paddock. He had some tank grip in his hands and I simply asked how much for a sheet and it handed it over and gave me what he had. Guy is awesome. He also loaned me a battery at Putnam earlier in the year. He turned I think 33s on Tuesday...
-
Depends on what time. I pulled some 34s through the day and a few 36s on the ZX10 I was trying to dial in for a buddy. Not terrible times, but I think between me and Carr, we had the fastest. Grey was doing 34s also... Kraft was doing very slow times and almost checked up and took Carr out in the carousel! Let's see the pics. The ones you've posted are really, really good!!

Will be there Monday. Running advanced trying to dial the Pani in. Will have Carr there also!!

nice job, Brandon! How was the track surface? Seems the times were a tad higher than last year for the pole spots in all classes. Oh and Todd - I TRIED to stay out of that maylay. I went over 2 feet out and still ate a shit burger...

Close Friend's Superbike Dream Getting A Little Exposure...

The 21 year old was referrin to Nash, goob. Yes, Justin runs MS regularly. That's one reason why the series has credibility... -
Cool article on Justin Neyra's team. Justin's a great friend and has worked his balls off to get the program where it is. I think he is getting some well deserved press and has a great program. And, he's an Ohio boy!!! http://www.superbikeplanet.com/2013/Jul/130709huntlee.htm Stop by and slug him in the shoulder and tell him I said for you to do it. But also get a good look at the bikes as he has done a great job with them as well.

What a damn deal!!! The fairing stay looks to b aftermarket which is probably worth the asking price alone!! Nice job, Serp!

If in Dayton, go see the guys at Ducati Indy. They are doing ceramic coating on a lot of bikes these days and can do tons of different colors. They have a top notch guy that I think is doing Indy stuff also. Not 100% on that... But, ceramic coating can be done easily... It's not bad, either. There aren't as great a gain as people think. It doesn't really help that much, but it is getting very popular...

Motorcycle Radio Show? Soliciting Input From The Forum
Moto-Brian replied to RVTPilot's topic in Daily Ride
I think it is a great idea. The issue is the cost to be on the show. I had a guy from that area up north that has a show and he wanted some serious support from when I was at KTM to promote the sport and what we were doing. I offered to do a weekly report covering some racing and things or track days, etc and have KTM (at the time) be the sponsor of the segment. But, he wanted too much stuff... The issue will be marketing budgets, but I am willing to offer support in some way as long as I can justify the expense and what the return potentially could be... -
The backpack idea is silly in my mind. I've seen numerous crashes where the rider tumbles a good bit. Tumbling with a child on the back makes me feel there is more risk of hurting them vs. them separate from the rider. In my opinion, if you are that worried about injury, sell the bike and buy some bicycles. Then again, I've seen some serious injuries with kids and bicycles. Better invest in bubble wrap and a padded room. That's a lot safer... The age is a concern based on the ability to understand holding on and staying put. I get that. But, if they are growing up as riders and you are doing your job in teaching them the skillset needed, they shouldn't have issue riding on your bike by age 9-10. Kids understand a lot more than we think they do. Try the scooter/dirtbike deal and ride on the back with them on front. Get them to understand the fundamentals and the safety aspects and you'll be fine. Don't do the back pack. Hinders your movement and I can only imagine when you tumble, what they will get strapped on your back.

Basically, my oldest (13) has been on a motorcycle on his own since 4. From about 3 on, he's been on the front of the scooter in the pits, around the block, etc. at around 5, we would ride the scooter and do wheelies and stuff. On the front of the dirt bikes, etc. When he was 10-11, he was riding on the back of my RC8 and SMR demos. Now at 13, he's an awesome passenger. We hit higher speeds and he never over reacts. But again, he's been riding for 9 years on multiple bikes as a rider and passenger. Always helmets being worn. He's grown up around it and it is as common as your typical kid who plays catch with his dad in the back yard. He now takes out our 2-1/2 year old on the scooter and his dirt bike. Slowly in the yard. I take him on the scooter also. It's how you bring them into it that counts. It's also how they experience it that will help or harm them in the future.
