  1. That's a good article and it shows that you don't need to spend $500-600 on a helmet. When you get into the expensive helmets you are paying more for graphics, ventilation, and weight...not safety. I would do some serious research on helmets instead of just going out and buying one. Helmets really are the most important piece of safety gear. I would narrow it down to a few that are in your price range and then go try them on. IF you are patient spend the winter searching eBay/internet and you will probably find a good deal. I had a Shoei TZR which is Shoei's entry level helmet ($250-300) and I really liked it accept for the fact it didn't have a removable liner. It has a heavier, fiberglass shell which makes it a very quiet helmet. Ventilation is OK. I found a good deal on a couple Shark RSR2 helmets on eBay after searching for months. They aren't very popular so you can usually find some decent deals on them. I really like the Shark but its considerably louder than my old Shoei. It has good ventilation, a removable liner, F1 spec shield, and nice graphics. Crappy pictures but you get the idea: http://www.ohio-riders.net/showthread.php?t=16563
  2. Hey! What happened to my rep! I had 31....now I'm at 5...
  3. Damn, maybe I should edit my post before Whodey finds it and fucks up my reputation....
  4. Well, I don't know about best...but here is the funniest: Back in high school, I was riding on the back of my buddy's 4-wheeler with no helmet (we were just putzing through the woods) and we went up the hill in my back yard. At the top, my friend decided to do a wheelie and me not being prepared fell of the back...except my legs were stuck so my head just dragged along the ground for a while. My mom was watching the whole thing from the back porch..
  5. It's a gay meter...the lower the number the more gay you are. I have a 30 and you only have 10 so that makes you three times as gay as me. Whodey is in the negatives I believe.
  6. Yeah, I don't understand that green box either..
  7. Yes...me too. I'm going to get to work on recreating the last 200 posts I had. I want it to be like it was yesterday. So, I heard this meet in greet is in October right? Still a couple months off but I will try to make it!
  8. Damn, Ben...I wasn't around for a week or so and you ran this site into the ground... J/k Thanks for working hard getting it back up and running! +1 That's funny...I thought the same thing. I started to read through some of the posts and was thinking "Damn, I wish I could reset my life back to August...I'd make a few changes!" Oh well...shit happens!
  9. +1 Lure him into chasing you on your 600rr and I'll take a couple of pictures!
  10. No thanks! Going down in short sleeves would be painful....give that guy a jacket.
  11. Chances of me making it on Sunday are slim...will try my best though.
  12. Like Ninjachk said, get a temporary tag! You don't need the title to get them...but I would think the dealer should have done this for you?
  13. I disagree with this. Maturity is just as important (probably more) than skill level. It's all about controlling those urges to twist the throttle and clearly this young kid was not able to do that. Sad to hear it cost him his life....RIP
  14. Intelligence has nothing to do with common sense.....and you have must have none.
  15. RIP...he was one funny guy
  16. Hopefully, I would have chased them down until I got their plate number or address. Stupid people.
  17. I've been using the same Kelty backpack for about 6+ years now. Made it through the end of high school and all of college with it. Definitely the best pack I have ever had. I use it hiking, mountain biking and on my motorcycle and it even has a spot for a water bladder. I spend about 70% of my time riding with a backpack which gets very old.
