Yeah. Read it and try to understand who its coming from. I've noticed that you have difficulty picking up on it most of the time. Its much easier - far less paperwork and a near ZERO chance of having to pay unemployment - and a shitload more fun. However, some hardline cases have to be dealt with immediately and they do. Find someone that used to work second shift at a company I ran in Twinsburg - I fired all of them the first week I was there.

Nope. If someone needs to go - supervisor (moderator) or otherwise the final decision rests with me. At the same point in time, a supervisor doesn't have carte blanche to run the company either (as the mods do here). I'm not big on paper trails either. Usually I'll just make them miserable enough to quit. The situation here isn't comparable to how a company is run. Right now, you have the foxes guarding the hen house. It doesn't work.

Exactly my point. Two threads. Yes, I'm well aware of what the word means. Hence the reason I used it. It was sarcasm, you liberal fuck. Learn it. I didn't start a battle. I didn't know it was three threads. I'm pretty sure its always been two. Stating my displeasure that some posts from an old thread have been moved so as not to offend someone's friends indicates that I have thin skin is a stretch. When the judicious application of infractions because someone makes it a personal issue, I'm going to say something. While we're at it, I am not bitching that I got an infraction. My problem is the snarky comment that came with it. In my opinion it shows that whoever sent it probably shouldn't be a moderator. Send the infraction and be done with it - leave the cheap shot pussy comment out of it.

The first one, or the second one? If it was the second one that I got today, maybe YOU can explain which post it was for, or what a "profile infraction" is? By default, yes. If this is truly everyone's board (as Ben said earlier) if its not offensive to everyone then there's no need to moderate it. Yes. But you knew that already. Yeah, ok. That's all I need to know.

Exactly. Make it "fair and balanced". We can all hand out "infractions" at will. Oh wait, we tried that before. The rep system didn't "work", and neither does the pack mentality with the new keepers of the rep system. I'm sure its a daunting task to keep some type of lid on most of us here and its certainly more work than one person should have to attend to as a "hobby". However, when you give the "power" to a few you can be damn sure that it will be abused in very short order. I think that's been proven here time and time again. As an alternative, I'd suggest that moderators NOT be able to pass out "infractions" unless a complaint has been lodged by another member. At that point whoever monitors the "moderator" mail box can make a decision on what punishment can be meted out. In most cases, a simple PM stating "that was outta line" can work wonders. We're all adults here (well most of us are anyway.) There - "positive" constructive criticism. Or am I still being to negative?
