  1. Yeah, those were at the cleveland expo in january by the suzuki booth. Wait till you see the price tag on them. $4000+ !! I'd rock carbon BST wheels long before that.
  2. X eleven http://www.indysuperbike.com/customer/home.php?cat=26431 RF-1000 http://www.indysuperbike.com/customer/home.php?cat=26427 I've used both of these helmets and they both have great construction and comfort. However, the difference between the two helmets is huge. The x eleven is noticeably lighter and much more ventilation. This will guarantee your visor to never fog with a high flow of air coming from upper and lower ducts directly to the visor. The liner in the helmet is also fully removable making it easy to wash or replace later with different sizes of padding. I know Shoei also backs their helmets with a 5 year warranty from purchase vs HJC 2 or 3 year warranty. The shell of all Shoei helmets are the same 3 layer construction. http://www.shoei-helmets.com/road/accessories_matrix.aspx 2 layers of fiberglass and 1 layer for carbon to increase the strength / weight ratio. Ultimately I love all their helmets but they're expensive for reasons beyond just the paint. The links above are some of the best prices I've seen around.
  3. oh, and did I mention you get killer graphics on them. If you look up the shell construction on these, they are a 3 layer design with a composite layer that reduces the weigh.
  4. I think the AC-12 carbon gets into the $400+ range. I would suggest looking into a shoei or an arai by that point. They have better overall construction: ventilation, visor systems, weight, and quiet interior. That's just my own $.02
  5. Can you bring some of them to bike night tomorrow. I'll get them from you there.
  6. zipf locks on 5th ave in columbus. it's not too far from delaware but you might find something closer
  7. If I come back down to cincinnati this weekend I'm for sure going back there.
  8. I know the 2003 636 has that feature. It may be across all the kawi sport bikes. My old vulcan never had that.
  9. Lol, better watch out for those greasy pork/chicken/cow/dog/mystery meat sandwitches.
  10. Here's some of the guys who were on this ride. Maybe next time I'll get pictures of the actual roads we are on. ">
  11. Bicycle stores have a hooked wrench by park tool that will work for rear suspension coils. In fact it is almost identical to the hooked wrenches park tool makes for the motorcycles.
  12. Here's a general overview of the route we took. Everything that was not on the highway was simply amazing. It's all highlighted in pink. ">
  13. sorry, we spent more time on the bikes than we did standing around. 180 mile day and it was mostly twisties.
  14. OH, and for all you doubters out there. Nick had no trouble keeping pace with us on the zx-14. That bike can move!
  15. we went out on 22 today and damn, I wouldn't suggest taking new riders out on there unless you plan on taking your time. Those are some pretty sweet twisties to play in. I'm up for a ride there again anytime.
  16. Sweet riding guys, loved the roads. It's always good to run into old faces with new activities.
  17. Try lake hope park down by hawking hills. They have about 30 miles of trial for hiking and mountain biking. There are some nice views along the way too.
  18. Hey guys, I'm in cincinnati for the weekend and I believe this is the only good day to ride. Is anybody going out to ride tonight, I'm looking for things to do. Shoot me a message if you want to meet up.
  19. I just may be there this time. I'll be in cincinnati all weekend with my bike if the weather is good.
  20. Damn it! So after seeing the rain yesterday and for tonight I ended up driving to cincinnati and my pathfinder isn't much fun in the turns. Sorry for the let down guys but you should all ride 22 anyway. I looked it up and it looks like a pretty sweet route.
  21. There's some scale in the bottom right. That's about 10-15 miles but all curves. 56 is the longest if you want to continue on that.
  22. simple way to gauge the warp in your rotor. Tape a zip tie or something to your front fender and position it close to the rotor that concerns you. As the wheel spins, you can hear and see the oscillations in the rotor as the face moves toward and away from the edge of the zip tie. This method will not provide a numerical measurement of how large the deformation is, but it will give you a good relative indication for where the rotor is warped. I straightened a rotor using this method and it worked beautifully. The warped portion was roughly 3-5 mm out of true from the rest of the rotor. Let me know if you have questions, I can send pictures of the setup.
  23. Well, I got a few more people from columbus and dayton who are interested. Sounds like we may have a good turn out. I'll be in friday night so I can catch you guys saturday late morning to head down and make an afternoon out of it. Romulus, I'm guessing you know of some good places to go down there?
