  1. title? Interested in a freshly rebuilt RS125 Honda with a ton of spares as a trade?
  2. Wait for the new one... I do know they are awesome machines though. Honestly, the Q5 is a little better as it is not as antiquated and a little more agile. The new one coming is bad ass though... Really can't go wrong with them. No more of the electrical gremlins and sketchy CVT trannies in the newer Audis...
  3. I looked at expert grids last year and saw the reduced attendance. Nelson only is only going to make that worse. The Putnam rounds were money loss events and I understand, but you need to keep at it. Bowling Green is a haul, but people will travel to race there. No PIR? Weird...
  4. Looking for a house to rent in Gahanna, OH. Has to be 3+ bedrooms with a preferred basement or loft that could be a 4th. HAS TO BE IN GAHANNA CITY SCHOOL DISCTRICT! PM me for info if you know anyone. Checked CL, realtors, etc. Just thought maybe someone out there may know of something that isn't posted... Looking at a March 1 move in...
  5. It would be interesting to see what Geoff does on the newest WSBK spec EBR... As I understand it, he was on the AMA spec machine... Larry was on the second gen version... BBoz was on the suzuki. I think it would also be interesting to see what Hayes would do there...
  6. 100lbs lighter than the Triumph and more hp also. This thing in person is beautiful. I am thinking the Classic, but we may get an Icon in red and put the laced wheels on it. They are also going to have the high pipe this spring...
  7. I didn't want the ABS. I knew the fork bodies might be an issue, but the chassis was the same, the motor was the same and the only issues were the fork bodies and wheels. I bought S wheels and did full Ohlins. I personally think I went the right route... The cost difference allowed the motor, suspension and exhaust. Essentially... Now, with the prices having a solid difference, the Standard is going to be a seriously hard bike to pass over. Same with the S where guys in 2014 and prior, we silly to not buy an R model at th price being so close. Now, you have serious amounts to make a choice from. Standard to R is substantial and will prove to make that bike a solid choice...
  8. Hell, man... I remember when 600s were just over $5k!!! EEEK! I'm old!!!
  9. Sold as a racebike with all the street stuff included.
  10. I will agree you can possibly note lower end performance of suspension by bouncing the forks and pushing down on the seat. But no way you can determine how it will handle mid corner by doing so. You haven't even talked chassis. The chassis can assist or even harm performance while the bike is moving. Especially mid corner. If you are that good a suspension whisperer, you'd make a shit pile of money coming to the track and sitting on bikes and determining the mid corner ability or lack thereof...
  11. But it is one long term test article. The bike is a high seller for Yamaha. If the word on the street was that it was a pile, people wouldn't be buying it...
  12. The number of FZ09s that are shown nationwide tells a different story. Remember one simple thing - the internet forums are where people typically post negative or poor experiences. The people that have good experiences typically do not ever post them. So, the weight is in favor of issues being posted... The bike is a solid selling unit and that is MIC data which are registered to customers that you guys do not see.
  13. Got some prices for a car with 195/60/15 and wondered if anyone had a connection or hookup I could use for a bit of a discount. For a friend who is strapped for cash, but needs the car for work and hauling children. Just trying to assist a bit... We tried used, but that has been awful... PM details if anything. Would like to get done this weekend...
  14. Does Dave from memento get any nods? I was suggested to Iggy also. But Dave seems to have exploded and is over 3 months out. Am I better to wait for him or do you think Iggy is as good?
  15. Ok... I am finally wanting to get my half sleeve started and done. The issue is that the one guy I was looking to do it is at least 3 months out. And, he wants to do my third design idea. So... I want a SOLID guy/gal that can do one of the ideas I have in my head. I have thought to draw out ideas and compile, but I am just nervous with getting something done by someone that can't handle it. I am pretty picky and particular with what I want as a lot of you know and have seen with my stuff. I don't want half assed... I am open to suggestions. The issue is that word of mouth is usually the best. Post examples or websites or PM me details. Thanks!
  16. Tenere is a really awesom bike. Great choice! There's a gton of options out there for a ton of different owners. As long as you are riding, it's all good!!! There aren't very many "bad" bikes out there...
  17. Not sure on that. Their chasis are not anything special. In fact, I would argue they certainly aren't second to none in terms of the sportbikes. As for engineering, they are pretty much a solid fit and finish, but as far as engineering, they aren't really blowing it out of the water on engine details and internal parts usage. In fact, most the japanese are behind as their in-lines are essentially unchanged. I'd give kudos to the top Japanese engineering to Yamaha right now. Use of triples, the updated R1 a few years ago. They tend to go outside the norm and design and develop at least some differences in their engineering. But Honda being called second to none is a stretch... In other avenues, I would say in some cases. But in motorcycles? Nah.
  18. They havent been go to since the 90s...
  19. And also understand that Ducati has taken LARGE steps to reduce the labor times for Major service intervals. It used to take a TON of hours on th eolder gen models. Now the effort is lessened due to better engineering and thought towards this. The cost of the first major service is in line with the Japanese. It isn't thousands of dollars. It's on par. As Hob stated, it is a little more due to the quality of parts and yes, the belts. The belts are key, but this is simple and pretty easy to do.
  20. Look up a gent name Dennis Matson. 1199 around the world. He will dispell the 100k myth. Again, Ducati has probably done a poor job of marketing the fact the bikes are now VERY dependable and VERY much in line with what you expect with the Japanese. It's true and we have tons of examples of such. There's also bad. But you have that with ANY brand. What I am saying is that what the GP typically know or remember is stuff from a long time ago and previous generations of Ducati...
  21. I quoted all three prices. There are three models. 1299 Standard, 1299S and Panigale R. Prices listed for each...
  22. Exceptional response. And on target.
  23. Do you have the pipes? Everything to make it complete?
