It's showing for me? I can try and send. Easier to text. PM me your phone number and I can text. But try and refresh the thread and see if it shows.

One would think people like that know what they need or have people that do. But case in point? BlueGrass... Had the money (Far more than $500k), had the people, had the land, had a plan, had people come out that were experts in laying it out... Where is it now? EPA issue with the Ohio River was a major situation there. Just sayin...

Nobody wants some tastey bits for a fraction of the cost for their Ducati? -
And don't forget the EPA needing to be there should any changes to the track occur - which will need to be done once they repave as the speeds are going to SOAR! Not to mention disposal of the tires. I cannot remember what the amount guessed on a per tire amount was... As far as the steel rails comments, yes - all tracks have them to some degree. But think Watkins Glenn and then compare to Mid-O... The point is that steel rails for a car built and focused track line the track on both sides... Very dangerous for bikes. If the repave is $2.5 million, they are going to have well above $500k in fixing up the area and making sure everything is up to code. The thing that I believe Nelson was avoiding was renovations as they open up a can of worms on permits, random checks on safety and of course the fact that they are near a nature reserve that run off will be a huge concern. Run off and the river near BlueGrass was a major hurdle in that track and a big issue why it died off... EPA will be watching with a new owner and I am willing to guess they will have a lot of say in any changes to the track itself and especially regarding potential run off...

And that is what scares me. We've seen car guys build tracks. They love steel rails... I hope I am wrong and will applaud his efforts and really hope for yet another great track within our region!

BNIB Ducati carrier and sprockets and water pump housing...

Get one from Tommy over at Indy. Matt is picking his bike up... He could grab it. They sell the one that has the two sizes all in one. The nut isn't the same on each side so you need two different sizes. You also should get the axle tool to boot... And remember... DO NOT OVER TIGHTEN THE FRONT PINCH BOLTS!!! -

Socket? To remove the wheel? I have a ton of Ducati tools. Just let me know what you need to borrow. -
While it is exciting to see things like that, the fact that they are tearing things down that are in a condition that is unsafe or should have been torn down much earlier, I will need to see improvements that are track related. Here's my concerns... Widening the track and total repave. That means more run off. Do you realize what the lap times will be if that happens? Know what 1:06s looked like in the similar state it is now? Think if total repave and widening happens... More run off in the carousel. How? They have wetlands on the outside. That means a complete redesign really as the run off needed in that location should the pavement be premium and wider... Post kink. The speeds entering turn 12. Turn 1. These are areas of concern. Think about how fast you will be able to hit the kink and carry speed to the braking zone of turn 11. You blow that turn at that new increased speed... A wall is a bad idea. But that distance from turn 12 to the exit of 13 on to the front straight is very short in distance. We've seen even slower riders blow that and get close. Tires. That alone is a large financial issue. The hauling off and such. Then buying new tires and bundling. K-Rail. Corner stations. Track timing system. My opinion is that they very well may redo the track, but it will be a country club idea. Too many renos and the way to make that back? Memberships. Listen, I am excited at the idea that we may see another great track in our region. I am. Love Nelson and love the layout. And you know that WERA and others will come and race there. We will get serious racing and trackdays galore within 3-4 hours total. Can't be anything but excited. But because they are doing things that really should have been done years prior and are essentially low budget actions, the track is the primary worry. I think we will see a new Nelson. But I also think that we may see something that turns private or similar to what Putnam is at minimum. I don't think that they are going to be able to justify the ROI unless they step up HUGE and make this a premiere track in Ohio and the east coast. Nelson SERIOUSLY if done well could be a host for MotoAmerica. A lot to do to get to that I know, but the layout is amazing and the area allows for the track to host so much and capable of housing so much. But that means garages, concrete parking, landscaping and a host of other things outside the track itself. But a dreamer can dream. Not a bash to what is happening. I think it will be great. I just hope the results are well thought out and not just slapping a new decal on it and calling it good to go.

Have a couple of pairs of TXC boots. The first set is the older R-S2 design. Basically, the toe box is a bit bigger and doesn't have the lace up system like the white pair does. The white ones are 2016 design and the Ducati ones are 2015. Both have the pump to fit design... SIZE 46! Crashed in the Ducati ones. Nothing major, but ripped the toe slider off and is an easy fix. I can probably get it free, but no promises. Isn't much to fix... Asking $225 White TCX is also the R-S2, but the new design. Decreased the toe box size and has a new lace up system. Boot fits a little smaller also. SIZE 45!!! These are damn near brand new. Maybe worn 4 days at the track? Did race in them but was never scuffed or crashed in. You can see a small scuff from the shifter rubber cover. These are like new... Asking $275 Ducati: White set:

Oh, date is wrong... And the Ducati sites require names and is supposed to be 2016... I is dumb, dumb... -
So, cleaning out the garage and came across some Ducati NEW AND IN THE PACKAGE parts... Ducati Speedy Moto Water Pump housing. PRT# 02-0206BLK. States it fits 02-Current except 916. So double check. Retail is $289.99. Asking $200. Ducati quick change carrier, sprockets and chain. Designed for 796, 848, 996, S4R/RS, 998, 1000DS, 1000 S2R, 1100 monster, and Hypermotard (ALL) Retail is over $500 (Has extra counter sprocket and rear sprocket). Asking $300 - COMES WITH BOTH REAR AND COUNTER SPROCKETS! Quick change is black with TWO black rears and black link chain. These are AFAM built stuff and not crappy Chinese stuff. We had them for the 2013+ Hyper 820s. May fit the new ones also... I suspect that they will. You need to confirm. These are without shipping prices. The water pump housing is a little higher than I usually go because it fits damn near everything. Loads of things the quick change fits also. But not as many... Pump housing: Quick Change:

There is going to be a LOT of work needing done and if a car guy bought it and wants to build this thing, it will most likely have a country club result or have enough steel barriers to line the toll road. I hope otherwise, but with the fact they have conservation things regarding the land and wetlands, I hope it isn't a big deal. Sounds like they bought it right and can start off on a small cost, but the removing of tires alone is going to be a big nut. We will see. The fact that they are closing it until it is deemed safe shows that a lot of us weren't off track in thinking it was just rough and not well suited for aggressive racing. Gravel traps in the carousel on the outside are going to be an issue and probably need to revamp the layout to accommodate the wetlands to the outside edge, etc. Just the grooming of the rough areas in the grass run off spots is a big under taking. Basically, they want to make it "modern" and viable for competition? They have a loooooooong road to haul. Wish the best. Would be great to have two tracks in Ohio that are premier and in great shape. Cool to see Beaver revamped and if they can get Nelson back, maybe the NC region can come alive again! Hearing Putnam looking to repave is also exciting news. But I will believe the Nelson stuff when I see it actually happening. Too many times we've been disappointed...

Attackpainter (Paul) would be the guy. He's got a smokin KX450...

What size rear axle?

It really isn't about lap times. Sure, you run a 2:00 in advanced and you will get the boot. But honestly, it is really smoothness, predictability and consistency. There are thoughts to speed differences in each group, but those can be different day to day. If the "A" group is running 1/2 of the field at 1:35 and faster, then the speed is higher and a guy running 1:46s isn't going to be doing well. But if the group is running 1:39ish, then he's good. I hate lap times. They can't be precise in telling anything because you rarely get clean, full laps.

No idea how to edit the new forum stuff. BUT... PINNED IS SOLD TO RVTPILOT!! Laguna and Raceday are still available!!!!
-
Note that the Raceday was very limited use. I wore it for only street use last year...
-
The Raceday was 2014. The Laguna and Pinned were all last season lids...

Waste of time. You're better off taking everything apart and inspecting and greasing and reassembling. Typically, the head steering stem gets twisted and guys like Reuben at 35 Motorsports can get them back into straight cheap. I think should you have a really bad crash, you are going to replace the components that got damaged anyways... If the frame is tweaked, you're shit out of luck anyways. I don't personally know anyone that does the GMD type thing anymore... Newer racers do, but they tend to fade away and stop later on. Take the forks off, have them checked and revalved, refreshed and do the same with the shock. Soend that GMD money on good internals and proper spring rates and you'll be better off.

The boots are 45 Euro... I am an 11 shoe and they fit great! Let me know. I will take some pics today as I cleaned the Sprinter out and have to move some things around... Now, who needs some helmets??
-
Red nailed it. I think everyone is over thinking this whole deal. If you honestly feel slighted that you cannot be in Advanced Group, get an eval and ask to be bumped up. Simple as that. The quality instructors at the "A" and "I" groups will be able to assess without bias.

Intermediate goes out first. Will stay that way for 2016. And it doesn't matter who goes first... If YOU feel the track is too cold or whatever the reason, sit out a session. If your mind tells you it isn't going to be fun, it won't be and you add risk. I've gone out in sub 40 degree weather for race practice. Track is the same for everyone. Ability gets you where you need to be. Whether advanced or intermediate, everyone has the same hurdle. The BS about the track cold is crazy to me. If I HAVE to be out there, I know hoe to ride it. If I can choose, I stay in the garage. It's just that simple.

And finally to the 20 seconds difference... In ANY group if a 20 second difference, you are looking at a bump. If you are running 20 seconds slower than the fastest "I" rider, that's probably over 2:00/lap. Not gonna happen... So, to that point in regards to safety, we will bump when we see these types of things. No different than "A" Group. Fastest guy is running 1:30 and you are running a 1:50... That's "I" Group pace. There will not be a true baseline for times. We do not feel lap times are the top indicator. However... They will be used in reference at times like this kind of idea. What are those baselines? I feel differently than most. I hate lap times. I can find a guy in "A" that can run a 1:36 on his purdy laptimer. Has a great session of bench racing with his buddies and shows that one lap he squeeked out that high 1:36. Issue is he was on fire, out of control, murdering his lines and turn in points, etc. Had he slowed down and rode smart and with a reserve, he'd run a 1:39. That guy needs help. He's going to pop can his bike and possibly hurt someone else for a stupid lap time. On the other side, I use lap times to show the difference in what we work on vs. what they were doing prior. I can take a guy and he run a 1:40 and just cannot get into the 30s. I work on lines in the carousel and key hole and we drop 2 seconds instantly. This then is compared and shows him that with the same effort, he is working easier and more efficiently and the result is a faster lap time. Efficiency and smoothness is what I want. Not a damn lap time. Plus, a single lap time os pointless in a track day. Segement work is ideal and what you really need to use those timers for. If I had it my way, I would ban lap timers for most rider...
