Well... A lot have been asking what I am going to run next year. Officially allowed to state it now so, I will contest 2015 on the new Ducati Panigale R. I obviously saw this in person during our dealer meeting and I must say that excitement is an understatement. I don't know if everyone knows the real background to this bike and why it exists. Obviously a lot of you know about the 1299 due to a dealer leak last month. But the Panigale R is going to be a homologated racebike. The WSBK rules state that Ducati cannot run a 1299 so, the Panigale R stays as an 1199. HOWEVER, it gets the same hp but less weight. Doing this was a chore of course. The 1199SL has a lot to do with this internally. But not going to bore or advertise the bike. I just am going to say that next year is going to be a blast and I plan on doing more races this time around. We will see... Stock photo:

WHAAAAT? I suppose on a stock geared bike... That's just not typical. The bus stop at Putnam is as slow as it is at Grattan and that's been second gear on everything I've ever raced... Even the stock Hyper Motard...
-
You are at a track where you get into first gear during a hot lap??
-
Are they stock or something like Kibblewhites?
-
Valves replaced and what has the service been towards them? I am interested mildly...

I think Grohl did fine. You gotta realize that the mixture of voice styles is dramatic. I think had Grohl been the only singer, it may have been different. RK hit it on the head with going with Brown's range... I think it rocked. And yes, Hawkins is a beast. There is so much win in that piece.

Wait, had the app. But promise the battery is dead by now.

The phone was not in water from what I can imagine. How does it get tracked if I didn't have the app?

Bike looks to be sold pending funds wired. I will post a for sure once I get the funds in the account. Thanks!

Soooo... Looks like the racebike is sold. So, I was making a test run and guess what fell out of my riding jacket pocket and is in a ditch somewhere? So, this thread can now be JUST FOR THE CASES minus the Element Rogue black and silver in the pics. That was on the phone at the time...

I think it is funny that guys are saying you don't need to blip on a slipper... Is that why there is auto blip on some race bikes with slippers? Hmmmmm.... Blip. It helps reduce the harshness. And you can still get issue even with a slipper... You still have to be smooth and not hamburger shit.

Worth a try, but I cannot accept the trade proposal. I really need to sell to warrant the next project...

Anyone before eBay? I'll get more on eBay and think $300 is a steal. Any takers?

I am selling my iphone 5 and have a bunch of extras that will come with it. The phone is in VERY good condition. I wouldn't say excellent as it does have the typical wear through the ano black edges. But, it is a LOT better than most as it has always had a case or protection wrap. The phone is the 64GB version and is currently AT&T service. You can easily unlock for free almost anywhere so, I don't ever do it because it isn't an issue. Has the original box and is only missing the ear buds. I will try and find them, but I have never used them and suspect that my son has grabbed them and has them. If this is a deal breaker, I will try and source some or something... What the extras are is what makes this one a great deal. I have several cases included. They are as follows: -Element Sector 5 case. Brushed aluminum with Carbon Fiber back cover. Used a good bit, but in great shape. -Element Rogue AL case in black/silver Like new! -Element Rogue AL Ducati case. This is one off and has red rails vs. the white or silver that the others come in. Used maybe twice? -Lunatik Taktik Strike case with custom ear bud switch in red. Normally silver... Used twice. -Gumdrop Tech case in black/red. Never used. Also comes with a new screen protector and a suede back protector. Both brand new and never used. You can apply or I can put it on. There is a screen protector on now, but will be removed to show quality of glass front/screen. Overall, a great piece and works perfect. Just going iPhone 6.... Asking $300. Everything. Pretty firm as if you are not available for upgrade, you won't be able to buy at the lower price. Not to mention the cost of the cases...

Here is with the other bodywork... It is from last season and shows the clutch lever guard on, but was never used. I would also leave the 1199S fender on (carbon) This is what the $15k package would include...

And let me add some details about racing or riding a bike like this. THIS IS NOT A BEGINNER BIKE. But, it also isn't violent and unruly. It is fast, it is something that takes a lot of focus, but it is a pure pleasure to race and track. The traction control is the best I have ever ridden and you'd need a serious amount of kit parts to get the feel this produces in a Japanese machine. Even the Kawi kit box doesn't have this good of TC. I've ridden both and the ZX10 tells you and lets you know when it is hitting in. Without the dash on the 1199, I wouldn't know half the time if at all. I sometimes can catch her stepping out and catching hard, but it is rare. In fact, Matty is always on me about trusting it and I think this year I made progress. The bike handles like a razor blade. I am a rider that needs front end feel on an above average level. I ride the front a lot and with a little bit of a loose riding style, I hammer the front on corner entry. With Matt's help, we got the suspension giving MUCH MORE feedback and the chassis geo is spot on. It can ALWAYS use a little bit more input and perfection, but it is DAMN good. Anyways... I will stop rambling. This is bittersweet for me. I love the way it is setup and I love the passion in this machine. I believe every bike has a soul and this is one of the racebikes of many I have had the pleasure of racing that is one of my favorites. I will hate to see her go and hope she lands in good hands.

I updated the thread with current pics with the wheels I will be selling it with. I also updated the post to reflect everything that is on the bike. The total even shocked me at a retail standpoint. I can promise that whomever buys this thing, will be getting one hell of a bike. And I can put it back to street, but honestly would be better to sell as a complete package and you do it. I'd have to consider maybe a tad more for the labor involved in putting it back to street. BUT... As a street bike? Wow... It would be a slayer... Anyways, check it out and if anyone is interested, $15k is a cheap entry for one of these.

What are the tire sizes?

In reference to the not missing it part, I was saying that if you had three or more days, you qualify and they will have a bunch of prizes. The event is ran like any other track day, but the idea is that it is a bit more loose and fun. Prizes and such... You'll have a fun time and anyone that has maybe two events, sign up for the October 6th event and YOU ARE IN for the next day!!!

It stays Desmo-Brian. Let me make it very clear. While the EBR is a cool bike and I wish Erik all the success in the world, it isn't an 1199. It's cool, but unless something seriously drastic happens, I'll be staying with Ducati.
-
I just never say "never" because you never know what the future holds. As it sits this very minute, the EBR just isn't there. And while I hate selling this thing, the replacement will be just as much a beautiful brute. Promise.
